Just WHO does HE think He is??? Really!

Never has there been a more arrogant and sleazy candidate running for President of the USA, in my honest opinion....Newt Gingrich..... scary as shit, slimy as a slug, slippery as a snake...

This all looks sleazy to me, and not because I'm jealous of a wingnuts fortune. THIS, PLUS 11 more reasons Newt Gingrich CAN NOT be President of these Great United States, as written by Kelly Vote Obama-Johnson, a Facebook friend and fellow Liberal who supports President Barack Obama 100%!!

 1. Multiple Marriages-  One of the biggest issues with Newt Gingrich is that he has married three times. In the past, this may not have mattered but right wing voters, especially the religious ones, may have a problem with this. This will hurt Newt Gingrich and if the religious right backs him it will be a huge show of hypocrisy. But if you think Newt’s multiple marriages is a reason not to vote for him,    you should read why he’s been married multiple times in the first place.

  • 2. Infidelity- Newt Gingrich is trying to paint himself as a family values candidate, but that’s just not going to fly. He’s been married three times and he cheated on the first two. While his first wife was being treated for cancer, Newt served her the divorce papers while she was in the hospital recovering from surgery. Apparently he left her because “She isn’t young enough or pretty enough to be the President’s wife.” Then he carried on an affair even while attempting to impeach President Bill Clinton for his own affair. If that’s not hypocrisy, I don’t know what it. He then left wife number two for the younger woman he was having the affair with.

  •  ‎3. Deadbeat Dad- Newt has at least one thing in common with Joe Walsh. They’re both deadbeat dads. It took a court of law to force Gingrich to pay utility bills to keep the electricity running for his kids. That should kill his chances with anyone who values family and children.

  • 4. Health Care Mandate Hypocrisy- Did you know Newt Gingrich supported a health care mandate similar to the one signed into law by President Obama? Well, you know now. Newt has always been a fan of health care mandates, so it was perplexing to hear him condemn the mandate when Democrats passed one.

  • 5. Government Shutdown-  Newt Gingrich is also a big fan of government shutdowns. When Republicans captured the House in the 1990s, Newt and the GOP decided to put the country at risk and actually shut the government down in an attempt to hurt Bill Clinton. So, let’s say Newt becomes President and Democrats control Congress. What stops Gingrich from shutting government down by refusing to sign critical budgets? The answer: nothing. And with the current economic state, Newt is a gamble we can’t afford.

  •  ‎6. Freddie Mac Payouts- For three years, Gingrich has blamed Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae for the economic meltdown in 2008. He has also called for putting Chris Dodd and Barney Frank in prison for being affiliated with them. Well, it turns out Newt was a highly paid strategic advisor for Freddie Mac during the years of the housing bubble. Gingrich reportedly made $1.6 million during that time.

  • 7. Confederate Sympathizer and Racist- Gingrich has a fascination with the Confederacy and has fantasized about the South winning the Civil War. He even wrote a book in which the South wins Gettysburg. He’s also a racist. Throughout President Obama’s first term, Gingrich has used code to disguise racist remarks. He has continually referred to President Obama as a Kenyan, and the “food stamp President.” It’s not very Presidential at all.

  •  ‎8. Draft Dodger- Gingrich supports further war in the Middle East, especially with Iran, and has criticized how President Obama has waged the war against terrorism, despite the fact that under the Obama administration, several high level terrorists including Osama Bin Laden have been killed. But, you should definitely think twice about voting for Newt because he has never served a day in the military. During Vietnam, Gingrich avoided the draft by getting a graduate school deferment even though he supported the war. That’s right, apparently the chicken hawk considered himself too smart to die for his country.

  •  9. Fiscal Irresponsibility- It’s funny how Newt considers himself a fiscally responsible conservative, especially when he has a personal spending problem. During his tenure in the House, Gingrich was involved in a banking scandal while in office in which he bounced 22 checks including a $9,000 check to the IRS. And let’s not forget that Tiffany’s bill.

