How many times do we have to say it, FOX NEWS LIES!!!!!!

I got this comment yesterday from the other "Sue".....

Sue said... Did an 'Occupy' protester fire an AK-47 at the White House? It sounds too ridiculous and far-fetched to be true - but it is. Shots were fired at the White House on Friday and authorities just discovered that a bullet had hit a window at the White House. The shots appear to be from a high powered rifle and the window struck was that of the Obama's living quarters. The Obamas were not home at the time of the incident. How in the world did something like this happen with relative disinterest from the media?   November 16, 2011 6:57 PM

Fox & Friends Graphic Claims Shooter "Tied To Occupy" Movement. During the November 17 edition of Fox News' Fox & Friends, co-host Gretchen Carlson asked Fox News contributor Michelle Malkin: "It looks like this White House shooting suspect may have tried to blend in with the Occupy protesters in D.C. when he came from out West. So I pose this question to you this morning: What would have happened if a tea party person had tried to do that?" Malkin responded that "there is now conflicting testimony or evidence of whether he was in the Occupy D.C. camp, but apparently, reportedly, allegedly there is somebody within that movement who has confirmed that he was there at the camps." Malkin later noted that "the guy was just completely off his rocker and had nothing to do with any coherent sense of political ideology." But during the segment, onscreen text continued to tie Ortega-Hernandez to the Occupy D.C. movement:

[Fox News, Fox & Friends, 11/17/11]

In Fact, Investigators Have Reportedly Found "No Connection" Between Ortega-Hernandez And Occupy D.C.

Washington Post: Investigators "Have Found No Connection Between [Ortega-Hernandez] And The Occupy Protesters." From a November 16 Washington Post article:
In trying to determine why he recently traveled to the nation's capital from the western part of the country, investigators searched the Occupy D.C. campground near the White House but have found no connection between him and the Occupy protesters, according to three law enforcement officials familiar with the case.
One of the officials, speaking on the condition of anonymity because the investigation is continuing, said the motive for the gunfire might have been simple anger: Ortega-Hernandez "hates the president, he hates Washington, he hates society," the official said. [The Washington Post, 11/16/11]

According to reports tonight this young person was a hater of the government and of the president. He  believed 11/11/2011 was the day the world was ending and he believes Barack Obama is the anti-Christ.. ..Now I don't know about you Sue, but to me that sounds like a WINGNUT/Teapublican!!!  Does it to you??  The crazies DO COME FROM THE RIGHT!  Sorry it's the truth...

Michelle Malkin? If she had a brain, she's be dangerous. Seriously, I don't understand how she manages to sit up without help, let alone speak and feed herself.

FAUX NOOZ is incapable of reporting the truth, so they make shit up throw it at the wall and hope it sticks. They are the worst of the worst sort of propagandist pigs--not only spreading falsehoods and making egregious errors in reporting, but keeping this country in constant turmoil as a result of their despicable lies.

Mary said...

I have only one thing to add to Shaw's acutely accurate description of FAUX NOOZ, fear! Be afraid America...spews Fox News...be afraid, and you can be easily controlled...be afraid!

Lisa said...

Oh yes be afraid of FOX News while the OWS crowd revs up their rhetoric with their manufactured anger. As Van Jones says "You ain't seen nothing yet"

Aww...poor Lisa is a loyal FNC watcher...aren't you? Fear OWS? Yes, yes, that is the FNC meme...be afraid Lisa! Boo....

Oh, and I seem to have to clarify this for you, Lisa...I did not say we had to fear FNC, I said they spread fear to their viewers so that they are easily controlled. I see you proved my point with your comment very nicely, thank you.

Mary said...

Lol, who told you they were flea baggers... Oh, yeah, FNC! Keep going Lisa, with every post you are proving my point. Thank you

Don't worry Mary Australia will be well guarded with 2500 of our troops. So whatever fears they had should ease up.
Now I hope your home country will hug Obama for protecting their sorry asses.
Obama does it-good

I made up that name a long time ago

Lisa said...

