They are irrelevent!! If you think for one minute these rethugs are voting NO because they care about you, or they care about deficit numbers, you are mistaken. God I love your blog Sue. I've tried to be restrained with my attacks since adopting a kinder, gentler blog persona. It gives me pleasure to read you calling the bastards "fuckers." It also makes me wonder why I don't just start calling the fuckers "fuckers" again because I got twice as much traffic when I was calling the fuckers "fuckers."

Well, fuck it. And fuck those deluded right wing fools also.

Frodo couldn't help but think of Sue in her flannel nighties, and Lisa in her cage, as the vote came in. Tomorrow Frodo will write about the best health care systems in the world, and give reasons why the US of A is not anywhere among the top, and why one whole country turned away from our present system as "inhumane." Lisa's bowels will explode.

Sure is a lot of fuckin' going on here. They do care about destroying Obama but they also care about the PAC money they get from pharmaceuticals and the insurance companies.

Lisa, do some research for a change. Review health care in England, Switzerland, Germany, Japan and Taiwan - all capitalistic countries. Please don't come back until you've don't it. You can find the info by googling England health care, etc.
Or, if you really want to be daring, you can go to my blog which was based on a PBS program called Frontline.

I'm sure 99% of the folks who visit your blog know that the World Health Org. ranks the U.S., the richest nation in the world,
37th in health care. Of course we also know that WHO is fronted by commies.

On a more serious note. I think people who return over and over to a blog where they agree with absolutely nothing that is said have some kind of problem. Do they want to play martyr and victim?
Do they enjoy being abused and violated? Are they happiest when angry? There has to be something mental going on. Personally, I wouldn't feel real good at the thought of something I said pushing someone over the edge. Maybe just not responding would be a better way to deal with these people. Just MHO.

Has it occurred to no one that perhaps the conservatives can't agree with the whole concept of the government interfering with the health care of private citizens?

Would any democrats have voted "yes" on any republican led legislation to stop all abortions? And why wouldn't they have voted yes? Easy question. Because they honestly feel that it is none of the government's business what women do with their own bodies...right?? It is the same thing exactly. Why SHOULD the government be able to control any part of a private citizen's health care? Answer...it SHOULDN'T.

Sue said...

Linda this is not a government takeover of HC. If you could just take down your wall of hate and read up on the bill you would see for your self it's a good bill. I find it repulsive republicans vote no when their constituents want this reform. What does that tell you about your party? Remember your parties reaction to SS? It all comes down to trust, you don't think dems are telling the truth about the bill, you don't believe it will strengthen SS, you don't believe it will reduce the deficit, you think illegals will partake etc. I guess if dems get their way and the bill on the presidents desk stays intact, then time will tell because thats the only way you will be swayed. BTW, did you fear Clintons economic policies? Did you prosper along with the rest of the country? Did you fear Bushs economic policies?

JoeBama "Truth 101" Kelly said...

Sorry to pay attention to Linda but as a true Patriot and lover of America, I must reveal to her the biggest republican lie of them all to her.

Linda asks: "Would any democrats have voted "yes" on any republican led legislation to stop all abortions?"

You see Linda. This is exactly why whenever an abortion debate comes up, some dumbass, moral majority, holier than thou republican brings up a ban all abortion bill. First of all, it panders to a big part of their base which includes the religous zealots. Secondly, they know full well a total ban would never pass Congress or the courts because of the unreasonable burden.

Third of all, and most importantly to the republicans, they even more than any pro choice Democrat understand that if abortion were outlawed, they would lose their most importnat wedge issue that does keep their base in line. Without abortion to blind deluded. single issue fools, none of the rest of the republican agenda of making government work for only the wealthiest and ignore the rest would be possible.

You can't trust these "fuckers" as Sue calls them, on anything. There is always a sinister reason behind everything they stand for and do.

Now God bless you and I promise that I will never have an abortion so you can support me now Linda.

Sue said...

thanks Truth! I guess conservatives want to go back to the days of back alley abortions. And yes thats what a ban would do. It's their platform and they're stickin' to it! I care about the unborn just like the rest of us, but I also care about the BORN, which conservatives forget about in their arguments.

Jerry Critter said...

