Yesterday was Sahara's birthday, (it pains me to say that because I gave birth to my daughter on Feb. 11th too!) so her PAC sent out letters seeking donations so they could give the half term Gov. a special gift!
According to the Associated Press, the call for cash came in a fundraising e-mail on Wednesday.
In a solicitation letter Wednesday, SarahPAC Treasurer Tim Crawford says nothing is more important to Palin than making sure her PAC has the funds needed to elect "more common-sense conservatives in 2011."

He says that Palin, like Ronald Reagan before her, is despised by the left for admitting her faith in God, being "unabashedly proud" of America and fighting federal overreach.
No, sorry Tim, you have that all wrong. We liberals don't despise Palin because she is a God-fearing "Christian", or because she pretends to love America... we think she is simply in over her head and does not HAVE THE SKILLS OR BRAINS to be POTUS!!

Why is THAT a reason to hate the woman? You won't admit to hatred of Sarah Palin, but it is as clear as can be...liberals hate her with an irrational fervor. What has she ever done to deserve such animosity from the left? Was it because she chose to give birth to her Downs Syndrome son instead of killing him before birth...or is it because she chose to give up her governorship? LOTS of people quit jobs every day. She made a personal decision and even if I disagreed with her, I will not condemn her for leaving the position...politicians have left elected office early before without the daggers of hate aimed at them that Ms. Palin has faced.

As to why liberals don't want Sahara as president? I want someone who is literate, well-spoken ad a statesman. I want someone who will not embarrass us by not being able to name a single thing they read on a regular basis. Ignorance may be bliss, but being led by an ignoramus is not. Finally, after all these years, we have a statesman in office. I don't hate her, but she's not intelligent enough to gain my vote for city council, let alone for POTUS.

I don't hate anybody (well, Nancy Grace, maybe). But do I have to admit it - Palin irritates me significantly. Basically everything out of her mouth lately is either divisive, doltish, self-serving, or some sort of combination. I just wish that, for her own sake, she would cease.......You want an interesting conservative woman - break out some old tapes of Jeanne Kirkpatrick.

Name one time where she participated in a venue like Meet the Press where serious people asked her serious questions about foreign and domestic policies and when she ever proposed serious solutions to the problems facing the US.

She and Lisa go on about government intrusion in our lives, but see nothing wrong with the government forcing women to complete a pregnancy that may have been forced (by rape) on her, or that endangers her life, or that she cannot deal with because of her own private--not government's--reasons.
There is no difference between a government that forces women to complete all pregnancies or a government [China] that requires an abortion after one child. It is government intrusion on the most personal decision one makes in life, and it is government control over women's bodies.
Then there's the wacko Republican state representative [I've forgotten which one] who proposed that the state government require all citizens to carry guns. How's that for intrusion?
The government is perfectly within its rights to ensure the health of a society, especially when that society has shown it has no idea that its sorry eating habits and its inability to resist corporate junk food is ruining the well-being of a majority of its citizens.
The government stepped in and stopped advertising of cigarettes on teevee for the same purpose--it was killing its citizens--the ones who were either too young or too weak to understand the dangers of smoking.
Eating crap corporate junky processed food and drinking sugar soaked colas has given us an obese population and very sick children.
All without any government interference.
Bless Mrs. Obama for trying in some small way to get parents to wake up and save their children from a lifetime of pain and suffering.