And Anderson Cooper you spokesperson for Tea bagging made up that name you all use so freely. I was watching him the first time he said it even though Sue swears without proof the Tea Party called themselves that.

Mary said...

Lol...my home country? I know Wisconsin is Foriegn to many people, but last time I checked it was still in the Good Ole US of A. And again Lisa shows how much watching FNC is dumbing down America!

Sorry folks, I poked the troll, but the crazier Lisa gets, ie Anderson Cooper & Australia, the more the point is being made. Fox news lies and teaches their watchers to fear and spew crazy stuff!

Fox News viewers are the most misinformed of any cable news viewers.

Now what's interesting, is that PolitiFact disputed that statement when Jon Stewart repeated the claim on his show a while back.

But here's what's even funnier: I've read on Lisa's blog comment section that she and her malcontented pals don't believe or trust PolitiFact for, well, reporting the truth. They believe PolitiFact has a liberal bias, so it's not reliable for accuracy.

Following that logic, Jon Stewart's assessment that FOX News is rife with misinformation is unimpeachable in Lisa's and malcontented conservatives' opinion!

Unless, of course, they pick and choose what they want to believe, which is hypocritical and dishonest. And they're not any of those things, are they?

Nooooooooooooo!

Lisa,

I don't think the tea party idiots called themselves "teabaggers." Obviously "teabagging" refers to the rather humorous practice of a male hanging his scrotum on top of the head of one of his buddies. (Have not tried this, being of an age.) There are, however, photographs of them with little teabags hanging from their hat brims. (Anachronistic since Lipton's was not importing tea to the colonies, nor had paper filter bags been invented at the time of the Boston Tea Party.)

As a dyed in the wool democrat and hippie patriot, it does incense me that these dumbfucks would try to co-opt such an important part of our common history. It does not surpise me since Bill O'Reilly has already attempted to pervert the memory of Lincoln. Yet I am sure most of us are indeed, "Taxed Enough Already!" Buying into the myth that Pelosi and Obama taxed the shit out of the American populace is truly the height of stupidity. But it is fun to have you back! Peace, Love Baby!

Shaw Kenawe said...

Lisa posted a link that reports on OWS harassing little school children on their way to school.

I'm highly suspicious of who the people are who provoked that stupid act. Why would OWS endanger their movement and cast more doubt on themselves by picking on little kids? This sound like the work of that weasel Breitbart, or people like him to undermine OWS and get people to withdraw support.

Until we know all the facts, I won't believe it.

Meanwhile, we have this as proof of what TPers did, and it is exactly the same sort of thing that the OWS is being accused of doing.

Isn't that strange????

Shaw Kenawe said...

Just remembered the weasel's name who worked for Breitbart and made that phoney ACORN pimp tape: James O'Keefe. I wouldn't be surprised if he organized a group of goons to do this latest stunt.

Flying Junior said...

Actually, FOX News has pioneered an even more insidious and more dangerous propaganda tool. THEY ACTUALLY HAVE STARTED DOING COMPLIMENTARY REPORTS ON HILLARY CLINTON!!!

It may be that they have actually reported other news factually or without bias. JUST TO ENHANCE THEIR CREDIBILITY SO THAT THEY CAN SUCKER IN MORE LAMBS!!!

There may be other even more reprehensible instances of this wickedly ingenious cutting edge propaganda technique.

I'm not the go-to-guy. Watching FOX News is like taking a shit or having diarrhea. Like vomiting or getting sick. You never do it on purpose!

2500 along with the 59,000 odd Australian defence personnel who are their allies, Lisa….

The US wants better access to the Indian Ocean and thus the Persian Gulf, and our military works well with your military. Most of all it’s part of the American strategic hedge against China.
That’s why the marines are coming to Darwin. Not to protect Australia, but for American interests which happen to coincide with ours.

