A little background...

for Lisa and the Righties who claim Barack Obama came out of nowhere, a virtual nobody who was portrayed as a Messiah to steal the presidential election....

Fanfair

Harvard Law Reviewed

Kicking down doors.

The new president of the Harvard Law Review was somewhat taken aback by the deluge of media coverage that followed hard on the heels of his election. The New York Times ran a “First Black” headline, which probably won’t be the last time that label is affixed to Barack Obama. The twenty-eight-year-old law student says he wasn’t going to run for the office until a black friend talked him into it. “There’s a door to kick down,” the friend argued, “and you’re in a position to kick it down.” The job does give him a great forum, but there’s a trade-off. “I like to read novels, listen to Miles Davis,” he says. “I don’t get to do that anymore. I don’t get dates anymore.” Still, he’s philosophical, even briskly cheerful, about his lost leisure. And that’s because Barack Obama has a game plan: he wants to tackle the quagmire of America’s inner cities. Federal money alone won’t do it, he argues. The deeper problem is that “those communities are unorganized. We need to get more people planning.” For preparation, Harvard Law School is a “perfect place to examine how the power structure works. It gives you a certain language.” When he’s fluent, he’ll be able to translate the language of the streets (“which I can speak”) into the language of the Establishment, and vice versa. The sense of mission derives in part from his experiences in the Third World. He saw brutal poverty while growing up in Singapore [Editor’s note: We should have said Indonesia.] with his mother, an anthropologist, and his half-brothers and -sisters in Kenya still live hand to mouth at times. Obama says that his late father’s experience in the Kenyan government left him a broken and bitter man, and he responds warily to the assumption that he himself will run for office. “If I go into politics it should grow out of work I’ve done on the local level, not because I’m some media creation.” Though, as media creations go, he’d be a pretty good one.

My President, he's been around for a long time, a real mover and shaker, a real American who cares about ALL Americans...Do I think we are lucky to have him? You betcha I do!

I'd rather be a snob than a dickhead....

I hope this video goes viral, I hope the masses see Rick Santorum as the dangerous religious wingnut that he really is but doesn't want the general public to know it. He thinks he's saving all these good little tidbits for just his moron base of religious zealots, but sorry frothy guy, these extreme statements do have a way of getting around, something called the world wide web!!! God how I pray this pig gets the nomination so he can debate our highly esteemed President Barack Obama! Our president a SNOB??? Who is he trying to fool? Oh yes, the sheeple you see laughing and cheering his extremist words on in this video..get your barf bag out before you view it....

"I don't want some Liberal Professor indoctrinating our kids, I want to create jobs so people can makeover their kids in THEIR image!" What the fuck does that mean?? I'm just speechless by this vile disgusting video....how many more months of this?? Hurry up November I can't take it!!

The Right likes to accuse President Obama of "wiping his ass with the Constitution", Butt.....

In actuality, it is the Right who is shredding the U.S. Constitution....

The No Religious Test Clause of the United States Constitution is found in Article VI, paragraph 3, and states that:
The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States.
This has been interpreted to mean that no federal employee, whether elected or appointed, career or political, can be required to adhere to or accept any religion or belief. This clause immediately follows one requiring all federal and state officers to take an oath or affirmation of support to the Constitution, indicating that the requirement of such a statement does not imply any requirement by those so sworn to accept a particular religion or a particular doctrine. The option of giving an "affirmation" (rather than an "oath") can be interpreted as not requiring any metaphysical belief or as a nod to Mennonites and Quakers who would not swear oaths but would make affirmations.

Can someone inform the GOP candidates for POTUS, Franklin Graham, and Fox Nooze?... PLEASE!!!

The Good News Club

The Religious Right likes to accuse the Liberals of indoctrinating our school children,  Rick Santorum is calling for government and even state governments to get out of the business of funding public education, if you disagree with them then you should read this book......

"If you are a freethinker, a liberal, a religious moderate, a member of any religion other than evangelical Christianity, or simply someone who appreciates that these United States are a free nation, formed under secular principles and under secular laws, then you absolutely must purchase and read this book.

If you are a fundaloon (a Fundamentalist Christian Lunatic), then you do not need to read this book. You already know what you and your anti-democracy fascists are up to.

The Good News Club is one of many organizations within the evangelical Christian movement that was formed and is dedicated to "breaking down the doors" of America's public schools. Their methodology is outlined here, but is acknowledged by the various leaders and funders of this "club". There is nothing secret there, but the "stealthy" part is that when they do approach a school with their series of "after-school" bible studies, they sanitize their approach as being non-denominational and inclusive, when it is anything but.

