Can Mitt Romney, as POTUS and Cult Leader, actually usher in the second coming of Christ????

Michael Moody, BYU classmate of Romney's..“We were taught that America is the Promised Land,” he said in an interview. ”The Mormons are the Chosen People. And the time is now for a Mormon leader to usher in the second coming of Christ and install the political Kingdom of God in Washington, D.C.”

So with that said, Willard Mitt Romney's candidacy is a plan to fulfill a destiny which the church calls pre-existence..(((shudder)))))

No wonder Mitt Romney doesn't want to talk about his religion! His church plans for a government take over.  Mitt Romney views the American presidency as a theological office. The Mormons believe he is the man who will lead them into the White House and fulfill the prophecies of the LSD, I mean LDS church founder, Joseph Smith Jr.  Will OUR White House be transformed into a Temple?? eck....bleck...ewwwwww....

Have you read about the White Horse Prophesy? It's a belief ingrained in Mormon culture and passed down through generations by church leaders that the day would come when the U.S. Constitution would “hang like a thread as fine as a silk fiber” and the Mormon priesthood would save it. Holy shit, these people believe capturing the presidency is part of the churches mission. A Mormon leader would set in order the house of God..... now I know why Romney avoids answering questions about his cult...he even said in '08 it was unfair to bring up the White Horse Prophesy, saying it was rejected by every church leader and has nothing to do with anything...yea RIGHT!!!! Like we're gonna believe that! Several prominent Mormons have alluded to the apocalyptic prophesy, Glenn Beck is one of them! (((shudder)))...

Willard Romney has been groomed since birth to be POTUS. When he was in school he belonged to the Cougar Club, they held monthly “Fireside testimonies” — Sacrament meetings at which each member testified to his belief that he lived in Heaven before being born on Earth, that he became mortal in order to usher in the latter days, and that he recognized Joseph Smith as the prophet, the Book of Mormon as the word of God, and the Mormon church as the one true faith. Why isn't the media talking about the real Mitt Romney, Mormon? Do you think this is an important part of who he is? The media thought President Obama's religion was important enough to focus on, so when is it Mittens turn?

Don't let this dorky, out of touch, Mom jeans wearing millionaire fool you! His religion is absolutely center to his existence. His Mormon beliefs should scare evangelicals, but it looks like they are embracing their candidate. Is it their hate for Barack Obama that is clouding their judgment?  Will they really vote for this man? Remember the words of Michele Bachmann..."I hope they do an in depth analysis" I hope the Christians look at the whole man, not just his political side.

I posted about Mormons in the past, you can read it here.    Actually this was a second post because the first one stirred up so much emotion and confusion, so much so I deleted it! (wish I hadn't done that!) I lost a few friends, offended some, was called a bigot by others, but this is who Mitt Romney is. I don't see Mitt the millionaire, I see Mitt the Mormon who wants to bring on the Rapture, or is it the Apocalypse...I get them confused.  If Mitt doesn't want to talk about his magic underwear, the Temples, the plan to install the political Kingdom of God in DC, well then I will!  I'm convinced the man and his religion are dangerous, my opinions, my thoughts....

Actually his beliefs are not so much different from other evangelicals. Mormons just provide more details, but they all think they are the chosen people and are the ones who will be saved. The ends are the same. Just the means vary a little.

That really is true Jerry, Hmmmm, made me think...

Some differences are Joseph Smith, and the magic underwear.

What is it about Mormons then that scares the evangelicals? Is it because they say THEY are the chosen ones? Or just the whole background of how the Mormon church came to be?

also I've never heard this "political Kingdom of God in DC" line come from evangelicals, or do I just not hear them when they speak?

I seriously doubt it, but I am hopeful he can usher in some fiscal and economic sanity.

You didn't lose me, sweetheart!

Keep the non-faith!

Er, I mean real faith . . . in democracy and our country's separation of church and state.

Love ya,

S

P.S. And Mitters is nobody's savior except for the very wealthy.

And he's just one more candidate in a long line of wealth amalgamaters for those at the top.

You can take this to the bank.

The reason that fundies are supposed to consider Mormonism a dangerous cult is because by making up their own New World Testament, they have perverted the Living Word of God, thusly blaspheming against the Holy Spirit, a mortal sin. God's heavenly kingdom on earth has nothing to do with political power or the 1,000 years of just rule that Jehovah's Witnesses are waiting for. The kingdom of God on earth is nothing more than the body of priest-believers, His saints, living in harmony, being the hands and feet of God and fulfilling His promise and calling.

The fact that republicans are willing to overlook blasphemy and welcome a Mormon as one of their own speaks to the weakness of their faith and personal integrity. The Bible is the Living Word of God. True Christians don't take this lightly.

Silverfiddle,

I'm glad that you doubt Romney's ability to set things right. I would hope that you don't consider dismantling or harming public education in any way to subsidize the private education of rich kids at taxpayer expense is fiscal sanity in any way, shape or form.
