Sue ~ While you were busy salivating over those abs, I DID find some news today.

http://biggovernment.com/2009/12/07/was-democrats-health-care-strategy-written-in-federal-prison/

The progressive agenda spelled out so completely...read it Patriots and get to work to defeat them. Andrew Breitbart has hit the nail on the head.

For those who don't want to look it up:

•“We must create a national consensus that health care is a right, not a commodity; and that government must guarantee that right.”
•“We must create a national consensus that the health care system is in crisis.”
•“Our messaging program over the next two years should focus heavily on reducing the credibility of the health insurance industry and focusing on the failure of private health insurance.”
•“We need to systematically forge relationships with large sectors of the business/employer community.”
•“We need to convince political leaders that they owe their elections, at least in part, to the groundswell of support of [sic] universal health care, and that they face political peril if they fail to deliver on universal health care in 2009.”
•“We need not agree in advance on the components of a plan, but we must foster a process that can ultimately yield consensus.”
•“Over the next two years, we must design and organize a massive national field program.”
•“We must focus especially on the mobilization of the labor movement and the faith community.”
•“We must systematically leverage the connections and resources of a massive array of institutions and organizations of all types.”
•“To be successful, we must put in place commitments for hundreds of millions of dollars to be used to finance paid communications and mobilization once the battle is joined.”
Creamer adds: “To win we must not just generate understanding, but emotion—fear, revulsion, anger, disgust.”

Sue, have you been duped by the left, or are you part of the deception being foisted onto the American people? These felons and socialists want to destroy our way of life. Educate yourself, Americans, and get to work to defeat those bent upon our destruction or enslavement.

Obama was no coincidence...it was a plan.

Linda this sounds just like the conservatives talking points, LOL! Girl you really must stop watching Beck. Did you see his ratings are falling? Did you hear Aetna is expected to drop 600,00 plus raise rates?
Don't be so afraid of the pussy dems, the bill is falling apart and they can't stand up to a few obstructionists. So, see, your little plot is totally fabricated and only people from the fringe will think Obama is here to doom America and dupe us. There is a bit of good news tho, some might try and bring enrollement into Medicare down to age 55. Wouldn't that be awesome! You guys love Medicare dontcha? Of course that still leaves out millions of uninsured that you really don't care about, afterall all you really care about is big Ins. and their profits. Having affordable health INS. is a RIGHT!! I say AFFORDABLE because we want to pay our premiums, we don't want handouts and freebys. You should start pointing out how the INs Cos. are starting to raise rates, and to think they care about you, HA, thats a crock of bullshit...

"To win we must not just generate understanding, but emotion—fear, revulsion, anger, disgust.”

Yes Linda I agree these are fear tactics that have been used for political gain throughout history.
They are doing it with health care and they are doing it with cap and trade and people either know it and like the idea of having government take care of them so they don't have to work hard or they think it will be good until they are victims of it or they really don't know because they aren't paying attention.
This isn't the first time societies have been duped into submission and no Sue it's not a right wing talking point,it's an American talking point. You know what they say be careful what you wish for.

Sue said...

it's a rightwing talking point beyond ad nauseum, liberals are lazy and want government to take care of them so they don't have to work! Its the biggest fuckin lie told by righties and I for one am sick of hearing it and will not hear it anymore on my blog!! Liberals, democrats, lefties, are the hard working middleclass, working their asses off for little, and I might add, WITHOUT COMPLAINING!!!

Leslie Parsley said...

Sue: it's a pain in the old gazoo, but can't you set up moderated comments, so we don't have to listen to these trolls - or should we just scroll down and ignore their nonsense?

Sue said...

please just ignore them leslie. I don't like moderation unless its because of personal attacks, but when lisa calls libs lazy and only wanting to be taken care of by government then I guess I should consider that a personal attack! What do people like lisa think of billion dollar corporations asking for bailouts, holding out their lying, stealing hands, asking for more of our hard earned money!

Frodo, Beach Boy Wannabe, said...

So, your internet service was down? In the past century me thinks it would've had something to do with a headache. Please note that only Frodo, among all the male correspondents herein, dared to face off with Lenny(when ya got it, flaunt it).

Lisa said...

Sue I didn't call you lazy but yes there are many people who would prefer to sit on their duffs and have government take care of them.
Maybe you don't know any of those people but I have come across quite a few in my days.

Leslie Parsley said...

Sue, I know, I know. Used to moderate and it took too much housekeeping or I'd forget to check and comments could sit there for days! But since she insists on showing her butt here all the time, she's fair game.

Having said that ; ), stats show that there's a much higher percentage of white people on welfare than blacks. I know many recipients who sit around on their duffs and criticize the government.

Lisa said...

Sue I do have a problem with the government giving our hard earned money to corporations .Sounds like you are more upset that they asked for it rather than the fact that the government gave it to them?
But then again government contributed to much of it due to the FDIC backed loans but you want more government involvement so they can take even more of our hard earned money like Zelaya did in Honduras(who Obama supports by the way) and what Castro(who the liberal Hollywood loves) and Chavez( Bill Ayers Buddy). Is that the way you want to live at the mercy of the government? A bankrupt government no less.

Lisa said...

Leslie who said anything about race?

Oh yeah you did.

Seems like the banks are anteing up and the Muslim is going to use the freed up funds for job stimulation.

Lisa said...

Oh isn't he wonderful.
He should have done that months ago with the 70 percent he didn't spend yet and the 350 billion Bush left for him.
But I am sure they are holding off until the 2010 elections to spend that money.

