Poor thing, nobody likes her...

 Do you like her??

A conservative columnist whose bonafides include a stint at the National Review and a speechwriting gig for former first lady Nancy Reagan has slammed Sarah Palin, calling the former half-term governor "consumed and obsessed by the media."
Writing on the self-described "conservative" Townhall.com, columnist Mona Charen blasted Palin for her lack of experience:

Palin was advised by those who admire her natural gifts to bone up on policy and devote herself to governing Alaska successfully. Instead, she quit her job as governor after two and a half years, published a book (another is due next week), and seemed to chase money and empty celebrity.

Barbara Bush spoke to Larry King about Sarah Palin......
Her impression?
"Thought she was beautiful. And she's very happy in Alaska," Bush said, chuckling. "I hope she'll stay there."

Rosanne Cash, daughter of legendary country singer and songwriter Johnny Cash, tweeted her way into politics again Tuesday, sending out a dispatch batting former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin for supposed hypocrisy in her criticism of President Obama as an unvetted, unprepared leader.

The musician tweeted Tuesday:
He was pres. of the Harvard law review, a constitutional scholar and a Senator. And you?http://fb.me/KloEmhZ9

Sarah Palin was at the butt end of an insult from former Hillary Clinton aide Jami Floyd on Friday, when Floyd called the former Alaska Governor and potential presidential fascination an "extraordinary ass."
"Never underestimate your opponent and the governor says she's an extraordinary asset to her party," Floyd said on MSNBC. "I say she's an extraordinary ass, frankly."

In an interview with ABC News scheduled to air in full on December 9, Barbara Walters asked Palin, "If you ran for president, could you beat Barack Obama?"
"I believe so," Palin responded.

This woman is getting slammed from every front, and some say we better be careful because it will just cause her followers to reload, not retreat. But damn, Hillary Clinton is one of the smartest and most qualified political figures in America today and she failed at winning the nomination, and this woman actually believes she can do what Hillary could not?

In a New York Times piece she said this,
“I know that a hurdle I would have to cross, that some other potential candidates wouldn’t have to cross right out of the chute, is proving my record. That’s the most frustrating thing for me — the warped and perverted description of my record and what I’ve accomplished over the last two decades. It’s been much more perplexing to me than where the lamestream media has wanted to go about my personal life. And other candidates haven’t faced these criticisms the way I have.”
I asked her if by avoiding the national press, she didn’t bear at least some responsibility for the way the public viewed her. “I’m on television nearly every single day with reporters,” she shot back. “Now granted, that’s mainly through my job at Fox News, and I’m very proud to be associated with them, but I’m not avoiding anything or anybody. I’m on Facebook and Twitter. I’m out there. I want to talk about my record, though.”

Why does she make us throw-up? Her record is not warped and distorted, it's the absolute truth, that's the problem she's having. We Know Her! We know her record, She's NOT qualified to be president but she's too stupid to see that!

The fact that she is too stupid to see that she is not qualified to be president is not the problem. The problem is that there are people out there that vote that are too stupid to see that she is not qualified to be president.

that's true Jerry, but are there enough of them to put that woman and her brood into the White House causing an apocalyptic disaster for our country, and the world?

If there are enough people to put her in the White House, then clearly education is our number 1 problem.

I agree that her followers are not seeing her true destructive potential. But she can never win an election, because the total numbers the Republican machine can muster simply is not large enough to pull it off. In this hotly contested mid-terms, the Republicans only got 20% of the eligible voters, and the Dems got 20%. This says 60% did not even vote Republican, they sure as hell won't vote for her.

That 20% of Republican voters is just about 15% of the population. Out of 218 million voters, about 44million voted Repulican...they don't have the numbers to win. YAY!!! :)

She really is a narcisstic person.
She is just chasing the big bucks and fame.
Even her voice just grates on my nerves...

She's not smart enough to wipe. Why do you think the Rushpubliscum "base" worships her?

