The Republican Lie

I don't know why it is the Republican Party is doing every thing in it's power to kill off the middle class. I can't believe all those conservative men and women in Congress actually believe the utter nonsense and bullshit they preach to the unwavering, blind followers of the GOP.  The Republicans are liars, there is a massive amount of reading material on the web if you GOOGLE The Republican Tax Lie.

Republicans and the big lie about taxes.  Republicans refuse to admit the tax cuts to the top 2% has brought about such despair to our nation, it has caused our debt to balloon, our middle class to shrink, a widening of the income gap, the rich getting richer quicker, the poor getting poorer...they don't believe any of it so therefore have no ideas how to stop the insanity...or maybe they don't want to stop the insanity....maybe they like the classes just the way they are......The richest of the rich and the dreaded poorest of the poor, who BTW are "the poor" because of GOP policies. If the GOP hates poor people so much then why do they continue to make more of them?   And...NO middle class, they don't want a middle class. So if the poor people die off either from homelessness, starvation, or disease, and the middle class shrinks into the poor, then what is left of America?? THE RICH!! Get it? I hope all you middle class conservatives "get it" sooner rather than later...

I'm veering off track..back to the Republican Lie....The Republiscum lie that raising taxes on the rich will kill jobs is nothing more than a right wing talking point without a shred of truth to it. The Rethuglicans still subscribe to the lie theory that if you keep telling the lie often enough the lazy, non-thinking, conservative followers will start to believe it.

Growth and prosperity are greatest when tax rates on the rich are high, they start to decline immediately when tax rates for the rich are lowered.  This is so obvious with the Bush tax cuts, they didn't produce a flood of growth, the budget was not balanced and the standard of living for the middle class was sinking fast.

How is it the conservatives who follow the GOP like little Stepford wives, like blind sheeple, can not see the lie?? You can't possibly be any better off than the rest of us, yet you turn your backs on the party who wants the middle class to grow and prosper and continue to cling to the party who is bringing down America with you in it!

Where were the conservatives when Bush and Co., with their disastrous economic policies, turned a prosperous country with balanced budgets, into a crippled economy that resembles a Third World banana republic?? And out of a Democratic Party win in '08 comes the friggin Tea Party??? That is INSANE!!  Those teabaggers should have taken to the streets in '04!!

President Obama has done a terrific job of stopping the massive bleeding, but to our impatient Americans I hope you realize it will take years of Democratic control to turn around the damaged economy. So take off your blinders, look at the policies from the past that got us here, NOT at President Obama who is trying to keep you from going COMPLETELY under.

What is really ironic is that the Republican Party puts National Security as top priority, they want us to be number one in the world as far as our military capabilities, but they don't have a clue how to address our economic policies which is how we stay number one! With a sinking economy how can you defend your country you numb nuts??

I have never witnessed such incompetent boobs in all my life as I look at today's Republican Party. I don't know how the Americans who put party loyalty before the well being of our country can look at themselves in the mirror....

The chart obviously shows what it was intended to show, which is that the policies of Democratic presidents cause greater economic growth among the lower income levels, while the policies of Republican presidents promote more growth at the higher levels and less growth at the lower levels. But there's another inference which can be derived from the chart, which is that everyone does better when the lowest income levels are rising. For the top 5%, the income growth might be pretty much the same either way, but for everyone else, there is a correlation between income growth at the lowest levels and income growth at all levels.

Republicans simply don't believe in any programs to help "the people."
They believe those kind of programs are unconstitutional.
Since FDR they could never get the votes to eliminate these programs (because they are popular-Americans want them) so they just starve them by cutting the money to government.
No matter this hurts the country by driving it to bankruptcy, they have their ideology to follow.
No matter that these programs have proven to be good for America, they want them eliminated.
It's their ideology over what's good for America. That's why they should not be given power again. Look what happens when we do give them power.
This goes back to Calvin Coolidge (Ronald Reagan's political idol and where he got the idea from) when cutting taxes and favoring corporations and rich people were their policies. The Great Depression was the result.
If not for safety net programs, we would be in the midst today, of another great depression.
I posted about this two days ago, it is still my top post.

To set the record straight after the troll's disinformation:

Q1. Which political party took Social Security from the independent trust fund and put it into the general fund so that Congress could spend it?

A1: There has never been any change in the way the Social Security program is financed or the way that Social Security payroll taxes are used by the federal government. The Social Security Trust Fund was created in 1939 as part of the Amendments enacted in that year. From its inception, the Trust Fund has always worked the same way. The Social Security Trust Fund has never been "put into the general fund of the government.