According to Ms. Stewart, In Post-War (WWII) America, public education and interpretation of the First amendment's Establishment Clause were based on three pillars:
1) That the public schools should remain secular
2) That peer pressure is intimidation
3) That religious activity INSIDE the schools would be construed as being the SAME as religious activity BY the schools
Recent Supreme Court decisions by an ACTIVIST CONSERVATIVE court, led by Thomas and Scalia, have shredded the basic principles of the First Amendment. They have deliberately, as part of their fundamentalist Christian ideology, destroyed the Establishment Clause and made religious activity part of the Exercise of Free Speech Clause. Thus, the Establishment Clause has been rendered redundant or meaningless.

This movement is organized and well-funded. The various evangelical legal arms have a 300 million dollar per year budget. And they are concerned with only one issue: getting their version of their specific religion into the public schools and hopefully into control of those schools, and eventually our nation. By comparison, the ACLU has a budget under 100 million dollars, and they have dozens of concerns and battles to fight. In fact, at times, the ACLU has actually supported the free speech rights of the religious fanatics!

States Matthew Staver, founder of the Liberty Counsel, which provides legal counsel for the Child Evangelist Foundation (CEF--runs the Good News Clubs) and other Christian Nationalist organizations: "We're fighting against spiritual powers. Behold there is a battle between two nations...Satan is a strategist of war. He hates Jesus Christ...and especially someone who wants to introduce someone else to Jesus Christ, specifically the most strategic link that we have among us, children age five through twelve...If that's the truth, why would we be unaware that that would be the most strategic face of Satan?"

If you are a parent who does not believe in the literal truth of the bible, if you do not attend the "right" church (evangelical fundamentalist bible-believing), if you do not wish to live in a theocracy governed by selected Christian MALES who will decide all issues according to one singular apocalyptic interpretation of one version of the bible, if you do not wish for these deluded loons to have unfettered school-approved access to YOUR children and to all other children, then the above quote is and should be terrifying to you.

Ms. Stewart writes in a clear straightforward manner and is a parent herself. In fact, it was the experience of running into the Good News Club at her child's school that motivated her to research this subject and eventually write this book.

The battle for Reason and Reality is not over. The fundaloons see every one of the rest of us as minions of the Devil at worst, unsaved sinners at best. Their motives are clear, their reasoning is dishonest and delusional, but they are not stupid and they are not going to surrender. These are the home-grown versions of the Nazi jackboots and the Saudi "airplane pilots" who made 9/11 a date that has come to symbolize all that is wrong with extreme religion"

This is a review of the book on Amazon.com....Do you agree?

The President's Budget Proposals.....What oh what will the Republicans do now???

I know where my president stands on job creation, you can see it in his budget he submitted to Congress. I also know where the Republicans stand on job creation, they don't want any because it will give a boost to President Obama in this election year. Remember, the GOP wants to make sure Obama is a one term president.

Already the Republicans are calling the budget dead on arrival. Why, because there is more than $350 billion in short term job growth measures.  Democrats believe you have to spend money in a sluggish economy inorder to get people working which will then provide tax revenue to pay down the debt. Doesn't that seem a much clearer strategy then the GOP ONLY calling for huge cuts in programs like Medicare, and the always popular tax cuts to the rich, or better yet, don't tax the rich at all then they will hire and all will be well in the world of GOP insanity...just like now...where are the jobs since the rich have had the lowest tax rates in decades...but still we had a deep recession...get it?  You simply can not cut spending now, we are progressing forward, and if it's too slow for you then blame the Republicans, NOT the president.....

Some of the proposals in the budget are... investing $50 billion for roads, rails and runways to create thousands of quality jobs, who wouldn't like that? Also $30 billion to modernize at least 35,000 schools and $30 billion to help states keep and hire more teachers and first responders, who wouldn't agree to that?  Project Rebuild is a series of policies to help connect Americans looking for work in distressed communities, working to repurpose residential and commercial properties, creating jobs and stabilizing neighborhoods. Doesn't that sound terrific? What? Too much money, Too "community organizing " sounding for you? Tough, it sounds great and will put people to WORK!

