You can only dress up the "dismantling of Medicare and medicaid" so much before even the biggest idiots call you on your bullshit.

I mean really....what were they expecting???

Sue said...

C, they still don't get it, they will be all over Fox tomorrow saying the people are being lied to, the lamestream media is lying about Ryans Plan, yea right! The country doesn't want the GOP touching their Medicare and SS, simple to understand if you really LISTEN to your constituents!

Well well well, wanting to dismantle Medicare this year isn't working any better then wanting to dismantle Medicare did for Goldwater in '64.

The republi-dummies never seem to learn do they?

PS: Happy Birthday to Bob Dylan, who turned 70 today.

Oh sure, the people are being lied to about the Ryan Plan! The Great Ryan Plan. What a crock of shit. The republicans are soooooooo concerned about the deficit, yet they are willing to add over 30 TRILLION dollars to it just to get rid of Medicare and Medicaid.

They are such assholes!

The CDM said...

Jerry, that's what they call "redistribution of wealth". Know what I'm sayin'?

Congratulations to Kathy Hochul.

Nov. 2010 was an anomaly, with only about 1/3 of the voting population turning out. Unfortunately, that worked to the advantage of the TPs. Once they revealed their plans to dismantle Medicare and SS, and their attack on women's rights, the people who stayed home instead of voting woke up!

The huge upset in upstate NY is a wake-up call to the country.

This is as big an upset as was Scott Brown's election to the US Senate in Mass. (And even he has flip-flopped on the Ryan plan, saying first that he WOULD vote for it, then reversing himself when he saw the train wreck coming.)

I remember quite well the crowing coming from the conservative bloggers about the Nov. 2010 election upsets.

I hope they're eating that crow now.

Votes to cut/replace Medicare...the new "Death panels".

Yeah, these bastards NEED to have their asses handed to them.

Sue said...

this is a GREAT day! The vote speaks volumes, will the GOP listen, finally? I don't know if they can, it would mean changing "who they are", I don't think they wanna do that. They are who they are and the people are rejecting them and their terrible policies!

Sue said...

yup all all along it was the GOP with the death panel wish, it's all becoming very very clear!

When alot of the GOP start to move away from supporting Paul Ryans disastrous plan, how can they be trusted?? This how they steal elections, the lying bastards

Shaw Kenawe said...

"That's because the Democrats are using scare tactics....again."

LOL! Someone actually seriously typed those words?

"Death Panels?" The ACA would kill granny?

"Man on Dog" Santorum--allowing gay marriage would mean people would marry their dogs?

"Bailing out Chrysler"--GOP Senators said it would destroy Detroit?

All of those were scare tactics from the GOP that were lies and proved to be wrong.

Apparently the anonymous troll doesn't know how to read, just copy and paste lies.

The facts are that the Ryan plan would have changed drastically altered Medicare.

It was RYAN and the GOP who scared the crap out of Americans, liberal AND conservative. Conservatives voted for Hochul because of Ryan's scare tactics.

duh...I think it was the Republicans, with their.... plan... of dismantling America that really scared a lot of folks.

...that was a very Orwellian comment. funny as all get out, too.

That should have read: "The facts are that the Ryan plan would have drastically altered Medicare."

My bad.

Excuse me, but YOU should be ashamed of yourself for coming here and acting like an asno.

The country is recovering from 8 years of disaster brought to us by the GOP.

Chrysler just paid back its bailout and has hired 4,000 people. A few months ago GM posted its best profits since 2004. GM saved thousands and thousands of jobs.

Mr. Obama has added more jobs to the economy in 2 years than did George W. Bush in 8.

You don't like Mr. Obama.

Why do you come here and deposit snark and taunts? If you have something intelligent to argue, do so.

Otherwise you're nothing but a disruptive troll.

Sue,

I actually came here to ask if you or others here had read this.

I get so angry when these trolls disrupt a thread like this anonymous did.

They add nothing to the discussion and their inane remarks--Spanish or otherwise--only prove that they are in extreme distress over Mr. Obama's successes.

Sue said...

hmmm I can't believe SPAM ddn't catch that! Funny how feed-jit says NY has been lurking!

thanks for the Palin link, I'll read it today! (with my vomit bag!)

Shaw Kenawe said...

Sue,

Apparently, I've po'd "tha malcontent" again. He's produced a number of blog posts railing against me and what I choose to write on my own blog. And he's done it again.

He's called me all manner of vile names--including suggesting that I'm mentally ill. (This was a tactic the Communists used to destroy their enemies--mal's really good at it.)

He doesn't produce one shred of evidence to prove that I've posted anything incorrect. What makes him and other TPers so angry is that we liberals point out the truth about their "heroes" and it stings them to their core--so they attack the messenger.

He is emblematic of the entire Tea Party movement: Angry, ill-informed, with feelings of victimization, and rotten judgement in politicians.

