I like the way that certain politicians are again brave enough to use the old argument that it's only okay for ordinary people to own guns for hunting and other peaceful purposes.
This whole meme about owning guns for protection and claiming ridiculous defensive gun usage to your internet buddies has got to go. I can see a poor elderly person who lives alone and is threatened with property loss or violence, sure... go out and buy a gun. But in ordinary life, it's smarter to just avoid violent conflict rather than brandish or fire a weapon.