There is also a new tax credit for this year focused on small businesses, it gives businesses that add jobs and wages a tax cut equal to 10 percent of up to $5 million in eligible wages per employer.  And there is the proposed investments in American innovation, clean energy and manufacturing, to create good jobs and goods stamped "Made in America".  Nobody would vote NO on that, would they?  How about the tax incentives for manufacturers who create jobs here, and it doubles the deduction for advanced manufacturing! This administration wants to end tax deductions for shipping jobs overseas and they want to establish a manufacturing communities tax credit to encourage investment in communities affected by job loss. If you are not on board with this then you are UN-American!

We must have more people working to make progress on deficit reduction. The president knows this, he can not move mountains by himself, Congress must act and do the right thing for American Progress! Those who work against progress should be ousted from their cushy government job!

We see President Obama's vision for the future, now we need a Congress who will work with him and work for us!  COUNTRY BEFORE PARTY!

YOUR religion IS NOT my religion, so get out of my medicine cabinet!

According to Wikipedia  the United States has a total resident population of 313,025,000,
there were 155.6 million females in the United States in 2009. so you can say most assuredly the number is higher today....now, out of that number how many of those females are sexually active, are using birth control, or have used birth control when planning their families? Millions? And the simple fact is....NOT ALL those women are religious, so why is the Republican Party in a self induced death spiral  putting this birth control argument front and center calling this a religious liberty issue, this is a woman's right issue! What the religious right wing and religious groups are doing is trying to force their theology on ALL WOMEN!

Let's be clear, this is a control issue by MEN, as seen in today's coverage of the U.S.House meeting on "religious liberty". MEN ruled the meeting even though no man in the history of the world has ever given birth or had to worry about using a contraceptive to avoid an unwanted pregnancy...no man had to worry about ovarian cancer or menstrual issues, not to my knowledge...but women have, and the birth control pill has been used for HEALTH ISSUES, as well as preventing pregnancy...omg, it's like a twilight zone movie from the 1950's...

Thank god for the Democrats who stood up for womans rights today, because what went on in the House hearing  was an assault on the intelligence of ALL Americans of sane mind.  Committee Chairman Issa and his band of men represent the worst of the Republican party, opposing Obama's new regulation requiring employers and insurers to provide contraception coverage to their employees. These right wing extremists have sponsored legislation that would allow employers to LIMIT the availability of birth control to women..in other words what they are trying to do is OUTLAW birth control in Amerika!!

When Elijah Cummings(thank god for him!) asked Issa to include a female witness (WTF, a female to talk about birth control? How dare she!) he refused and claimed the hearing was not about reproductive rights but it was about freedom of religion and conscience, which the Obama administration was out to destroy. NOBODY of sane mind and body believes that crap, NOBODY!!

Rep. Ann Buerkle pandered to the all male panel that included a Roman Catholic bishop, a Lutheran minister and a rabbi, she said she will fight to have the mandate repealed..HA! What a woman, she actually said the mandate is a fundamental assault on ALL RELIGIONS and our FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS! REALLY? as she sat there with religious leaders who want all women to be submissive to their whims...YES, ALL WOMEN, make no mistake about it!

So as we move forward in an election year, when the president is focused on jobs and the economy,  House Republicans and religious leaders are testifying in front of an America in disbelief, but what do they care, it's all they have. A partisan, all male gathering to bash women and their rights...and they call it  "Lines Crossed: Separation of Church and State. Has the Obama administration trampled on freedom of religion and freedom of conscience?"

The Religious Right has already lost this battle, why are they still trying to wage a war...

update for A RANT!: The more I think about that hearing yesterday the madder I get! Our US Representatives put on a display of Catholic bishops who want to control womens lives, they claim birth control is a mortal sin, their goal is to outlaw all contraceptives, and they call President Obama a dictator?? I'm shocked and bewildered how the Republican party and the Catholic Cult has ANY female support left! Don't those women realize they are handing over their SONS to fuckin old geezer child molesters, these sicko bastards who call birth control a sin so there is always a supply of fresh young meat for their enjoyment??! And for Issa and his cronies to defend this and put them on a panel to dictate to our female population what they can and can not do in the privacy of their homes?? What is wrong with you American conservative women?? Wake up!!

Now we must be afraid of Media Matters??

I stumbled upon this incredulous 6 page article at Daily Caller., Link came from FoxNews.com. It starts like this... This is the first in a Daily Caller investigative series on Media Matters For America. Daily Caller reporters Alex Pappas and Will Rahn contributed to this report.

This is a series of reports...
Inside Media Matters: Sources, memos reveal erratic behavior, close coordination with White House and news organizations

It's six pages of sensationalism and intrigue sure to scare the rightwing extremist to death, of our Commander in Chief, elected by a majority of intelligent Americans, President Barack Obama.