Linda,
Just what part of health care does this bill take control off? It looks like it will mandate that everyone have insurance, but that's not a takeover. Most people will have private insurance. It puts some additional controls on what health insurance companies can do, but that is not a takeover. There will probably be a public insurance option, but it will not be available to everyone and it will just do what private insurance companies already do, and that is not a takeover. At best it is competition.

So, where is the takeover? What is it taking over? And who it is taking control from?

Leslie Parsley said...

So many of these people you see in pictures and on TV who are protesting health care reform are abviously old enough to be on SS and receiving Medicare - a very good government run program. If they feel so strongly about not having government interference, they should drop their SS and Medicare.

Salon may tilt to the left but Camille Paglia is a bit of a rennegade and not wholly respected by most liberals.

Banning abortions would of course force women to return to the back alleys - that is, all except those wealthy enough to go out of the country. Wonder who that might be?
It's not okay to have an abortion but it is okay to exploit your children in front of the whole world and never be home with them.

The weird thing about these pro-lifers is that they would be the last to adopt a baby of mixed ethnic or racial origins because the Bible tells them not to co-mingle.

And why do right-wingers, not conservatives, always hide behind a book that was written by many different people at the end of BC and the beginning of AD? I guess myths are easier to swallow than facts.

My favorite expression used to be "far fucking out." And that's just what I'd say to you Truth 101 should you get into the position of needing an abortion. It'd be kind of nice if women didn't always have to do the labor around here.

JoeBama "Truth 101" Kelly said...

Lisa: Jerry the botom line is Universal Healthcare Healthcare. Haven't you been listening to Obama?

Universal healthcare (or even Universal Healthcare Healthcare) doesn't mean a government take-over. It merely means all citizens would have coverage, as is the case already in all other developed nations. Even if we eventually achieve that in the US (which the current bills in Congress don't quite do), we would undoubtedly have a mixed system of public and private insurance, as most of those other countries have. Single-payer has never attracted much support, from politicians or doctors.

Linda: It is the same thing exactly. Why SHOULD the government be able to control any part of a private citizen's health care? Answer...it SHOULDN'T.

I think your analogy with abortion misses the point. Liberals oppose anti-abortion laws as an infringement on individual freedom. Many (not all) Republicans oppose health insurance reform simply because it's one of Obama's signature issues and they want to undermine him regardless of the merits of the legislation itself. They have been pretty open about this. One Republican Senator spoke of using the defeat of reform to inflict Obama's "Waterloo". Hence Sue's "party of no" epithet. These Republicans would probably be voting against any major initiative identified with Obama, for the same reason, regardless of its merits.

There's also the issue of the huge amounts of money the insurance companies have been giving to legislators to vote against reform and protect their profits. The defense of abortion rights hasn't involved anything like that kind of flagrant corruption.

Infidel753 said...

Leslie Parsley: Has anyone besides me ever wondered why so many of the righteous right cannot write or speak grammatical English - from the former president on down? Forget spelling.

Clarity and precision of language are strongly linked with clarity and precision of thought, especially since complex thinking tends to be done in language (silent language within the brain, but language nevertheless).

I suspect that people skilled at clarity and precision of thought are statistically less likely to remain identified with the right wing as presently constituted.

Universal,Single Payer,Nationalized all means the same thing Government takeover of Health care.
It's like a turd, you can polish it up but it will always stink.

I guess I know the president better than you. He wants socialized medicine.

Tao Dao Man said...

What is wrong with SOCIALIZED medicine? Every industrialized country in the world has it, except America. We spend more money on health care than those countries and get less for it. Their standards of living are higher than ours. Our current system is on the bottom compared to all others in every aspect. Privatized health care is a failure. Health care belongs on Main St. not Wall St.

Lisa said...

From what I have been told alot is wrong with socialized medicine.
The only 5 people I know from Canada th UK Germany and Japan all say the same thing. Long waits and rationing. And you may not pay in premiums or copays but you "do" pay alot.

Infidel753 said...

Universal, Single Payer, Nationalized all means the same thing

No, they don't. You're using the English language incorrectly. Thanks for demonstrating my point about precision of thinking.

Lisa said...

Okay so I am wrong. Universal/Single Payer is the same.

Maybe not government run but still can be rationed at government discretion.
If they want to ave money they should just cover those who need it. I am sure people would prefer that than a whole over sweeping of a system that 80% of people are happy with.

Jerry Critter said...

Oh Lisa. There you go again being "sarcastic".