Most likely this question comes from a confusion between the financing of the Social Security program and the way the Social Security Trust Fund is treated in federal budget accounting. Starting in 1969 (due to action by the Johnson Administration in 1968) the transactions to the Trust Fund were included in what is known as the "unified budget." This means that every function of the federal government is included in a single budget. This is sometimes described by saying that the Social Security Trust Funds are "on-budget." This budget treatment of the Social Security Trust Fund continued until 1990 when the Trust Funds were again taken "off-budget." This means only that they are shown as a separate account in the federal budget. But whether the Trust Funds are "on-budget" or "off-budget" is primarily a question of accounting practices--it has no effect on the actual operations of the Trust Fund itself.

FACTS

Your resident troll, Sue, is stupidly wrong. Again.

When someone is this wrong this often, it's best not to give her any credence on anything.

Great link, Shaw. It clearly answers the other four false facts of Lisa also.

It never ceases to amaze me how the left shows such disregard for anything thought that strays outside the "progressive corral."

Progressives are indeed the movement of tyranny in America.

To the progressive any alternative view must be killed.

To the progressive it is not about finding a reasonable and workable solution. Oh no, it's all about Agreeing with the progressive {communist} dogma of state control over the economy and the individual's life.

Having said the above I fully expect to to have this comment deleted by the blog administrator.

Which is of course the reason I have saved it for future post on my blog exposing the progressive's penchant for censorship.

As well as other nefarious and disingenuous proclivities....

Vitriol, when it's constant (and, yes, I'm talking to both sides of the political equation here), simply becomes noise.

Well that was a lot of nothing, RN. What did Sue say that is incorrect?

From RN's blog about commenting:

"As this site encourages free speech and expression, any and all political commentary is acceptable. Comments with cursing or vulgar language will, however, be removed."

You talk about censorship, yet you do it yourself. Censorship is censorship. So what then? It isn't censorship unless you agree with it?

Fucking stupid. You are NO Libertarian. If anything, you are confused.

Sue said...

Tom I will be by tonight, great comment!

Shaw thanks for the work you put into refuting the troll, appreciate it!

RN you are definitely mixed up, the progressives don't stifle the other views, we welcome them so we can show the differences between the 2 parties. I do not delete opposing views, I delete trolls who have been told not to comment here but ignore my request. I do delete wise ass comments that have nothing to do with the post subject too.

after what we are seeing coming from teabagger governed states you have the balls to say this...
"progressive {communist} dogma of state control over the economy and the individual's life."

that is too funny for words!

Sue said...

Will, we have a very important election coming up, my side must show what the Republican party is doing to our great nation! NOT showing the party differences would be scandalous!

Dave Dubya said...

The Republicans love to get elected in order to prove government doesn't work. They work for the interests of Big Money exclusively, to consolidate the power and redistribute wealth to the economic elite. They are as hostile towards democracy as Communist China is.

This is why they adopt the methods of a cult. They require a massive system of indoctrination in order to incite fear, anger and mistrust in their dupes towards any and all efforts towards the public good.

The Right also brought us the Patriot Act, torture and war based on lies. It is the Right that has built the framework of a police state.

And they have the unmitigated gall to call progressives the “movement of tyranny”. Yessiree, in their twisted message safety nets and health care are the hallmarks of totalitarians, unlike the Right’s prison industrial complex, war, torture, and trickle up redistribution of power and wealth to the plutocracy.

To the progressive it is not about finding a reasonable and workable solution. Oh no, it's all about Agreeing with the progressive {communist} dogma of state control over the economy and the individual's life.

The American radical Right echoes the identical smears against their opposition as did the fascists of last century Europe. They share the same authoritarian hostility against peace, against the public, against the minorities and against freedom. As we suffer American neo-fascism taking its grip on our nation, we see them following the tried and true fascist tactic to portray all who oppose them as communists.

This is what fascist do by their very nature, in their war on shared prosperity, their war on democracy, and their war on freedom. For deep in their being, they arrogantly see themselves superior to the rest of us, rationalizing their desire for authoritarian dominance over the American people.

Censorship? You have deleted many comments from me, on your blog. Those were not vulgar comments, just ideas expressed you hate.

RN has been blacklisted from my new blog, just 2 days ago.
He sent a vulgar, threatening comment and posted it on a post about dogs!

He attacked my old blog last Summer, until I had to put on comment moderation.
There is no comment moderation on my new blog, I simply added his address to the "blacklist" on my blog site.