The fact that she relies on Twit and FB to get across her views shows just how shallow the twit is.

We may be seeing the beginning of the end for this self-indulgent know-nothing. When high-profile conservatives, like B Bush and Charen, David Brook and even George Wills, begin making uncomplimentary statements publicly, I think it's just a matter of time. It won't happen overnight but I think it's coming.

Of course this may be a self-serving GOP plot to destroy Palin before she becomes a real threat - something they should have done a long time ago.

Thanks for the math lesson, Teeluck. You can imagine how much this mathematically deprived individual got out of it. ; ) Good try though and I'm sure everyone but me understands it perfectly.

we certainly do have an education problem in this country, we can blame the thugs for that too!

Hey Tee, I do like your numbers, so now we can all relax right? YAY, dems take ALL in 2012!

anon her voice is one of her most unflattering qualities. I don't know how Todd stands her! Maybe he wears earplugs.

HA! JR, you got a point there. Leslie that twitter and facebook line was so funny. Can you imagine! Who the hell would waste their time on FB ;-)

Fox, twitter and FB, yea she's real presidential material...GAG

BTW everyone I am now on FB...;-)

I find it interesting that people on the conservative side are getting braver in publicly criticizing Sarah Palin. I don't think this is an accident. I believe they see that Palin could actually win the GOP nomination and if she does, it's basically guaranteeing Obama a 2nd term.

The fact that Sarah considers Facebook and Twitter as being "out there" is a joke. Her claim that she isn't avoiding anything or anybody is likely a lie because I'll bet that liberal pundits like Rachel Maddow have tried to get her on their shows. I've seen Sarah struggle with softball questions thrown by the likes of Hannity and O'Reilly. She'd crumble like a cookie under Rachel's questioning.

By the way, I have a post on my pop culture blog about the conspiracy theory surrounding Bristol Palin's success on Dancing with the Stars. I hope you are able to check it out:

Charen is quite right. Those "natural gifts" are impressive. Palin is beautiful, charismatic, and possessed of an unmatched ability to focus media fascination on herself (just look at the number of liberal blog posts about her). If she had intelligence and a work ethic to match, the Presidency would be a near-certainty, if not in 2012 then later after she had more experience.

As it is, she's a queasy joke, and even about half of Republican voters consider her unqualified for high office. Barring bizarre circumstances, she could never win a Presidential election, but she sucks all the oxygen out of the race for the Republican nomination. She can never be the Republicans' Odysseus, but she seems destined to be their unwitting Siren, luring them to their doom with impossible dreams.

LOL Great comment, Infidel. You nailed her.

Her fans inflate her resume to make it look like being mayor of a podunk town (which she left millions of dollars in debt) and a quitter (she quit her charmanship of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission after serving less than a year, and then quit her job less than half way through her governorship of a state whose population is less than 15 or 16 American CITIES!

Alaska also took more federal pork than any other state in the Union.

Her "record" is less than illustrious and bearly qualifies her for a seat on a city council of a major American city, let along the presidency of the United States.

She's been encouraged and promoted by know-nothings who believe in her hokey "you betcha" folksey veneer.

She's a celebrity ELITIST millionairess, and not "one of them."

The high muckey-mucks of the GOP are afraid of her running as a third party candidate and splitting the GOP vote in 2012, guaranteeing an Obama victory.

She's their little frankenstein monster, and they'll have to chase her away with their political torches and pitchforks.

Sarah is over 35 and a citizen born in the United States. She is Constitutionally qualified to be president.

I wonder if she knew that?

And I was one of Sue's first Facebook friends.

Malcolm I would love to see Rachel or Keith have a chance to interview Palin. Ain't never gonna happen!

Infidel you sound so poetic!

We liberals keep talking about her so the public never forgets what a bimbo she is. We have to highlight these morons, it's our job!
Thanks Shaw, Jerry and all who stopped by...