Sue ~ I don't know how you could possibly think that my post sounded like republican talking points from Beck...the entire post was a quote directly from Robert Creamer's book. Oh, yeah, I guess it could sound like republican talking points since what they do mostly is to show actual video or post direct quotes from the libs to prove what their agenda is! Good point.

I've seen video of Barack Obama saying the very things advocated in Creamer's book. You tell me who is guilty of talking points.

The Wool Cupboard said...

Sue ~ What makes you think that I love Medicare? It is an entitlement program much like the public option in the health care bill. I think that you will find that most conservatives are not fans of Medicare, but it is here now and would be difficult to stop.

I'm for as little involvement from the government as is humanly possible. Government involvement means waste, fraud, extra expense, and mismanagement. No government plan ever succeeds in the ways promised by politicians. When will we wise up and stop letting the politicians take our hard earned money and spend it on pointless programs that benefit very few but cost waaaay too much???? There are much better ways to help those who truly need help.

Sue said...

But Frodo dear, don't you know it's your caring sensitive side women are attracted to, who needs hard abs when you have Frodo!

The Wool Cupboard said...

Sue ~ I found a good laugh for you.

"WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama outlined new multibillion-dollar stimulus and jobs proposals Tuesday, saying the nation must continue to "spend our way out of this recession" until more Americans are back at work."

This statement will definitely be remembered as one of the dumbest quotes in recorded history...right up there with "it depends on what the meaning of the word is is!!

I was wrong...it is NOT funny, because it demonstrates just how ignorant this administration is in the area of economics.

Frodo, with flat abs, too, said...

Linda, every Economics textbook in the entire world states, in one way or another, that a recession is best challenged by an influx of capital.

Do you ever feel awfully alone out there?

If not, you should.

Leslie Parsley said...

Whaw - I wanna go back to the hunks. How in hell did we go from abs to right-wing misinformation and propaganda?

Sue said...

Linda thanks for pointing out the differences in democrats and republicans and how the left knows how to govern while the right know absolutly jackshit. Talk about going down in history with the most stupid comment....

BTW, this administration will spend millions AND spend YEARS fixing the economic catastrophe from the rethug administration before it. SO, which party knows economics??

Lisa said...

Ummm Sue he's not spending millions,he's spending trillions.
That healthcare bill better not cover abortion because they are going to need all those babies to pay for this huge hole they are digging.

Sue said...

One huge difference between the parties, dems KNOW how to pay down the rethugs debt, we did it before and we'll do it this time. Just friggin shut up...

The Wool Cupboard said...

Frodo ~ Not when the capital is being BORROWED to the tune of trillions of dollars...not when the government PRINTS money right and left to pay their bills...not when combined with confiscatory taxation on businesses which are supposed to PROVIDE the needed jobs. Does no one understand the perils of debt anymore?????

The Wool Cupboard said...

Sue ~ Yes, libs take in lots of money alright...by way of TAXES. I believe it was Hillary who said not too long ago...if it moves, we tax it. Come to think of it, even when we don't move anymore, we are taxed!

Sue, Sue, Sue...I've told you before...the financial mess we are in can be blamed on liberal policies in Congress which created the whole subprime lending fiasco. Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae loaned money to thousands of poor risk borrowers and ended up with stacks of defaults on home loans. The conservatives tried repeatedly to stop the sub-prime lending, but were called "racist" (as usual) by the libs in Congress. Barney Frank, Chris Dodd and Maxine Waters (as well as others) all came down hard on conservatives who dared to criticize the practice.

Sue said...

why do republicans fear taxes, it's how the world goes round!
Do you think we live in this country for free? Liberals aren't afraid to pay their fair share, why are you?

The Wool Cupboard said...

Sue ~ If it were a fair share that was properly and wisely dispersed to legitimate programs worthy of the expenditure, there would be no complaints from conservatives. As it is we are throwing good money (taxes) after bad on programs riddled with waste, fraud, greed, corruption, mis-management, and NO POSITIVE RESULTS for all the effort. We have families who have been on welfare for 4 and 5 generations!!! That should be a crime. There is a Bible verse which states, "A fool and his money are soon parted." We are the fools for allowing those crooks in Congress to steal our money and then throw it away while lining their own pockets along the way. Workers need to stand up for their right to keep their own money and tell the thugs trying to take 45 - 55% of it to hit the road.

Sue said...

why do you pick on Congress? why not add in the crooks on Wall St, the crooks in the health insurance business. Oh but the conservatives don't think of them as crooks, they are just earning a living, making a profit...nothing like good 'ole corporate greed and corruption

The Wool Cupboard said...

Sue ~ There is corruption in nearly every area of business, but Americans can always choose another insurance provider or choose not to deal with crooks in business, but we don't have a whole lot of options when it comes to Congress. Short of voting the bums out (which is hard to do when half the people don't seem to be concerned about corruption in government) we are pretty much stuck. They also don't seem to listen to their constituents anymore! My two Senators basically told me they were going to vote the way they want...I'm from Illinois...that tells the whole story.

Jerry Critter said...

Linda - I think you may have things a little backwards. Actually many, if not most, people don't have a choice of insurance carrier. They get their insurance through their work and don't really have a choice, or at least only a very limited choice of providers.

We get the congressmen we deserve. They are elected by a majority of voters. They are the peoples' choice. They may not be your choice, but they are the choice of the majority. Don't like your congressmen? Work to get others elected. It is called democracy.

Sue said...

Jerry is right, Thanks Jerry! Certainly the majority of Americans can't choose their HC provider like then can their car insurance!
