Right Wing Extremism, It's Not Going Away..

I received this article from my cousin, I'm posting it in it's entirety. I came away with a massive stomach ache and head ache...you would think I'd be used to the extremists on the Right after 4 years of listening to their filthy trashing of our President and his family. But no, it still makes me sick, it still leaves me speechless and it still scares me to read what they are capable of. They really are evil mother fuckers and I hate them with every inch of my being...

Again With the Birthers, Neo-birthers and Right-wing Sleaze?

By Joe Conason
As the Obama years unfold, observers who lived through the Clinton era sometimes have the eerie feeling that they have been here before—particularly when directing their gaze toward the far right. The roiling paranoia and hatred that marred American politics when Bill and Hillary Clinton were in the White House has resurfaced in attacks on Barack and Michelle Obama, who like the Clintons have been maligned repeatedly as communist, subversive, satanic and, above all, illegitimate.

Speaking of illegitimate, the latest assault on the Obama family is a new movie purporting to show that the president's father was not Barack Hussein Obama Sr., but an African-American radical and poet named Frank Marshall Davis. There is no more substance to this claim than that the president was actually born in Kenya and educated in an Islamist madrassa.

Taken seriously, this "neo-birther" fable would tend to erode the original "birther" claims. But logic and proof have no impact on such speculations, whose aim is to profit from prejudice and extremism.

Consider the source—in this instance, an individual named Cliff Kincaid, who runs an old extreme-right outfit called Accuracy in Media and, appropriately, venerates the likes of Richard Nixon and Joe McCarthy.

The last big plot promoted by Kincaid was the "bipartisan" scheme to portray the "murder" of Clinton White House counsel Vince Foster as a suicide. Among the conspirators fingered by Kincaid in this alleged cover-up was Republican independent counsel Kenneth Starr, best known for his dogged, intemperate, $50 million effort to remove President Clinton from office.

Now Kincaid is insinuating that Davis was not merely a left-wing mentor who somehow transformed Barack Obama into a communist—an old theory that first surfaced in 2004—but Obama's actual father, too. To Kincaid, the influence of Davis, who died 25 years ago, explains why Obama has pursued policies such as universal health coverage (although Accuracy in Media has yet to investigate how the communists duped Romney into that Massachusetts health plan).

Kincaid recently appeared to promote a movie and book based on these claims on a Secure Freedom Radio show hosted by Fred Grandy, a former Republican congressman who played Gopher on "The Love Boat." (I couldn't make this up, and neither did People for the American Way in reporting this news on the website Right Wing Watch.)

In a revealing exchange, the sophisticated Grandy says: "I've heard this rumor before—that Frank Marshall Davis was more than just a surrogate father to Barack Obama; he may well have been this guy's real father, and Barack Hussein Obama Sr., to some degree, is merely a minor influence in this kid's life. How much credibility do you put into that?"

Kincaid replies: "I put a lot into it now that I've seen Joel Gilbert's film; it's called Dreams From My Real Father. It's an incredible film. He's going to show excerpts; he's going to talk about his research. He's expanded upon what we and (author) Paul Kengor have done, and I think it deserves a fair hearing. Now, whether or not he was a real father or not, the fact is Frank Marshall Davis has an influence over our president, and that's the critical issue, but if, indeed, if he was Obama's real father, and the comparison's photos are striking, then we've got even more of a mystery behind this guy in the Oval Office."

The key phrase? "Whether or not he was a real father or not." The malaprop-prone Kincaid doesn't really care whether his filmmaker or his author can cite an iota of proof to support these speculations. They want to smear the president as an illegitimate Marxist—and in unconscious mimicry of the most dedicated communists, they behave as if the end justifies the means.

Like The Clinton Chronicles video that portrayed the then-president and first lady as murderous drug-runners (distributed by such respectable figures as the late Jerry Falwell), the current crop of right-wing propaganda embraces whatever wild fantasy might provoke fear and rage. And as with what became known as "Clinton Derangement Syndrome," the insane accusations eventually infected mainstream discourse, with supposedly sane politicians and pundits endorsing or simply alluding to the maddest conspiracy theories.

Should Obama win a second term, don't be too surprised when they demand impeachment.