UPDATE! My friend Mary Banks got this email today, here is the reason why these Daily Caller "writers" are doing this series on Media Matters!

From Eric Boehlert, Media Matters
Friend --
No, our subject line wasn’t recreating Glenn Beck’s chalkboard – thankfully that went into retirement months ago. They are just some of the many victims of The Fox Effect and a sharp reminder of the destructive capability of Fox News’ lies.

Next week, Media Matters Chairman David Brock and Executive Vice President Ari Rabin-Havt will release a new book on Fox News, using leaked emails and the network employees’ own words to show Fox News for what it is – a political operation masquerading as a news network.
The Fox Effect lays out how the network operates when they attack political foes – a process we call the Fox Cycle:

STEP 1: Conservative activists introduce a lie.
STEP 2: Fox News devotes massive coverage to the story.
STEP 3: Fox attacks other outlets for ignoring the controversy.
STEP 4: Mainstream outlets begin reporting on the story.
STEP 5: Media critics, pundits praise Fox News coverage.
STEP 6: The story falls apart once the damage has been done.

Most attacks from Fox follows these six steps. The Fox Effect illustrates this phenomena and details how Fox News’ lies can be stamped out.

Mary is right when she says "The right just following the Bush Doctrine again, strike first so we don't have to fight them over here"  Thanks Mary, now we know why this series from Daily Caller! Assholes...

The proof is in the pudding, just read the CRAZY comments...

Man. Have you noticed how many parallels there are between this guy Brock and Joseph Goebels? And between media matters and MSNBC and the leftist MSM with the Nazi propaganda machine? It's kind of scary how few people ever question the "news" that is fed to them.

So we find out that Brock is a deranged, possessed, paranoid, drug addict with delusions of grandeur and an evil agenda that is wholly bent on corrupting the media. Did anyone expect anything else? Totalitarian movements always seem to have depraved people like Brock spreading their propaganda. That he is connected to Hillary and Soros certainly comes as no shock. They convened the coven that eventually manifested itself in groups like The Center for American Progress. One doesn't belong to such a ruthless, seditious cabal without sufficiently evil bona fides.

I had exactly the same reaction! Propaganda is being produced daily. And Joseph Goebbels learned how to produce propaganda from the American progressives of his era. We've now come full circle! And the American ones today are just as evil!
I just finished Alinsky's Rules for Radicals recently, and I couldn't help noticing that he all but promised that once they acquired the guns (control of law enforcement, military), they wouldn't hesitate to USE those guns against their political opponents. Those days are nearly upon us! OWS leaders are promising violence and unrest this summer without restraint!

Something has gone seriously wrong in our country and it ain't looking good...

Santorum, THE Religious Right Candidate...

All of a sudden I'm nervous...nervous because Rick Santorum is winning in states President Obama won in '08...Minnesota, Missouri, Colorado, Iowa....Religious wingnuts scare me, not because of their faith, but because people who back candidates like Rick Santorum are Fake Christians. Fake Christians scare me because they focus on hate, just look at this list of Santorum endorsements who believe he presents the biggest contrast to Obama. Well he sure does, but not in a Good way...

Michelle Malkin; David Limbaugh; former presidential candidate and Colorado Rep. Tom Tancredo; and James Dobson, the founder of Focus on the Family, which is based in Colorado Springs.

See? Hate...

Never underestimate the Religious Right...remember G W Bush...The Teapublicans, the religious right are definitely on a mission. Santorum scares me even more than Sarah Palin did...

I think we are witnessing a death spiral :)

The Republicans have spent the past 3 years with their heads together scheming and plotting of a way to convince  American voters they've made a herculean mistake by electing the Black Liberal as Leader of the Free World. But in doing so they have alienated themselves and turned the Grand Ole Party into the Grand Obstructionist Party. Even worse than that they have divided the nation and put the blame on President Obama.

As Republicans in Congress watch the President's approval numbers rise, and as the GOP candidates for 2012 scramble to put forth some sort of attractive message that will cause voters to flock to the polls and vote R in November, it's becoming obvious the Grand Ole Party is imploding. They have nobody to blame but themselves.. .. last month, a pollster told House Republicans that their polling numbers had collapsed while Congressional Democrats have actually seen theirs improve.  The Republican Party is in a self- induced death spiral. This year will be extremely interesting, will the R's continue their scheming or will they work with Democrats and President Obama? Will the Kochs, Limbaugh and Fox news retreat in defeat?  Hardly....