  • 10. ‘Contract On America’- Gingrich was the main architect of the Contract With America, which Bill Clinton dubbed the ‘Contract On America.’ The contract includes many of the current schemes Republicans support now including a balanced budget amendment which would basically force America to live under conservative rule, lower taxes on corporations, perhaps as low as an anemic 12%, and the slow death of Medicare and Social Security. Gingrich would bring all of that with him to the White House and would likely throw the full weight of the Oval Office behind each measure along with abortion bans, laws against homosexuality, increased oil drilling, and increasing the outsourcing of jobs.

‎11. Big Ego And Arrogance-  Most Americans want a humble man to be their President. Newt Gingrich doesn’t have a humble bone in his body. Throughout his career, he has had a giant ego and a whole lot of arrogance. Gingrich once whined about not being allowed to exit Air Force One from the same door as President Clinton. Gingrich had to exit from the rear of the plane, which is where everyone but the President, his family, and foreign leaders exit from. Gingrich, in his arrogance, believed himself privileged enough to warrant the Presidential exit. Gingrich is also egotistical when describing himself.

  • “I have enormous personal ambition. I want to shift the entire planet. And I’m doing it. I am now a famous person. I represent real power.”~Newt Gingrich

“Gingrich – Primary mission, Advocate of civilization, Definer of civilization, Teacher of the rules of civilization, Leader of the civilizing forces.”~Newt Gingrich on Newt Gingrich.

Newt Gingrich has A LOT of baggage that every American should be aware of. Even ‘family values’ and ‘fiscal’ conservatives should take note because of Gingrich’s propensity for chasing younger women and his personal failure to get his own financial house in order. There are plenty of reasons why Gingrich is unfit to lead and now you know at least eleven of them.

Obama-Biden 2012

this is scary, just saw this at The Daily Beast......
Like many evangelicals in Iowa, Steve Deace, an influential conservative radio host, is wrestling with the possibility that Newt Gingrich may be the most viable standard bearer for family-values voters in the next election. It’s a conundrum, he says, that many others are also grappling with. "Maybe the guy in the race that would make the best president is on his third marriage," he says. "How do we reconcile that?"
One senses him trying. "I see a lot of parallels between King David and Newt Gingrich, two extraordinary men gifted by God, whose lives include very high highs and very low lows," Deace says. David, after all, committed adultery with the ravishing Bathsheba, then had her husband killed, among other transgressions. The Bible makes room for complicated, morally compromised heroes. Now Christian conservatives, desperate for an alternative to Mitt Romney, are learning to do so as well.
"Under normal circumstances, Gingrich would have some real problems with the social-conservative community," says Tony Perkins, head of the Family Research Council. "But these aren’t normal circumstances."

Lolita Paz...I just think about those great Christian presidents of the past..
Nixon, tho born a Quaker like to "hit 'em right fucking square in the mouth" or "blow their fucking asses away..." But damn! he did love his Jesus and all the church daddies and church ladies worshiped at his neo-pagan shrine.

Reagan was a winner for the lord. He just forgot when he sinned so he never had to ask for forgiveness. He was boinking Nancy while he was still married and she was boinking Sinatra is the Blue Room. Never went to church but never missed cocktail hour..

How could we forget the saved and sanctified W who prayed with Billy Graham once (tho Billy doesn't remember it). Once was quoted as saying about his pastor's sermons, "I don't remember much, but I know they did me good." Killed maimed and wounded thousands of Americans and did the same to hundreds of thousands of innocents in Iraq in the blessed name of our lord, Jesus Christ. Amen and Amen!

Wonderful men. And now we have serial sex offender Newt running for Great Leader who was leading the crusade, in the name of jesus the christ, against poor Slick Willie who just wanted to have some fun.
I just can't stop praising the Lord for these dedicated Christian male models...
May God continue to bless America! God, we are good!
 Amen again.