My friend the Teapublican...

I have a friend who just loves to whine and complain about Socialist Obama.  He is petrified President Obama is destroying America. (He watches way too much Glenn Beck). He says 51% of Americans pay no income taxes and that infuriates him too. He believes Romney will save us from doom and gloom and miraculously restore our economy placing all unemployed men and women into good paying jobs...yes my friend is a Teapublican and is working day and night to get more of his kind elected to Congress.

What he doesn't see is Congress has a 8 to 10% approval rating and alot of that is because of the do-nothing-never- ever- compromise teabaggers... He thinks America placed them thar teabaggers in Congress and we WANT MORE OF THEM!!

Ya know what Buddy, it is because of YOUR party the middle class is not thriving. It is because of YOUR party corporations out source once good paying American jobs so the corps can reap the benefits of employing slave labor, HUGE PROFITS...It's YOUR party that balks at raising the minimum wage, you stomp on the middle class and working poor so more and more can be given to the 1%!!

You say you care about the unfair subsidies given to big oil etc...you say you care about the unfair tax code, but you never show support to Democrats when they want to move forward and fix these problems! You are ALL frauds! You stick by the GOP who are the huge spenders, you stick by the GOP who have no plans except for the old failed trickle down economics! You say YOUR party does put forth plans to cut spending, but those cuts are ALWAYS cuts to hurt the middle class and working poor....NEVER do you propose cuts to our ballooning out of control Defense spending...frauds all of you..

Where have the good paying jobs gone?  You want to cut teachers, policemen, firefighters, you hate union workers, but these are the good paying jobs! The men who build roads and bridges so you can get to YOUR good paying job, these you hate and do not want to fund. How do you expect to collect income taxes from families living in poverty? You do NOTHING to lift them out of poverty. You cut funding for education, for job training....your party caused this recession, your party put those people in poverty, so now what are you gonna do about it besides whine and complain and work your ass off to get Romney elected?

My friend is one of the 1%, I am convinced of it...

Speaking of Tax Cuts.....

Top Tax Rates were 70%+ from 1936 to 1980, and 90%+ from 1944 to 1963.

Since 1981, the Reagan Top rate tax cuts from 70% to now 35% have cost us 300 billion per year, 9 trillion over 30 years, plus 7 trillion for interest on the Republican Debt.

The higher top tax rates also had deductions, but those deductions were for plants, wages and equipment. Those deductions created good paying jobs.

Why we must raise taxes on the rich – taxes for the middle class have soared as taxes on the rich have plummeted.

Growth in GDP vs Top Marginal Tax Rate vs Debt vs Government GDP
Historical Facts Debunking Republican LIES.

As you can see, the Higher top Marginal Tax Rates of the Past did not deter growth, they did not grow government, but they did keep the debt down.

The biggest reason we are 15 trillion in debt is due to the top rate tax cuts.

Learn from History.

Successful Economics is about balanced regulation, progressive tax rates, as well as government spending on social programs and infrastructure.

1980 - 2007 We Grew Apart

Growth of Family Income

If the average American family still got the same share of income they earned in 1980, they would have an astounding $13,000 more in their pockets a year. It’s worth pausing to consider what our economy would be like today if middle-class consumers had that additional income to spend.

Even my Grandmother always said "Republicans are only for the rich."

The Greatest Generation Taxed the Rich at 90%, paid down the World War II debt, funded world class infrastructure, and forged the Greatest Middle Class Economy in History!

We would do good to follow their example of Middle Class Unity!   ...Thanks Facebook...

Today the Senate Democrats voted to extend the tax cuts for ALL earning UP TO 250,000.00, but any income OVER 250,000.00  tax rates will rise to what they were under the prosperous Clinton years, as they should. Chuck Schumer says this is a huge victory for Democrats and I agree. This puts a spotlight onto the GOP as the party who will take us over the cliff BECAUSE of their insistence the WEALTHY NEEDS those Bush tax cuts to be permanent! Republicans are either gonna kill their party..OR they will surrender their idiotic stance of NO tax increases for any American. As President Obama said, he will VETO any bill that calls for a tax cut extension on the top 2%, we simply can not afford it....It's do or die time GOPers...