Today's news ...all GOP hypocrisy and more..

I am overwhelmed by today's news. I guess the best place to start is with the Clint Eastwood ad from last night's Super Bowl. You saw it right? Did you think Eastwood was speaking about President Obama and a well deserved second term thanks in part to his genius decision to save the auto industry, much to the dismay of most Republicans?  That was my take, even though Clint Eastwood is a Republican, I do believe he is in support of our president, how can you not? Well, If you are Karl Rove, you are pretty damn pissed off about the whole awesome ad....

Rove, on Fox News today
"I was, frankly, offended by it. I'm a huge fan of Clint Eastwood, I thought it was an extremely well-done ad, but it is a sign of what happens when you have Chicago-style politics, and the President of the United States and his political minions are, in essence, using our tax dollars to buy corporate advertising and the best-wishes of the management which is benefited by getting a bunch of our money that they'll never pay back."

That's fine Rove, you and your Fox news buddies can stew in your own gutter muck...the auto industry, the auto workers, and the jobs market..ALL ON A COMEBACK, and the Republicans are FURIOUS and scared shitless....too bad..

Next bit of good news is the new poll numbers out showing President Obama gaining, even surpassing, Mitt Romney in a general election match up. Well, Mittens people say the poll data is seriously flawed. Spokeswoman Gail Gitcho said in a statement that the poll introduced “specific negative information about Governor Romney immediately prior to asking the ballot match-up against President Obama.  So by negative they mean FACT BASED !  The voters were asked if Romney's wealth was a negative or a positive, do they think he did more to create or cut jobs at Bain Capital, did they feel his 14% tax rate was fair, and whether or not his Mormon religion would affect their views of him as a candidate!! That's it, ALL legit questions!  The more the voters know about Mittens the more they hate him....that's not the voters fault now Mittens! ;)

Oh and while we're talking about Romney... John Sununu, former New Hampshire Gov. and one of Romney's top campaign surrogates, would like you to know the reason for low voter turnout at the primaries...Republicans are so satisfied with their front running candidate they need not bother showing up to vote...Oh my, yes he really said that...!!

Now this next story I just LOVE!  Indiana Secretary of State Charlie White -- the man charged with upholding election integrity in Indiana -- was convicted of six felonies on Saturday, including three counts of voter fraud, two counts of perjury and one count of theft.  White, a Republican, could face up to three years in prison for each of the counts, the Indianapolis Star reports, and will be sentenced on February 23. The charges were based on accusations that White lied about where he lived while campaigning for secretary of state. The jury ruled he lied in order to keep receiving his salary from the Fishers Town Council even though he had moved out of his district.

The reason the story is so fascinating is because of the HUGELY popular(with Republicans) new voter ID laws that are wafting across our great land causing distress and killing our Democracy, YET the ones crying for these new laws are the ones committing the fraud!!! Google Republicans commit voter fraud and you will be amazed how  hypocritical this sick  party is! Have you noticed they said NOTHING about voter ID in the Iowa Primary? No of course not, they only want these voter suppression laws when Democrats vote...

some more Republican Hypocrites for your enjoyment...

Donald Lukens, Former Ohio Republican Congressman, was found guilty of having sex with a minor - a girl he was accused of sleeping with since she was 13. Also convicted of taking $15,000 in bribes from the operators of a trade school while he was a congressman. A U.S. District Court jury in Washington deliberated for just one hour before reaching the verdict.

Ed Schrock, two-term Republican Congressman from Virginia, with a 92% approval rating from the Christian Coalition. Cosponsor of the Federal Marriage Amendment, consistently opposed gay rights. Married, with wife and kids. Withdrew his candidacy for a third term after tapes of him soliciting for gay sex were circulated.

John Fund, of the Wall Street Journal, a prominent anti-abortion columnist and GOP fund raiser. He lost his position after it was revealed that he impregnated the daughter of an old girlfriend and then encouraged her to abort his child.

John Allen Burt, Republican anti-abortion activist from Pensacola, Florida, convicted of sexually molesting a 15 year old girl at the home for troubled girls that he ran.

Are there some good and decent Republicans? Yea, I guess, but the party of family values, the religious right, the party screaming about voter fraud, the party who calls our President a Kenyan, Marxist, Socialist, commie pinko pig...HYPOCRITES, one and all...

Contrasting President Obama with the hypocrite Right..

