If you actually paid attention to your president you would see.....what we see..
Here ya go Lisa, something for you to read this week, you can read can't you?
Two paragraphs I pulled from the article, love them!
To use the terms Obama first employed in his Inaugural Address: The
president begins by extending a hand to his opponents; when they respond
by raising a fist, he demonstrates that they are the source of the
problem; then, finally, he moves to his preferred position of moderate
liberalism and fights for it without being effectively tarred as an
ideologue or a divider. This kind of strategy takes time. And it means
there are long stretches when Obama seems incapable of defending
himself, or willing to let others define him, or simply weak. He did the
same thing during the campaign against Hillary Clinton and his strategy
won out in the end.
If I sound biased, that’s because I am. Biased toward the actual record,
not the spin; biased toward a president who has conducted himself with
grace and calm under incredible pressure, who has had to manage crises
not seen since the Second World War and the Depression, and who as yet
has not had a single significant scandal to his name. “To see what is in
front of one’s nose needs a constant struggle,” George Orwell once
wrote. What I see in front of my nose is a president whose character,
record, and promise remain as grotesquely underappreciated now as they
were absurdly hyped in 2008. And I feel confident that sooner rather
than later, the American people will come to see his first term from the
same calm, sane perspective. And decide to finish what they started.
Obama symbolize that which is presidential. The republican candidates symbolize jackels, barking and nipping at each othe, and never being able to reach the heights of greatness.
What if the Republicans find someone who isn’t sleazy, stupid, soulless or a nut, or a combination thereof? Fortunately they haven’t.
What if they divert the angst of Americans so they take their frustrations out on minorities and the poor instead of the reckless, criminal , greedy bastards who killed the economy? Fortunately Occupy came along.
What if there is a cataclysmic terrorist attack such as ACTUALLY HAPPENED under the last Republican administration? Fortunately their prayers haven’t been answered … God forbid.
I rather like this quote from Crooks and Liars because it puts the hysteria and lies about Obama in context:
“Back in the '50s, an era conservatives romanticize, Dwight Eisenhower presided over a 91% marginal rate on the wealthy and launched the biggest public works project in US history -- which was paid for by tax increases. During the '80s, another favorite decade of the right-wing, Ronald Reagan raised taxes 12 times -- including one of the largest tax increases in U.S. history -- and signed a bill that provided a path to citizenship for immigrants. Both of which would be unthinkable in today’s GOP. Today, we live in an era in which a 35% tax on the highest earners constitutes tyranny, a $787B emergency measure to stave off a second Great Depression – over a third of which was tax cuts – is characterized as a historically unprecedented spending binge -- and the GOP's answer to immigration is to forcibly deport 12M people. Not to mention the fact that Senate Republicans have used the filibuster more than any other minority in history -- and that now it's commonplace for Republican presidential candidates to argue that the most popular programs of the New Deal and the Great Society should be eliminated.”
Oh so with him his politics not policy. Tonite he is going to use the word "fair" about 20 times making people believe if we just tax the rich more everything will be OK because he's got nothing else. His policies are bigger government, more regulations and higher taxes. You can eat up all the BS they feed you about the economy but more people claimed unemployment benefits, the spending is out of control and this health care bill is full of so much uncertainty.
Lisa you idiot. Obama is asking for the power to cut the budget and republicans are refusing it because the reality is their buddies, the one percent, get more government largess then than all the welfare moms and unemployed by far.
But watching you make an idiot of yourself and bend your sheep ass over for the collective right wing is funny.
He has no interest in cutting the budget . He is using it for political proposes. How can you even believe him when all he wants to do is spend us into oblivion. Keep on chanting Hope and Change Truth. So far how's that working out for you? Unless you are rich and you don't mind paying 1000.00 month to heat your house or 400.00 a month on gas to go to work,if you even have a job. Been to the grocery store lately?
This blog will not tolerate personal attacks on its authors so please stay on topic so your comments will be welcomed and published, otherwise we will delete! :-)

ReplyDeleteIt’s a supremely risky strategy…

He's been cutting you blind, right wing sheep.
ReplyDeleteTell your tea bagger pals and Boehner and McConnell to quit impeding progress and make America great once again.
Perhaps they can "cut the budget" when Obama and the Senate actually submit one.Its been 1000 days since the dem controlled Senate sbmitted a budget.
ReplyDeleteYou poor deluded right wing fools. it's your pal Boehner that said everything that comes to the House is dead on arrival.
ReplyDeleteBlame that clown.
And where did the comment that showed up in my email from you go Lisa? Figure out it was too ignorant to leave up?