That’s what ‘allies’ means, little girl.

WW1, WW2, Korea, Vietnam, Gulf Wars 1 and 2, Afghanistan. You’re welcome.

Sue said...

Magpie, thank you for clearing up the reason for our dear POTUS sending troops to your home land. Only haters and FOX listeners would put a sinister spin on the move! Can we all agree, Obama has been a foreign policy genius?

If Fox would commit suicide, or just fall off the face of the Earth, maybe we could get back to a more intelligent, saner nation.

And I'd also like to say to those who complain about MSNBC putting on Rightwing commentators, or have shows like Morning Joe that is bi partisan in its hosts and guests, Do you want MSNBC to get a Fox reputation of only showing one side? This is why I watch MSNBC, because they are fair and balanced, they report the news, they don't slant it left. Yes of course we have our partisans like Rachel, Ed, Lawrence, but these are not "NEWS" specific, more current event/talk show format. I think MSNBC does a great job.

Sue said...

Mary I have to delete Tom, sorry! But you ARE RIGHT...

manufactured anger coming from the OWS???? wow...

What do we expect from the little wingnuts...They see GOP Congressmen calling the OWS lazy, hippie, sexual deviants, public masturbaters, druggies, alcoholics,

THEY are petrified of this movement, they will soon lose all control, they have nothing to say but to denigrate the movement. They sniff the aroma of the 60's wafting through their air space...

Sue said...

FJ, did you spell diarrhea correct the first time? I have a terrible time with that word, and always need spell check!

Shaw I agree 100% with you on the kids being harassed. It's either completely fabricated by the right or the harassers were not REAL OWS protesters but just strays who are there just to shine a bad light on the movement. I didn't look at the link, was it a FOX report from Fox and Friends, and did they sit there HORRIFIED??? ewwwwwww

Hey LISA. Read this - if you have the ability:

"... because of a bad bit of reporting — bad but understandable — ABC initially said that police suspected Ortega-Hernandez had spent time at the Occupy DC encampment, before heading out to shoot the White House. Police may have suspected that, but there’s been no evidence whatsoever that it’s the case. (He seems to have more of a connection to Oprah than Occupy, but no one is calling him the “Oprah shooter.”)

The truth has not dissuaded Fox News from repeatedly referencing Ortega-Hernandez’s completely imaginary time spent at the Occupy camp. The NRA’s radio show did the same.

But the fact that it is now known that there has never been any evidence linking Ortega-Hernandez to any Occupy event anywhere has not stopped conservatives from … crying about liberal media bias against conservatives. John Nolte at Big Journalism says: “the MSM is working overtime to make sure no narrative is created from the suspected White House shooter’s connection to #OccupyDC.”

Right, because … there’s no connection. Except that some guy at Occupy San Diego said something stupid and regrettable about feeling sympathy for the crazy guy who shot at the White House. Which is, as “connections” go, a stretch!

So here we have a wholly invented right-wing meme based on fantasy and one out-of-context line from a now out-of-date news story, repeated endlessly in an attempt to unfairly smear a political movement they despise, and the fact that responsible media outlets aren’t repeating the smear is an example of the nefarious leftist media conspiracy. Sorry the New York Times isn’t repeating this particular lie, guys!"

Shame on her for poisoning this comment board.

Wow look at you guys. Do you get paid by the Obama Administration to defend it?

Lisa said...

Hey I never believed nor have I said Ortega was connected to the Obama Wall Street Protests, just like I never believed Sarah Palin was responsible for the Tuscon Shooting like you guys did and may I add 10 minutes after it happened the left wing media was blaming her.
Come on Shaw time to cut and paste to refute it.

Shaw Kenawe said...

Lisa, we're not defending the Obama administration. What we're doing is called getting the facts out.

You and mal have the same sort of problem with that. Whenever anyone pointed out to him that a Republican or Bush did the same thing that mal was raging at Obama for, mal called it "Blaming Bush."