What a day! Actually I wanted to do a post on the contrast between President Obama's morning speaking at the National Prayer Breakfast, and Willard Mitt Romney's afternoon accepting the endorsement of The Donald Trump. I think you all know how the day went...

President Obama spoke with elegance and grace as he quoted scripture, he spoke about shared responsibility, his belief in God's command to love thy neighbor as thyself, he said "I am my brother's keeper, I am my sister's keeper, that as a country we rise and fall together. I'm not an island. I'm not alone in my success. I succeed because others succeed with me. And when I decide to stand up for foreign aid, or prevent atrocities in places like Uganda, or take on issues like human trafficking, it's not just about strengthening alliances, or promoting democratic values, or projecting American leadership around the world, although it does all those things and it will make us safer and more secure. It's also about the biblical call to care for the least of these -- for the poor; for those at the margins of our society.... Treating others as you want to be treated. ....Requiring much from those who have been given so much..... Living by the principle that we are our brother's keeper..... Caring for the poor and those in need.....Was President Obama sending a message to the Religious Right they need to practice what they preach?, their claim to be the Party of God is hypocritical?, that he, Barack Obama, really is a Christian ???  A Democratic president, a Christian?? Oh No, It's the Republicans, they are the Christians we should put our trust in as leaders of the free world! Really? Republicans don't quote scripture, they never talk about Jesus' teaching to care for those less fortunate, to be your brothers keeper...have you noticed?? They talk about abortion, class warfare, the privileged not the down trodden....these things are not in their Bible...anyway....

Mitt was endorsed by The Donald...woofuckinhoo...how embarrassing is that?? js...

So while I was reading the transcript from the Prayer Breakfast I skimmed over the always interesting comments from the peanut gallery and knew this one was gonna be a blog post for today..this guy was replying to a religious rightie who was blaming Obama for the abortion rate, the fact that birth control pills and condoms did not work 100% of the time therefore some unwanted pregnancies occurred, which of course he blamed on the Immoral Majority and Pres. Obama.....so goes the reply,

ehkzu
3:17 PM EST
The biblical injunction against killing was never intended to apply to anything but human beings--which the Bible defines as those who have been out of the womb successfully for 30 days or more.

The idea that it means anything else was invented in the mid-19th century by the head of one putatively Christian church, who claimed he could change the Bible's meaning as he saw fit, and did so according to his understanding of 19th century science, not anything scriptural.

Then this putatively Christian church managed to convince Protestants of the same thing by waterboarding the rules of logic to inject talk about fetuses and abortion into the Bible post hoc. It now uses sonograms to invent thoughts and feelings for fetuses, with as much basis in reality as the "diagnosis" by Congressional Republicans of Terry Schiavo's "thoughts and feelings" when her skull held nothing but a brain stem and fluid.

And I notice that in ccnl1's rant against the President, he/she/it says exactly nothing about actual babies and actual children--who die of starvation daily worldwide by the tens of thousands, and thousands of whom are kept as actual slaves in the USA right now--plus the millions living in terrible circumstances--thus confirming the liberals' charge that self-appointed "Pro-Life" people have no interest in doing what Christ actually told them to do.

Actual people like the cases of pregnant children as young as ten years old in Latin America who that same putatively Christian church uses its control over government to force to carry their rapist's fetus to term and try to give birth when their bodies are completely unprepared to do so. Such callous disregard for raped actual children is appalling.

Or how about the lady in Arizona a year or so ago who would have died--along with the fetus, which wasn't viable yet--if she hadn't gotten an abortion? This same putatively Christian church promptly excommunicated the church administrator who okayed the abortion.

Worse yet, the world's total population is increasing at the rate of over 140 people A MINUTE. Even today it would take 1.4 Earths to sustainably care for the number of people that exist now. We are literally killing the only place in the entire Universe that we know can keep us alive. A billion people are starving at any given time.

Which make the anti-abortion movement actually the Pro-Death movement.

They say the path to Hell is paved with good intentions. Here's the proof.

As for "human life starts at conception"--Not identical twins. Not chimeras. Not all the non-viable fertilized eggs--the ectopic pregnancies, the ones that fail to implant naturally, the ones that aren't genetically viable, the ones that aren't compatible with the mother's biochemistry. A fertilized egg is a fertilized egg, not an itsy bitsy man or woman.

But even if it were, we'd still need every nation on Earth to adopt China's One Child policy. Now that really would be a "Pro-Life" stance.

Amen....
