Obama's a good man and decent President (certainly better than his predecessor), Sue. But his Bush-lite militarism (drones in Pakistan, surge in Afghanistan, WHATEVER in Libya) is something that may in fact be weakening the country. a) It's draining the treasury. b) It's probably creating far more terrorists than it's killing. And c) that whole inconvenient little truth about the body bags. The smiles, in my opinion here, are optional.
What's that got to do with this funny little clip? Even in the worst of times it doesn't hurt to laugh.
I don't care what anyone says, he is definitely the "coolest" Prez...smooth...This is HILARIOUS!! Come on now...I almost bought an IPAD but opted for a tiny macbook, (I now own 2 macs, 4 computers total), if I have that much, as broke as I am, the Prez definitely has an IPAD, He probably has a samsung tablet too, and a Nook color...jealous...
Agree Will,he's a decent guy. As to how much better than his predecessor, history will be the ultimate judge.
As to the coolest Mary, all we need is an effective and consistent President. Cool is not really all that important. As Will said it's optional.
Oh well..whateveah...
Mary I thought it was cute too, made me smile! I'm a one computer girl...I hate electronics. I guess its my age. I've never texted or tweeted! LOL
Leslie we do need to smile, the GOP gives us enough grief every single day. Smiling, laughing, it's what keeps us sane :-)
Will don't ya think there is alot more to being a president than we are privy to? I'm not gonna compare apples to oranges with Obama and Bush. This is a HUGE planet we live on, the president has a HUGE job, we don't know his comings and goings. Name me one president who was not involved in some sort of military conflict.
RN, glad you thought the clip was COOL.
Speaking of funny, watch this biting humor from Weiner.

I love this little exchange Sue! I wouldn't be texting if it wasn't for my kids, now I twitter, facebook and blog all from my phone.
In this day and age asking the (still in his 40's) Pres if he had a computer is hysterical! Now if John McCain had won, that would have been a valid question. George Bush didn't have a computer did he?
I LOVE Anthony Weiner, tnlib. Thanks for posting the clip, I hadn't seen the whole thing...House Mouse and Senate Mouse, that one is for the ages! I told my husband last night, if I ever disappear he will find me living in Anthony Weiner's district!
Sue, we gave Bush the benefit of the doubt (initially, I'm saying). How'd that work out for us?......Getting involved in the middle of a civil war (especially one in which both sides are scrimy and are our national interests are not at risk) is moronic. It doesn't matter if the President who's doing it is a cool Democrat or a square Republican.
But Will don't you see the difference? Bush INVADED Iraq to oust Saddam for NO REASON whatsoever. Well except for getting him for his Daddy. I don't care about the whole Senate agreement on WMD's, that's been debated. If Obama did not send help for the Libyan people then he would have been called an incompetent pussy by the Right. They are such lying hypocrites. When have they ever backed away from a military conflict? We are patriots, we are the USA, we help when we are asked, they say. Right??
Leslie I saw Weiner and it is too funny! The guy is great and I love he is on our side.
Mary thats funny, I'd love to be in his district too!
My sister is addicted to texting and I make fun of her all the time, so does her teenage daughter!
Sue, Saddam Hussein committed (or at least attempted to) genocide on the Kurds. He slaughtered far more people than this Khaddafy schmuck. And I was against toppling him!! And, besides, this so-called resistance movement has apparently been infiltrated by Al Qaeda. Sue, we armed the Taliban back in the 80s. Let's maybe try to learn from our previous mistakes.
This is one of those rare occasions when I wish that Biden had been on the top of the ticket.
I'm afraid my posted video takes a shot at Obama.
Yeah, that was pretty funny, and this President doesn't give me a reason to laugh very often.
Altruism breeds more altruism. All in the name of humanitarianism. Without regard to our nations rational self interests.
We just keep making the same irrational mistakes over and over again.
It gets so tiring.
