God's Army according to Bush

Bush's Shocking Biblical Prophecy Emerges: God Wants to "Erase" Mid-East Enemies "Before a New Age Begins"
By Clive Hamilton, CounterPunch. Posted May 25, 2009

The revelation this month in GQ Magazine that Donald Rumsfeld as Defense Secretary embellished top-secret wartime memos with quotations from the Bible prompts a question. Why did he believe he could influence President Bush by that means?
The answer may lie in an alarming story about George Bush's Christian millenarian beliefs that has yet to come to light.
In 2003 while lobbying leaders to put together the Coalition of the Willing, President Bush spoke to France's President Jacques Chirac. Bush wove a story about how the Biblical creatures Gog and Magog were at work in the Middle East and how they must be defeated.
In Genesis and Ezekiel Gog and Magog are forces of the Apocalypse who are prophesied to come out of the north and destroy Israel unless stopped. The Book of Revelation took up the Old Testament prophesy:
"And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them."
Bush believed the time had now come for that battle, telling Chirac:
"This confrontation is willed by God, who wants to use this conflict to erase his people's enemies before a New Age begins".
The story of the conversation emerged only because the Elyse Palace, baffled by Bush's words, sought advice from Thomas Romer, a professor of theology at the University of Lausanne. Four years later, Romer gave an account in the September 2007 issue of the university's review, Allez savoir. The article apparently went unnoticed, although it was referred to in a French newspaper.
The story has now been confirmed by Chirac himself in a new book, published in France in March, by journalist Jean Claude Maurice. Chirac is said to have been stupefied and disturbed by Bush's invocation of Biblical prophesy to justify the war in Iraq and "wondered how someone could be so superficial and fanatical in their beliefs".
In the same year he spoke to Chirac, Bush had reportedly said to the Palestinian foreign minister that he was on "a mission from God" in launching the invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan and was receiving commands from the Lord.
There can be little doubt now that President Bush's reason for launching the war in Iraq was, for him, fundamentally religious. He was driven by his belief that the attack on Saddam's Iraq was the fulfilment of a Biblical prophesy in which he had been chosen to serve as the instrument of the Lord.

This post is because of a comment I made about Bush and HIS Iraq invasion which Linda vehemently disagreed with. If you do a google search 'God told Bush to invade Iraq', you will find thousands to choose from.

OH NO !!! Not actual facts, and personal quotes by the SHRUBSTER .

He is a millenialist.

Waiting for the rapture. Years ago he had a [sober moment] and found God. PROBLEM; --God never found him.-- So he went on a rampage [crusade]. He even used the word [crusade] once himself. When he spoke of "democracy" and "freedom" that was xtian code speak for [chritianity]. This was one of the reasons he went along with the NEOCONS and their pipelineistan conquest. One agenda was serving the other agenda. In a way they became allies as a matter of convenience. All users and sociopaths tend to work that way. SHRUB admitted that he did not seek counsel from his papa, because he speaks to a [higher power]. Here was a man that had failed in every endeavor he was ever involved in. The SHRUB now wanted to prove to himself, his blood father, and his other [father], that he could and would be a worthy crusader.

Sue, I think you need to steal Reality Zone's Bush quote meter and put it into the post. Just...feels right.(at least that's what God told me)

It's a good thing the Mayan calendar ends in 2012, because it will take an other millennia to unravel and undo all evil that was caused by God's chosen president...frankly it will be less painful to just let time run out.

Tao Dao Man said...

SUSANA; there is a big debate about the mayan calendar. the maya, the i ching, hopi prophecies, and others are showing there will be an end. is it an apocalypse end of times? or a reset of time? a new era-- if you will. i am of the belief it is a new era that is coming. out with the old, in with the new. this change will be gradual. the first step was to get rid of this NEOCON GLOBALIST mind set. their theory of [the clash of civilizations] is null and void. we do not have to make sacrificial lambs out of half the worlds population, in order for the other half to exist in greed, usury, and imagined wealth. a global co-existance has to come about. the shrub and his fellow travelers will now have to make a major adjustment. lol

Sue said...

Susan funny you should say that, I just spent the last hour over at Reality Zone reading about the Mayan calendar. The guy is scaring me shitless! lol, you hear that RZ!!

Sue said...

what I could gather from my hour long read is a reset of the calendar not the END. God I hope thats true, I might have to run for the hills!!

SUE; LMAO---there is much more to come, so fasten your seat belts. here is my gmail address. realityzone2012@gmail.com

lol. it fits my avatar. lol.

muslims are now 25% of the total population in the world. most of them do not even live in the middle east. W and his evangelical crusaders want to control israel so that the messiah can return. but before he returns all the jews would have to convert to christianity. then and only then can the rapture occur. ---i have a problem with that. leave me, and mine out of it. i will ascend to my god by walking with him, not killing in his name.

this just came up on the [BUSH QUOTE GENERATOR] Thought it would fit good into this thread.

If god chose George Bush, what does that say about the judgment of god?

Sue said...

but thats just it Jerry, God didn't choose Bush, the shrub just believes He did.

RZ, you're still scaring me...

Jerry Critter said...

True Sue. I guess I got that a little backwards. We all know about the quality of the "judgement of Bush".

Far be it for me to question the judgment of god. I would not want her to get mad at me.

Tao Dao Man said...

JC; "her" i like that.
Here is another surprise God is NOT WHITE. LOL. And neither was Jesus.

Jerry Critter said...

Oh god!! RZ...shhhhhhhhh! Don't tell anyone!

Bush using God is a bigger lie and fraud than a woman wearing Spanx...and equally as wrong.