DESPERATION!!! They hate the Black Democrat so much they will actually vote for NEWT??? Holyfuckinshit

I would never, ever, ever, ever say anything negative about you Sue! Haha, you crack me up! My post was about a bunch of other bloggers who can't seem to look past their noses. But you my friend are certainly not one of them.

I hope all is going okay for you Sue and I hope you have a fun and safe Holiday season.:)

The fact that Newt is the current frontrunner shows you just how far down the republicans have fallen.

LOL!!!

Giving credit where credit is due, Gingrich isn't anything like as dumb as Perry, Bachmann, or Cain. But he does carry hypocrisy to a level beyond most Republicans. Items #2, #3, #6, and #9 all being true of one individual is pretty breathtaking.

I think it will hurt his chances. For one thing, I hear women fundamentalists aren't as forgiving of adultery by Bible-thumping big shots as the men are.

Gingrich will take longer to go through the rise-and-fall cycle with rank-and-file Republicans than Bachmann, Perry, and Cain did, because the fall will involve people discovering things about his past rather than him making obvious gaffes. But it will happen. The other Republican candidates will see to that. They've proven quite willing to destroy each other so far.

Sue said...

Thanks Justin, You're a sweetie!

Jerry he give me the willies! Seriously the guy is slimy and oozes arrogance. Do we feel sorry for the Republican who have nobody to beat Obama? NOOOOOOOOO!!!! LOL

In the smarts category Newt does rank above the others you mentioned Infidel, very true. So this looks to be the other Romney the Right can support. Obama and I hope The Fig is the nominee. The Obamas portray the perfect family. The beautiful, faithful, loving parents, the beautiful daughters, what the Republicans wish they could find in one of their candidates!

Leslie Parsley said...

Maybe the only reason Newt seems so intelligent to the conservatives, especially those in the TP, is because he uses a lot of words with three or more syllables. Anything beyond two is too much to comprehend for most Tea Partiers. Just more hypocrisy - Newt is "intelligent" while Obama is uppity.

Beyond that piece of snark, ditto to Infidel's comment.

Flying Junior said...

Gingrich may be a vile, selfish, cold-hearted slave to his dick...

But at least as far as the conservative men are concerned:

It's okay if you are a republican!!!

Lisa said...

At least Newt got married and didn't stain the Oval Office.
He GOT paid foo advising Fannie and Freddie. The only thing that went wrong is they didn't take his advice.
I am laughing so hard about your disgust with his getting paid by them yet you are not about Barney Frank and all his dealings with them. I guess it's only OK to make millions, and may I add 90 million, from Fannie and Freddie if you have a D after your name.
Now maybe you should petition Washington to get our money back from Solyndra.
Maybe you should bring a gun to that fight if they have bring a knife.Speaking of being non-presidential.

All the media has to do is dust off the intell the house members used to oust Newt in 1998.

I mean what did the GOPers have one the man so he would RESIGN three freakin' days after winning re-election?

Gingrich resigned from the House on November 5, 1998, three days after being elected to the 11th term.

Must have been quite bad since the GOPers controlled the US Congress at the time, and could have squashed any congressional action, but probably not legal action outside of congress.

Good question #37927. It'll be interesting to see if Wonder Woman Lisa can answer it.

"...you should put so much effort into investigating Obama's past. Good Luck with that.

This is how blind to reality people like Lisa are. She actually believes that the GOP and, more important, the powerful Clinton machine, were too inept to uncover any nefarious information that would shock the world and the American and disqualify Barack Hussein Obama from being president.

Lisa actually believes that over the last 5 years, since Mr. Obama has been in the spotlight as a major political player, no one on the rabid right has tried to find some damaging information that would ruin him and his reputation.

Anytime we here point out any embarrassing information that should disqualify one of the GOP's leading candidates, she comes whining here saying "Brrrrack! Brrrrraaack! BrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaK!

We won't uncover any of his scandals and criminality!

Lisa, dear. If there were something there, you apparently believe the GOP and their dirty trickesters are too inept to uncover it?

The reason shining the light on any of your suspicions has produced nothing is because there's nothing there.

