The GOP, they aren't even afraid to come before the public and say they don't want reform on Wall St. They don't think Wall St. needs regulated. They think we should leave the crooks alone to make their money. Hmmmm...Main St. or Wall St. who do you want your leaders to be on the side of? If you like the way Wall St. handled itself during the Bush reign then go ahead, support the GOP in their efforts to go back to that. And while you're at it, support their filibustering of the jobs bill too, that's supposed to happen this Monday. They don't have any plans to help get America back to work, their priorities lie on Wall St. and making sure they have what it takes to destroy America.

Bernie Sanders speaking to Ed Schultz today says he's so tired of being on the defense. He said it's incomprehensible how the rightwing is lecturing them about the deficit crisis when it was the repubs who caused it! The war in Iraq that will eventually cost between 2 and 3 trillion, NOT paid for; Hundreds of Billions in tax cuts for the top 1%, NOT paid for; prescription drug bill written by the drug and insurance companies costing 400 billion over 10 years, NOT paid for; over 700 Billion TARP bailout by the Bush administration with NO strings attached, NEVER to see any of that money returned..... ALL under GW Bush. This my friends is the reality. It has to be time for democrats to go on the offense.

The rethugs have a strategy and that is to obstruct and make sure Obama has no successes. Sanders says time is long overdue for dems to realize that and start using reconciliation to go forward on jobs, healthcare reform, bank reform, etc. I say it's time to stop coming before the cameras and get to work doing these things you all complain about! Dems say the right things and have the right ideas but they are too friggin' SLOW!!

The video also has Ed talking about the rethug hypocrisy and the Christmas bomber talking to the FBI. The masterful job the FBI has done to bring the bombers parents here to convince their son to cooperate, plus the valuable and usable info they are getting from the bomber is practically being laughed at by the GOP. If it's not done their way, ya know torture, then it's not being done right! That's ok GOP, keep talking, keep saying Obama does nothing right. I pray to God it all backfires on you the way you pray to God Obama fails! The hypocrisy coming from the right wing is astounding!!

Who can you REALLY trust?

The other day, during the GOP House get together with the president, did you notice anything kinda weird at the end of the Q and A?? Well I did, the House members started towards the president to shake his hand, there was so much excitement in the room! Lots of hugging and laughing, picture taking, and someone even bragged she got his autograph! Virginia Foxx! Can you believe this? Here's her tweet:

This is my humble opinion... Republican House and Senate members, the leaders of the Conservative party, actually LIKE OBAMA!! What they are doing in private and what they do for the amusement of their constituents, is totally different. See, when you rightwingers say you want government out of your life and out of your healthcare etc. then these leaders have to pretend they are listening to you but in actuality they think you are friggin bonkers! But of course it's all about the reelection, the "Taking back of your country from the evil Democrats". So they have to pretend they think Obama is a Kenyan, a socialist out to destroy America. He's gonna kill your grandma, he's, heaven forbid... THE Anti-Christ!

That's also what Fox news and Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity, Huckabee, Palin, Bachmann, and Foxx are doing too! They really admire Obama, they lunch with him and Michelle, they exchanged Christmas gifts. Ailes and Beck sit in the Penthouse suite counting their money and plan the weeks shows. Beck has his chalkboards and charts all ready for ya! See, it's all about the money and the ratings. That's why these guys and gals talk like morons, because the more insane they act the more you support them. Which in turn means they make tons and tons of MONEY! It's pure genius!!

Remember when the tea party gang first appeared? Tea bags decorated their hats, signs all decorated with images of Obama with face paint and bones in his nose, "Obama's a socialist", "Take your grubby hands off my Medicare", "NO PUBIC OPTION"! Beck was laughing up a storm while he and Limpy riled up the base of idiots, the most far right fringe of the party known as the nutfucks. All fuming, foaming at the mouth like rabid raccoons, with hate for our country, liberals, and President Obama....

So, the next time one of your leaders tries to tell you something really sinister about President Obama, check it out and see if they are telling the truth. You never can tell these days, your favorite trusted Congressman or Senator just might be pulling your leg! Scary isn't it!

Australia can do it, why can't we?

In case you are one who doesn't read comments left from others, I wanted to post this comment from Magpie he so graciously left yesterday on a previous post. Actually this is the type of comment I would like to email to the White House. Read what he said:

I'm from Australia and we've had public health care since 1975. I infer from your post that you are inviting this sort of comment so I hope it's welcome.

We claim expenses back in part or full from medicare, which is funded by a levy of 1.5% of taxable income, or less for low income earners. High income earners pay a surcharge of 1% of taxable income.
Generally speaking, you don't even feel the effect of the levy on your wallet, and access to health care is universally affordable for it.

There are imperfections and blind spots, of course no system is perfect. But it generally works.

As I've said elsewhere on US blogs re this issue, even our Right wing parties would not dare take this away from the public. It's part of our understanding of social justice. It's not socialist, communist, liberal or anything. It's just what we expect.

Furthermore we are still paying less of GDP than you are for medical services.

You have been ripped off for years and forced to suffer the pain for the ideological claptrap and greedy puppeteers of the Right wing. You should be profoundly angry.

Thank you Magpie. We are angry, but I don't know how far that has gotten us! Just in the past 2 weeks I have heard countless times "the HC bill is dead", then along comes a liberal Senator who says "the HC bill is NOT DEAD". Do you see why we are angry and growing desperate for our leaders to come to some sort of agreement on HC reform? When other countries who have this tried and true universal HC, look at us fighting over simple human rights, they must think we are morons! And ya know what? WE ARE!

I hope you come back Magpie and help us to understand more because a part of this country does not get it! Thanks again!