Shaw, welcome to the Mal despises us club... wear it as a badge of honor, i do...

Did you, or Sue really think Palin could not run? I am not sure her ego could prevent it...

On the GM bailout, now today, Mitt is claiming credit for the idea, even though there is ample evidence in print and video that he was arguing against it...

Sue said...

Dave I don't know how you patiently comment at Mals hideous blog of hate and lies! You have a strong stomach! lol

you just reminded me I have to read Shaws link!

I checked it out Shaw...he sure sounds like a 12 yr old doesn't he? Most Obama haters do though!

Sue, Dave is an honorable man. He has more patience and milk of human kindness in his veins than do I. He's tried to reason with mal to no avail. "tha malcontent" has stated that he hates Mr. Obama, so anything he writes on his blog has to be measured against that statement.

I give Dave huge props for his persistence in being courteous and reasonable with people who are neither.

Bless him.

Shaw Kenawe said...

"The Rushpubliscums are screaming about how this election means "nothing."--JR

This is nonsense, since we all know that NY-26 was solidly GOP.

Here's what the Rachel Maddow blog had to say about it:

"As the Republican Party went to bed last night, the talk was that the loss in NY-26 wasn't a big predictor, didn't augur anything, whistle-whistle past the graveyard. "If special elections were an early warning system, they sure failed to alert the Democrats of the political tsunami that flooded their ranks in 2010," Republican Congressional Committee chair Pete Sessions wrote.

By morning, you could see signs that Republicans might be rethinking this one. Congressman Paul Ryan, whose budget proposal would end Medicare as we know it, said that Medicare certainly played a role in Democrat Kathy Hochul's win over Republican Jane Corwin. Mr. Ryan predicted that Democratic attacks would ultimately fail. "I personally don't think it will work," he told MSNBC. As the author of the Medicare plan, Congressman Ryan has a very vested interest in seeing it work over time, or at least on insisting that it will work until the Republican Party finishes backing away from it.

Closer to home, New York Congressman Peter T. King, a Republican, sounded more ready to sort things out. "It's a Republican district with a solid Republican candidate," Mr. King told the New York Times. "What went wrong? We definitely have to determine the extent to which the Medicare issue hurt us."

PS. Sue, mal deleted the hateful blog post he wrote about me. Even he was ashamed about how petty and stupid it made him look. LOL!

Whoever "anonymous" is, s/he cut and pasted the report on the stimulus package from the internet without attribution.

I wonder if anonymous could tell us in his/her own words what he/she would have done to prevent the financial disaster that was occuring on Feb. 17, 2009, when Mr. Obama signed the SP--less than one month into his presidency.

The CBO report also reported this:

"...the CBO estimated that in the fourth quarter of 2010 there were somewhere between 1.3 million and 3.5 million people who were then employed who would not have been had the stimulus not been enacted. “CBO estimates,” says the report, “that ARRA’s policies had the following effects in the fourth quarter of calendar year 2010: … Increased the number of people employed by between 1.3 million and 3.5 million.”

Another report in "The Daily Caller" today reported this:

"CBO based its estimate on macroeconomic modelling, saying the jobs “created or saved” reports by recipients of stimulus dollars could not provide a full picture of the economic impact."

Meanwhile our little anonymous critic is yelping about the $43 billion overrun while blissfully ignoring what contributed to our financial disasters:

George W. Bush's 8 years in office brought us this:

The Bush Medicare prescription drug program cost $272 billion.

The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan cost $1.26 trillion through 2011.

Bush’s tax cuts cost $1.5 trillion.

I wonder if "anonymous" and his/her poodle, lisa, ran around rightwing blogs whining about those miserable numbers.

PS. lisa, I noticed how you eagerly chimed in on mal's bashing fest against me on his blog the other day, which he deleted.

That says mountains about your character--hint: it isn't flattering.

Another Lisa false fact!

Dave Miller said...

Lisa, you know nothing about facts. In your own words, you have said you use false facts.

That statement alone is enough to call every single one of your comments on your blog, here, on Mal's blog, and everywhere else into question until you explain what you meant by it.

Anon, speaking of facts, for some reason I don;t recall any GOP party members, arch conservatives, or extremists highlighting the fact that over $300 billion of the presidents stimulus plan was tax breaks, tax cuts, and tax credits.

If you believe this to be a bad investment in the American people, can I assume you also stood against the GOP plan, and will stand against future GOP plans to cut taxes to the top tier of US wage earners?

Dave Miller said...

Lisa, even if Mal's post was from February, you still never answered the question...

How is Shaw stating a fact, that Sarah Palin could not, or would not, answer a question about what she reads, blaming her for anything?

isn't it just pointing out her inability to answer a simple question?

Where's the blame?

Kathy Hochul not only opposed Ryan's plan for Medicare, but she also opposed the tax cuts for corporations and the wealth that are included in Ryan's plan. The majority of people support increasing taxes on the wealth. I think both Medicare and taxes are reasons for Hochul's victory.