Hard for you, who believes Mr. Obama is Satan incarnate, but the sad fact for you is that Mr. Obama, for a politician, is pretty clean and also a decent family man.

Reality is a bitch, especially when the facts back it up.

The American people looked at his background, Lisa, in 2008, and decided they liked Obama better than McCain and Palin.

You don't accept it, so you think there's something sinister and dishonest in the president's life that no one has yet uncovered.

As we've said over and over again, the fringe righties, like Lisa, create their own reality and believe it.

Jerry Critter said...

Reality is what you believe it is...and a belief requires no proof. It just requires blind devotion.

The reality of the right and the reality of the left are both true...to the believers.

The facts be damned!

How's that for a brilliant endorsement!

Newt: He's as much of a whoremaster as the other guy, but at least he did the dirty in his own paid-for hotel room!

I swear Lisa is one of us, but someone is paying her to make the other side look as foolish as is humanly possible.

Grow up Lisa, nobody cares about your hate...

Two years after graduating, Obama was hired in Chicago as director of the Developing Communities Project (DCP), a church-based community organization originally comprising eight Catholic parishes in Greater Roseland (Roseland, West Pullman and Riverdale) on Chicago's far South Side. He worked there as a community organizer from June 1985 to May 1988.[29][30] During his three years as the DCP's director, its staff grew from one to thirteen. He helped set up a job training program, a college preparatory tutoring program, and a tenants' rights organization in Altgeld Gardens.[31] Obama also worked as a consultant and instructor for the Gamaliel Foundation, a community organizing institute.[32] In mid-1988, he traveled for the first time in Europe for three weeks and then for five weeks in Kenya, where he met many of his paternal relatives for the first time.[33] He returned in August 2006 for a visit to his father's birthplace, a village near Kisumu in rural western Kenya.[34]

In late 1988, Obama entered Harvard Law School. He was selected as an editor of the Harvard Law Review at the end of his first year,[35] and president of the journal in his second year.[31][36] During his summers, he returned to Chicago, where he worked as an associate at the law firms of Sidley Austin in 1989 and Hopkins & Sutter in 1990.[37] After graduating with a J.D. magna cum laude[38] from Harvard in 1991, he returned to Chicago.[35] Obama's election as the first black president of the Harvard Law Review gained national media attention[31][36] and led to a publishing contract and advance for a book about race relations,[39] which evolved into a personal memoir. The manuscript was published in mid-1995 as Dreams from My Father.[39]
University of Chicago Law School and civil rights attorney

In 1991, Obama accepted a two-year position as Visiting Law and Government Fellow at the University of Chicago Law School to work on his first book.[39][40] He then served as a professor at the University of Chicago Law School for twelve years—as a Lecturer from 1992 to 1996, and as a Senior Lecturer from 1996 to 2004—teaching constitutional law.[41]

From April to October 1992, Obama directed Illinois's Project Vote, a voter registration drive with ten staffers and seven hundred volunteer registrars; it achieved its goal of registering 150,000 of 400,000 unregistered African Americans in the state, and led to Crain's Chicago Business naming Obama to its 1993 list of "40 under Forty" powers to be.[42] In 1993 he joined Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Galland, a 13-attorney law firm specializing in civil rights litigation and neighborhood economic development, where he was an associate for three years from 1993 to 1996, then of counsel from 1996 to 2004, with his law license becoming inactive in 2002.[43]

From 1994 to 2002, Obama served on the boards of directors of the Woods Fund of Chicago, which in 1985 had been the first foundation to fund the Developing Communities Project; and of the Joyce Foundation.[29] He served on the board of directors of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge from 1995 to 2002, as founding president and chairman of the board of directors from 1995 to 1999.[2

Obama applied for a position as an adjunct and wasn't even considered. A few weeks later the law school got a phone call from the Board of Trustees telling them to find him an office, put him on the payroll, and give him a class to teach. The Board told him he didn't have to be a member of the faculty, but they needed to give him a temporary position. He was never a professor and was hardly an adjunct.

