The latest poll of Republicans in Florida has Gingrich nine points ahead of Romney. I really think he could get the nomination.
Teabaggerdom is a movement of spite and bile and hatred, and the Christian Right is a morass of hypocrisy -- and the plastic financial vampire just can't embody and express those traits as well as the venomous toad can.
I read a few Republican sites and the sane Republicans are approaching panic about this. They know Gingrich as the nominee could mean Obama winning in a 40-state landslide. I've even seen some Republicans saying they'll vote for Obama if Gingrich is the nominee.
The party of hate and self-delusion is destroying itself, and Gingrich is its appropriate suicide weapon.
It is astonishing to hear people in the GOP claim that how Gingrich behaved in the past has no bearing on him now. I read this jaw-dropping hypocrisy on rightwing blogs, the same blogs that keep hammering away at Mr. Obama's past associations in Chicago, and even the fact that he comes from Chicago.
The holier-than-thou Xtianists are ready to embrace Gingrich, his sordid past, and worst of all, his slash and burn politics of destructions.

The GOP are a bunch of fools if they believe they'll regain the White House with a man whose favorability rating on a good day is 30%.
There's a right-wing blogger I know who thinks the LSM and President Obama's team are panicked after Newt's win in the SC primary. Puhleeze! It's the GOP establishment who are shaking in their boots because they know Newt winning the nomination will be a disaster for them.