When we present facts to refute what you post here, you call it defending the Obama administration.

Your Sarah Palin victimization example doesn't work either, Lisa.

The White House shooter had absolutely NOTHING to do with the OWS. Nothing. The police verify this.

Sarah Palin, OTOH, put a rifle cross hairs on Gabby Gifford. And Palin used gun images and rhetoric during the 2010 election cycle.

No one believe Palin is responsible for Gifford's tragedy, but Palin most certainly stuck her gun images on a map of Gifford's district, then played the part of the victim when Gifford was shot.

It was the single, most stupid mistake she made in her political career.

And she's made an awful lot of them.

Less informed than people who don't even watch the news? LOL.

Hey Leslie: You know what's really funny about that Soros-funded poll about who is most uninformed?

MSNBC viewers scored even lower!

The Atlantic (hardly a righwing rag) also provides come context.

It's funny how this tailor-made poll came out after Jon Stewart's assertions were proven wrong.

Can't let the facts get in the way! So simply design a poll to get the results you want. Lies, damn lies, and statistics.

Maryb1161's admonishment to "be afraid" perfectly sums up the head in the sand doctrinaire left.

Sue said...

that's a huge stretch SF. according to the article MSNBC viewers Did Not Score Lower. What's interesting about Fox viewers being uninformed is the fact most watch ONLY Fox for ALL their news. MSNBC viewers have many other outlets they depend on for currents events and NPR listeners scored high. I don't think many Fox viewers read either...js

Leslie Parsley said...

SF's paranoia and conspiracy theories only serve to support another well documented theory - that people on the right are paranoid and believe in ghosts.

Shaw Kenawe said...

FAUX NOOZ viewers are the most uninformed of any cable news viewers.

People who DON'T watch FAUX NOOZ are more informed than those who do.

That's a hard fact for the right to swallow because it is in dissonance with what they've believed for years.

But let's look at what the folks like SF have been proud to call conservatives and who they support:

Sarah Palin. Remember her? 3 years ago the GOP was having a love affair with this empty-headed charlatan--how many GOPers did I read telling us she was smarter than Obama and that the left was "afraid" of her? Where is she now? Even Roger Ailes is pissed at her. And you have to be a real no-hope loser for him to be pissed at you.

We on the left saw her as a grifter and ignorant poseur. The right was blind to her. What does that say about their values and ability to sniff out phonies and liars?

The right supports fake news stations like FOX and fake politicians like Palin.

And who are/were the leading contenders for the GOP nomination?

Herman Cain? Seriously. He's another iteration of Palin. A know-nothing narcissist who dazzles his low-information supporters with bizarrely produced videos and Colgate smiles. Even his pizzas are awful.

Rick Perry? Another light weight whose campaign has to continually make excuses for his miserable performances in answering questions in debates or in knowing what he's talking about.

Michele Bachmann? This woman makes Palin look like Einstein. That she's even in the race is a terrible indictment on the low-level of intelligence that is rampant in the base of the GOP and that controls the entire party. Michele "I Never Make Gaffe" Bachmann--all of her crazy talk is documented and on video, but she maintains she never makes a mistake. Delusional and stupid.

Newt Gingrich? The "I Wed Three Wives" candidate who went after a philandering president while he was philandering, who went after US representatives for their connection to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, while taking almost $2million to lobby for them? And then trying to weasel out of that blatant double standard. This guy is admired by the GOP.

Mitt Romeny? Don't like his position on an issue? He's like weather in New England, if you don't like it, wait a minute--it'll change. This guy has flip-flopped on every major issue that the GOP holds near and dear. He should be in a circus, not in a presidential campaign.

Those are the people the GOP want to see lead this country. And the people who support their candidacies are the same people who support the cable news station that cranks out misinformation, disinformation, propaganda, and lies.

Is there a connection here?

Why is it a Left-wing thing to do to simply ask for truth and decency.