The other professors hated him because he was lazy, unqualified, never attended any of the faculty meetings, and it was clear that the position was nothing more than a political stepping stool.

According to one professor ,he had the lowest intellectual capacity in the building. He also doubted whether he was legitimately an editor on the Harvard Law Review, because if he was, he would be the first and only editor of an Ivy League law review to never be published while in school (publication is or was a requirement).

Obama’s fib that he was a law school professor reminds me of all the people who seem to think that just because they earned their M.A. that they have achieved the equivalent of a Ph.D. To those of us who have gone on and earned our Ph.D.’s, however, the completion of an M.A. seems to be a minor accomplishment compared to the intellectual challenge of conducting original research and grappling, on a day-to-day basis, with the exhilarating (sometimes heart-breaking) process of creating new knowledge.

He was never even close to being a professor. Professors publish articles, compete for tenure, conduct research, win grants, and speak at national and international conferences. They attend faculty meetings where their expertise and skills are challenged in lively debate. In this world, the time professors spend teaching classes, creating exams and grading papers – the majority of Obama’s work as a Senior Lecturer – has only limited significance and prestige.

Obama’s insistence that he was a law school professor shows that he sought the status of being a law school professor…yet never proved he had what it took to compete among the academic elite.

Lisa, could you provide the sources for your information?

That way we can objectively look at them and come to our own conclusions.

As for Harvard Law Review, believe what you wish... my brother in law, also an African American, was in law school with Obama.

He had hoped to become the first black Editor of the review. Alas, future President Obama beat him to it.

From the perspective of my brother, it was totally legit. He has never once, then or now, suggested anything to the contrary.

On the other stuff, we'll wait for your sources and links...

Lisa, my request was not predicated on anyone else, just you.

Are you unable to produce the links?

One would think you would be chomping at the bit to put some real facts behind a series of charges like the ones you shared.

This is typical, when asked to provide proof the right retreats. When confronted by facts, the right say they have their own facts.

Just like when you stated you use a mix of true and false facts.

Is this one of those false facts?

Lisa... ask Dave to open the pod bay doors... I think you have been floating in the stratosphere too long.

hahaha. Reminds me of when I said to Dave once "Dave stop, will you? Will you stop Dave"

Dave Miller said...

Well Lisa, since you were unable to provide a credible source I thought I would look it up myself.

Of course I found numerous articles about President Obama's work on the law review.

I also found, when I entered your well thought out post, that it had been essentially been copied from one original source, that has been copied and pasted numerous times on blogs everywhere.

Just like you did here.

You see Lisa, it is people like you, who cannot present a well backed up argument for or against anything, who instead copy others original works and pass it off as their own that are responsible for where our country is at.

When pressed to offer up your sources, you, like most of the other Malcontented right wing bloggers retreat to some snarky "they did it too" defense, or "I will do so after someone else does it."

But the facts are on clear display here.

You copied your information most likely from Doug Ross, or some other site that also copied from him, and passed it off as factual and you have no way to back up your charges.

It is as you said once before, a mix of true and false facts.

Lisa's reply after being asked to provide a link to her comment that trashed President Obama's educational and working experience:

"I tried to Google it Dave but Google protects Obama as well as Factcheck and Snopes."

Lisa got the text she pasted here in the comments from any number of of the rightwing blogs and "news" providers listed in the Google search here.,

Every one of these sources is a rightwing, anti-Obama site.

But Lisa claims Google and FactCheck and Snopes are all in some sort of conspiracy to "protect" Mr. Obama?

We don't need much more than Lisa's statement as evidence of certain extreme righties' inability to understand fact from fiction.

If a blog like Jim Hoft's "Gateway Pundit" publishes undocumented tripe like this, then it must be true. Evidence and veracity be damned. The Obama haters say it is so, so it is so.

But just in case anyone is interested in facts, here are some that dispute the rot Lisa copied and pasted here.

Obama's law review article.

The University of Chicago's statement regarding Mr. Obama's employment.