Sue said...

Universal health care is health care coverage for all eligible residents of a political region and often covers medical, dental and mental health care. Typically, costs are borne in the majority by publicly-funded programs.
Universal health care is implemented in all industrialized countries, with the exception of the United States. It is also provided in many developing countries.

Sue said...

Single-payer health care is a public service financing the delivery of near-universal or universal health care to a given population as defined by age, citizenship, residency, or any other demographic.

Single-payer health insurance collects all medical fees and then pays for all services through a single government (or government-related) source. In wealthy nations, this kind of publicly-managed health insurance is typically extended to all citizens and legal residents.

Infidel753 said...

Universal/Single Payer is the same.

Wrong. Universal coverage could be accomplished by a method other than single payer -- giving all citizens vouchers to buy private insurance, for example. Conversely it's possible to imagine a single-payer system that didn't provide universal coverage. They don't mean the same thing. Not even close. You don't know what you're talking about.

Infidel753 said...

This inability to differentiate distinct concepts is the same sort of mind-set that enables them to call Obama a Communist, a socialist, and a Hitler all at the same time. "All things that I don't like are the same thing." Fuzzy thinking.

Lisa said...

I never called Obama a communist. There is no need to generalize.
As far as a single payer Obama is in favor of that.

"Single-payer health insurance collects all medical fees and then pays for all services through a single government (or government-related) source. In wealthy nations, this kind of publicly-managed health insurance is typically extended to all citizens and legal residents."

And when all the illegals get amnesty wil it be safe to say "LIAR"?

Tao Dao Man said...

Seek professional help ! ! I am sure your private insurance covers it. You will need it.

Infidel753 said...

I never called Obama a communist.

Lots of teabaggers have. I was speaking of teabaggerdom in general, hence the locution "enables them to call him".

And when all the illegals get amnesty

You're forgetting it was Bush who tried to do that in 2007. We stopped him cold then, and we'll stop Obama cold if he tries it.

Lisa said...

Bush wanted a guest worker program.Besides he was trying to be politically correct with the left's constant accusations of racism. Believe me you won't try and stop Obama when he legalizes them. It's already in the works aka La Raza. Besides you agree with all of his policies from what I have been reading.

Lisa said...

Oh and lots of thm didn't,maybe some but they also called Bush Hitler and much worse.
At least Obama has the media up his ass.

Infidel753 said...

Bush wanted a guest worker program.

He wanted a "path to citizenship" and to let illegal aliens stay in the US legally. Any policy which lets illegal aliens stay in the US legally is an amnesty, regardless of what else it does.

Believe me, we will stop Obama if he tries to do the same thing. Just watch us. All illegal aliens must leave this country, period. Anything less is a betrayal of American sovereignty and of the American working class. I don't care which party tries it.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I certainly don't support all of Obama's policies. I don't think Sue does either, based on the blog title.

Lisa said...

Well so far no matter what Obama has propoed she seems to be on board. From increasing the deficit,to forced Unionization, cap and trade ,unless I missed something.
Maybe she can enlighten us. Sue?

Sue said...

lisa the cap and trade line is so boring, please stop talking about it! There are things President Obama has done that do not please me. Some are cabinet choices, and some are policy choices. In fact I was not on the very early bandwagon, I was a Hillary supporter. But I don't turn my back on my party, I give Obama the chance to prove himself and that will take longer than one year with all the mess he inherited. Yes sometimes I get frustrated with his slow, soft, kind demeaner and I scream, Mr. President are you listening to US, the progressives!!

Lisa said...

He took a recession and it's turning it intointo a depresision.....on purpose!

Infidel753 said...

He took a recession and it's turning it intointo a depresision.....on purpose!

Wrong. A recession is defined as two or more calendar quarters of negative economic growth, and ends when positive growth resumes. The economy grew in Q3 of 2009, therefore the recession is over. It is not turning into a depression.

Unemployment is still bad -- job recovery usually lags the end of a recession, and it will be slower than usual this time because the consumer-debt overhang is inhibiting consumer spending -- but most serious economists expect employment to recover starting in 2010. There is not going to be a depression.

If the Democrats had not enacted the stimulus plan, on the other hand, it's very likely that the Bush recession would have deepened into a depression.

Lisa said...

I know just like the all those jobs that were created by the stimulus.
Oh or saved.