Did you speak to what Sue wrote about? Do you ever?

Does History show, that progressive programs have helped millions of our citizens and saved thousands of lives? YES

With the evidence and numbers right in front of you - instead of giving some logical argument, you still call people names like "Commie."

The last person to understand they are a racist, is a racist.

The last person who thinks they are an uncivil blogger, is an uncivil blogger.

The last person to think they are closed minded, is a closed minded person.

You live in a delusion where you are, what you think you are not.

You live in this delusion where everyone else is wrong, but you are right and will defend your position, to an insane level.

You question a black mans (this case the President of the United States) birth rite, and don't understand how that is racist. You say it's a legitimate question, which of course, you never asked of GWB, or any other President.

You fight for the right to own a gun, but you are the last person who should own a gun, with your delusional state of mind.

You are a joke dude!

Except maybe to those who deal with you in person, and have no clue you might go "off the deep end" and they might be in danger.

This is what is known as "projection." You take yourself, and project.

Since all of you speak whatever Rush tells you to speak, you are not even worth debating. Ridiculing, now.... that's what you need, and deserve.

You can tell all the lies you want to, and you can make the same stupid mistakes over and over again, but you cannot change history. Every stat there is backs up the truth of the matter, and you can't erase the truth with 50,000 talking points.

//..The Republican lie that raising taxes on the rich will kill jobs is nothing more than a right wing talking point//

.. and not even a good talking point. If all those 'tax cuts' to the upper income individuals had worked, for over eight years of the Bush administration, we would have more jobs. To say that it would kill jobs is blatant nonsense...there has been so much distortion in talking points it is ridiculous...government tax breaks to corporations need to be reactive... you create the jobs.... than we might give you a break... no jobs, no break. They have had the breaks and they didn't make them work.

RN reminds so much of a man tilting at windmills, wildly flailing the air with empty words. I can read that stuff anywhere...

Nice statistics Sue. It's not all that different than saying that everything has been going to hell in a hand-basket for the last thirty years. The taxation policies of the Roosevelt, Truman and Kennedy administrations were uninterrupted by Eisenhower and Nixon. Basically, the generation of our parents saw unparalleled growth of the middle class and true upward mobility such as the world had never before produced. They gave their children everything they never could have when they were young. Most of us went to college and emerged without any debt and found good jobs related to our fields of study.

What can we give to our children now? If we are doing well we may be able to help them get through college without crippling debt. I guess it remains to be seen if the young generation will find good paying jobs and have the opportunity to raise families in their own homes. It's going to take some doing. I think there is a certain appeal to the republican model that allows large segments of the population to fall through the cracks, so to speak. If we don't have to take care of everybody, won't there be more left for our own?

Unequivocally yes! While I would have preferred the term "fat asshole" be used instead, Sue had every right to call him the "other" term. The video clearly portrayed Governor Christie in a very phat phuckish type of manner. Governor Christie was acting like an asshole to his constituent, and the "fat" descriptor is not even up for debate. This is not a lovable characteristic in any chief executor.

Tell me something RN, do you actually get involved with your local lawmakers in any way, shape or form? Or are you "one of those" that forward grossly erroneous emails to you and your friends that are laced with descriminatory and/or racist propoganda while sitting on your fat asses pissing and moaning while doing absolutely nothing?

You have yet to show ANY contribution to any of the topics you have commented on and have done nothing but throw shit like some chimp at the zoo...much like another resident troll has been noted for doing here.

Well that and the fact she ignored the MSM so much they began to return the favor.

Yes drinking wine coolers on a camping trip till you pass out drunk so your "boy-friend" can have his way and you end up prego.

That is her experience, she even says so.

Trash Bristol's mom, not Bristol....She's still young, dumb, and full 'o cum, plus she's a single mom who needs the money; she's not runnin' for office. Do you really think the Palin's are the type that take care of their own? Puh-lease! Not unless there's exploitation involved. I bet mama griz would eat her own young in a second if they were to openly bad mouth mama griz.

I really hate Bristol's whole ABSTINENCE farce (not to mention all of her other ridiculous maketing tactics), but I don't believe for a second that it's Bristol's doing. It's just damage control and media whoring for mama griz (even some vicarious media whoring), and Bristol probably wouldn't be doing half of this crap if mama griz wasn't playing helicopter mom by hovering over her. Hell, she'd probably be out camping and drunk-riding atvs with boys in the Alaskan wilderness.