Harvard Law School: Excerpted from the November 2008 Harvard Law Bulletin

Excerpt:

"Obama's performance inside and outside the classroom attracted more notice than his distinctive personal story. In the spring of his first year at law school, Obama stopped by the office of Professor Laurence Tribe ’66 inquiring about becoming a research assistant.

Tribe rarely hired first-year students but recalls being struck by Obama’s unusual combination of intelligence, curiosity and maturity. He was so impressed in fact, that he hired Obama on the spot—and wrote his name and phone number on his calendar that day—March 31, 1989—for posterity.

Obama helped research a complicated article Tribe wrote making connections between physics and constitutional law as well as a book about abortion. The following year, Obama enrolled in Tribe’s constitutional law course.

Tribe likes to say he had taught about 4,000 students before Obama and another 4,000 since, yet none has impressed him more."

But somehow, according to Lisa's copied and pasted comment, this exceptional law student magically turned into a lazy and unqualified law professor?

Lisa, I've provided facts with links to counter your piffle. But I am sure, since these facts refute the lies you deposited here, you will find some reason to disregard them.

Is Harvard Law School, one of the world's most prestigious institutions of higher learning, risking its reputation by lying about what an exceptional student Mr. Obama was? Or, perhaps it is YOU and your friends who cannot internalize this fact so, therefore, you determine the fact to be a lie.

It doesn't matter to me, nor, I think, to the other commenters here whether you believe in facts or not. I just wanted to illustrate how deranged and ignorant the extremes on the right are in their hatred of Mr. Obama, and how, even when facts are presented, these extremists--Lisa and other malcontented bloggers--persist in their fevered hatred.

They love their hatred of this president more than they love truth.

What Lisa copied and pasted here, according to Harvard Law School, and The University of Chicago are all disgusting and blatant lies.

Shaw Kenawe said...

Here's Andrew Sullivan's take on the Right's embrace of the disgraced former Speaker of the House and serial adulterer, Newt Gingrich and their idea that he will destroy Mr. Obama in a debate:

"It's not just that Obama is a smart person whereas Gingrich is simply a dumb person's idea of a smart person. It's that Obama has always excelled up against a volatile, angry opponent. He is a master of allowing them to self-destruct. He got that Houdini-like master of political survival, Bill Clinton, to blow up in the primaries. In a matter of days, he got McCain to destroy his bid with his frantic response to the Lehman collapse.

I mean: who's gonna seem like the angry guy in a Newt-Barack match? Who's gonna seem like the old, rather than mature, one? Even when Gingrich was Speaker, he couldn't muster any grace or authority or calm: things we like in a crisis and a president.

I can't believe the GOP is going to fall for this yet another time. But their loathing of Obama seems to trump all reason, prudence, or guile. Once again, the jujitsu Obama model of politics emerges as his strongest weapon. Given the economy, it may not be enough. But man, does Obama get lucky sometimes in his opponents."

Again, Lisa's [and people like her] hatred of Obama overrides any ability to actually see him as a formidable opponent, as they gladly eat up the lies their side spreads about incompetence and weakness.

That's their Achilles heel, and we're lucky that they'll continue to deceive themselves.

Shaw Kenawe said...

Shaw Kenawe said...

I have a copy as well. I would appreciate it if either you or Jerry posted it here, since I included links and evidence to dispute what Lisa wrote.

Thanks, guys.

Shaw Kenawe said...

Okay, Sue, I see it.

Now, the question is will Lisa have a rational discussion with me or anyone on the facts presented and verified by HLS and The University of Chicago?

Does Lisa have the courage to admit that HLS and The University of Chicago have given their truthful statements about what Mr. Obama accomplished while attending those schools, and that her comment, copied and pasted here, has absolutely no verification or evidence to back it up.

If she says nothing, we have to assume that what she posted about Mr. Obama's university experiences are lies and calumny. And that she willingly participated in spreading those falsehoods.

This is a direct challenge to Lisa.

Your reputation is now in question.