We don't need no effin' NEOCON!!!!

This feels great, after that hideous speech given by Mittens to Veterans the other day....

Give Mitt Romney the Commander in Chief position after just one term with our skillful, masterful, extremely competent in foreign policy President Obama??? I don't think so....

Mitt Romney, like ALL the boobs in the GOP, can go fuck a duck....

Neocons??? Really???

Chris Matthews was right on the money with this closing to tonights Hardball...

"Let me finish tonight with this.
Mitt Romney is running for president using the words and speeches of the same people who got us into the hell of Iraq: the neocons.

You can hear them in Romney's speech today, all this talk of "not apologizing for America's power." They've got a thing about that phrase: we should never apologize for our power.
Well, of course, it's all a straw man. No one apologizes for America's power. Yes, we rethink some of our actions — like not getting into World War II sooner, like escalating the American war in Vietnam, like the deceit and cunning and propaganda that took us into Iraq nine years ago. Yes, we dare to rethink and learn from our experiences. Yes, we wonder if the military solution was the right one. We, many of us, believe that mistakes were made, that leaders told us untruths, that we were sold a reality that was not a reality.
Yes, all this is true. In the world outside of stupid politics, it's called "growing up."
I don't know how someone like Mitt Romney, who didn't serve in Vietnam, doesn't feel in his conscience the need to revisit that war, to figure out what he thinks was done right, what was done wrong. That's not "apologizing" for America's power; it's understanding when and where and how to use it.
Here's what I think: I think that the horror of war is so vital to realize, to take to our own minds and hearts, that we don't send men and women into battle until the leaders fully and fairly decide that is the only solution. I trust President Obama to make that kind of decision. Today's words by Mitt Romney do not give me that confidence. The fact that they were so transparently written by the same neocons who sold us the war in Iraq makes me all the less certain of him.
Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.
Any American who bought the lies and corrupt thinking that took us into Iraq must hear in Romney's words today the worst memories of Iraq and "WMD" and "aluminum tubes" and "Niger yellowcake" and Scooter Libby and all the rest of this terrible, dishonest history.
If anyone should apologize to America, it's the neocons who wrote Romney's speech."

When will they admit it, it's PURE GREED!!!!!!

NO Teapublican I know will agree with this...that's why I hate them....js

How many men ever went to a barbecue and would let one man take off the table what's intended for 9/10th of the people to eat? The only way to be able to feed the balance of the people is to make that man come back and bring back some of that grub that he ain't got no business with!

Now we got a barbecue. We have been praying to the Almighty to send us to a feast. We have knelt on our knees morning and nighttime. The Lord has answered the prayer. He has called the barbecue. "Come to my feast," He said to 125 million American people. But Morgan and Rockefeller and Mellon and Baruch have walked up and took 85 percent of the victuals off the table!

Now, how are you going to feed the balance of the people? What's Morgan and Baruch and Rockefeller and Mellon going to do with all that grub? They can't eat it, they can't wear the clothes, they can't live in the houses.

Giv'em a yacht! Giv'em a Palace! Send 'em to Reno and give them a new wife when they want it, if that's what they want. [Laughter] But when they've got everything on God's loving earth that they can eat and they can wear and they can live in, and all that their children can live in and wear and eat, and all of their children's children can use, then we've got to call Mr. Morgan and Mr. Mellon an Mr. Rockefeller back and say, come back here, put that stuff back on this table here that you took away from here that you don't need. Leave something else for the American people to consume.

 Huey Long December 11. 1934

They really do believe they are Privileged!

"We've given "you people" all you need to know"... Ann Romney

LMAO!!! "Those people" are in big friggin trouble now....

Their brains are just different than ours....

Why doesn't the Right get this??

Demand drives the economy, not tax breaks.

Trickle Down Economics doesn't do a damn thing to address demand directly, what it does is THEORIZE what it MIGHT do if it worked.

It doesn't...

30+ years later middle class wages are stagnant while the wealth at the top has grown faster, and larger, than ever. Their wealth is growing while the middle class is shrinking. These aren't political ideological differences. These aren't debatable philosophies. These are just simple facts.