But, for some strange reason, the big corporate-owned and wealthy-run media is silent on the tax increases!

Just to point out the utter idiocy of that statement, lisa, I will direct you to the "in transit" question Joe the Plumber asked Mr. Obama, the candidate while he was shaking hands on a line.

Have you forgotten how the rightwingers blasted his answer all over the internet, using it as "evidence" that Mr. Obama wanted to turn this country into Stalingrad?

Sarah Palin couldn't answer a softball question about what newspapers she reads. You have to be some kind of stupid not to be able to even fake that one.

Sue said...

Dave, seriously, how does one politely tell a troll to get the fuck off their blog and never return? Have you ever encountered such an idiot as lisa? Oh wait, you have Mal!! LOL.

Everyone, Please Please don't talk to her here because I'm deleting her no matter what the conversation is about. Paul Ryan isn't changing course or saying "oh forgetaboutit". He is continuing to defend his plan to kill Medicare. In fact, in a rare candid moment, he recently admitted the truth about his plan (that is is BAD for the majority of Americans).

Visit my blog for the exclusive scoop. I can guarantee that you will NOT see this story reported elsewhere.

Shaw Kenawe said...

Sue,

Comment modification will get rid of the troll. I had an infestation last night and that seemed to do the trick.

Mary Mayhem said...

Sue, I had to switch to a third party commenting system just to be able to block certain IP's and email addresses, primarily Mal, and the accompanying trolls he sent to my personal, not even very political at all, blog. They were leaving disgusting comments about my child on blogs I have written with with nothing but pictures. They are beyond disdain. But now I can track every IP. Most of these fools aren't using a proxy (or think a proxy is some kind of candy) and have non-portable dynamic IPs, which allows me to know who is anonymously (not-so-much) posting....and then block them by IP or even a range of IPs for their neighborhood.

Sue said...

I hate modification but guess I have to for now.

Mary I'd love to know the details, could you message me on FB?

Flying Junior said...

The old Haloscan used to allow banning commenters. I got banned from Tennessee Guerilla Women once. It banned my ISP address. I have no idea if Echo has this feature or not, since the mighty Egalia unbanned me when I promised never to comment as Muttonhead911 ever again. Apparently, Wordpress has a commenter banning feature as well.

Dervish Z Sanders said...

Comment modification or moderation? I'm pretty sure Blogger does not allow comments to be modified. Anyway I don't like it. Will my comment be approved or rejected?

When I notice that a blogger has enabled moderation I usually say "forget it... why should I bother taking the time to compose a reply if it's going to be rejected?".

I just made that mistake and wasted my time reading and responding to two posts on Rational Nation's blog. He said his only rule was "no profanity"...

One comment he published (I said I agreed with someone he was ridiculing, so no surprise there). With the other one I was mildly critical of him... that one was NOT published.

Sue said...

ut oh! Moderation LOL! w, you silly, I would never delete a comment from you! You either FJ even if you called yourself Muttonhead!

w, RN deleted a comment from me and I never went back. He denies doing it but it's the truth. AND it had NO profanity.

Mary Mayhem said...

Blogger won't allow you to block anything, but you can install a third party client widget, like disqus, for just your comments, and then you can block domains, ips and emails...and do a bunch of other things....Word press allows you to block ips and all that....there are trade-offs with each....I had to install disqus. I just can't have people talking sexually about my kid...I might pull a Bill Cosby in Ghost Dad and go through the cables and dsl wires and choke a mofo....Certain things DO bother me and are completely unacceptable.

Sue said...

Mary would you say it was a fair statement to say Mal and his sicko conservative ilk are making crude rude comments about your child??

Sue said...

any blogger who chooses to friend Malcontent, has him on your bloglist and you follow his blog, you are not welcome here!

Mary Mayhem said...

It wasn't Mal--well, I don't think it was, It might have been, well he did tell me to "eat shit" anonymously, among other things, but I blocked him, but it had to be one of the other crazies from his and Lisa's blog that post crap about my child...It was another crazy that is all over their blog, Radical Redneck, that went and posted links to my blog on all the caustic sites he follows to get them to attack me I guess, some sort of "call to action"....I looked in my stats, and there was a million referrals from 2 wing-nut sites. "Nicedoggie.net" (which is a rather large site, so I couldn't find exactly in what context and where my site was linked) and this one take a stand against liberals --I went to the second link here...and you can see what he post...But anyway, the comments about my child came minutes after this idiot post a link to my site on this "take a stand against liberals" site.

If capitalism is so great, why are more children living in poverty in the US than in any other rich country except Mexico?

Sue said...

It's a fact Jerry, the GOP doesn't care about children. Isn't it weird, they started out as children, hopefully fed and cared for by their parent or parents, but as adults all that matters to them is the fetus..after it's born it's on its own