I can think of a woman or two that I would like to see in spandex!

I can't believe I go to bed and leave you guys alone to talk about a female Asian God and spandex, that is way off topic!! (lolol) :-)))

The CDM said...

Actually, I mentioned Spanx, it's a VERY fraudulent and evil thing a woman wears. On par with G.W. using God as a means of making up his mind.

Sue said...

C I find it odd you even know the word Spanx, LOL!

Jerry Critter said...

If you want evil, how about Shrub in a flight suit?

Reality Zone -***"W and his evangelical crusaders want to control israel so that the messiah can return. but before he returns all the jews would have to convert to christianity. then and only then can the rapture occur."***

You display a shocking lack of knowledge about Scripture here. No one needs to control Israel in order for the Messiah to return. All prophesies have been utterly and completely fulfilled, so that Christ may come at any moment. The Jews do not have to convert before the Second Coming...many will be saved after Christ returns and many will suffer martyrdom for their decision to accept Him.

The obvious atheism displayed by many commentators here in this discussion explains so much to me about your world view. I'm sorry for your lack of faith.

Sue said...

Linda I don't know who you are calling an athiest but CDM, Reality Zone, Susan and myself are not. Tom and Jerry would you like to chime in here?
Hey did ya get that?? Tom and Jerry!! LOL (the cartoon incase you don't know)

I was just thinking of Jacques Chirac, the former President of France, who's country has a history that included a king who also spoke to God, namely Louis IX....known to most as St. Louis of France, who fought and led not one but two crusades against the "infidels".

This might be the first and last times you will ever see the names "George W. Bush" and "Louis IX of France" ever mentioned in the same paragraph.

I'll bet my lunch money for the year on it.

Jerry Critter said...

I have no problem whatsoever with my lack of faith. There is no need to feel sorry for me. Save it for someone that needs it.

Sue said...

this blog welcomes friends of all faiths or if you prefer, no faith! I DO NOT judge, who you worship or not is none of my business.

Tao Dao Man said...

i have been called an athiest many time. mostly bu those that pre-judge me, and others. a couple of weeks a go the pastor at the non-denominational church that i attend. gave a sermon about how the pilgrims came here in order to practice their religion. [[[freedom of religion.]]]. everything went fine until they started getting organized, and wanted their flock to flourish. that is when the persecuted, became the persecutors. sort of like [if you do not believe in my god, then i have to kill you]. sad, very sad, indeed. for some the crusades are everlasting and eternal. instead of thinking of their own salvation. they dream of empire.

The CDM said...

And here I thought we had freedom FROM religion.

*laughs and runs away*

The Wool Cupboard said...

Many terrible things have been done in the name of religion all through history. Just because they were done in the "name of religion" does not mean that they were of God or condoned by God.

I wasn't condemning anyone for their lack of faith. I merely said that my perception of atheism explained a lot about your world view. I do however, still feel sorry for your anyone who has no faith. It would be very depressing to face today's world without benefit of faith in God. It would be impossible to go through life thinking that this is all there is. You are free to be free from religion, and I am free to pray that you come to accept Christ before it is too late.

Don't get me started on this douchebag that goes around calling the Catholic church "the great whore". If there's any justice in this world or the next, when he dies, he'll be smoking a turd in hell with Jerry Falwell.

Funny thing is, I ain't Catholic, but have friends that are.

May I ask why such hatred on your part?

The CDM said...

For hagee and falwell? Much. They are/were an abomination to REAL religion.

The only real man of religion I have ever seen that made an appearance on TV is Billy Graham.

The Wool Cupboard said...

CDM ~ We agree in mutual respect for Dr. Billy Graham. His son, Franklin, is doing lots of good work, too.

TomCat said...

Linda, it's clear from your comment that you believe in pre-trip rapture, and while the majority of evangelicals hold that view, some also support a post-trib and mid-trib position. I cannot comment on RZ's faith, nor would I. Aren't you on rather shaky spiritual ground yourself by judging the faith of others?

Before you claim that I have questioned your faith that is not so. Your faith is between you and God. I question your dogma.

The CDM said...

Holy crap!!! Linda agrees with me!!! I thought the ground felt awfully cold today. Wonder what the actual temperature in hell is right now.

The big BG has NEVER endorsed a candidate, that gets mad respect in my book. He actually believes in the separation of church and state. His daughter, on the other hand, concerns me. Jr., so far is running his game like he should so far.

T.C; I am a Godian ! ! !

Sue said...

RZ when you say these things you also need to give us a definition, :-)

Tao Dao Man said...

SUE; ooops sorry, i forgot. where i used to post every one knew what i meant.

i am a Godian==[i made that word up]lol.some have called me a deitist, but i think it is deeper than that. i believe in A god. a cosmic god that is in all of us. I am not big on organized religion. Rituals chants, song,or dance i do not think one has to go into a building to be at peace with THEIR god. many new evangelicals, [reborn xtians] say they have found god. i ask of them. has god found you? i believe more in the WAY of god. not the restrictions of a belief. to find inner peace, is what god asks for. We are not here for this short visit to take baggage into the after life. we are here to cleanse ourselves of the evil that we are tested by on a daily basis. The Dao De Ching is a philosophy, [ a way ] i feel very comfortable with that. The Bible is the greatest story ever told, [ or sold] depending on who you talk to. lol the Koran is recited 3 times a day by over 25% of the world's population. yet, the west thinks of them as terrorists. Buddhism is another great religion. Judaism is a religion that Cristianity, and Islam is based on.
Religion is just like money. It matters not weather one has it, or does not have it. It matters what one does with it. Unfortunately the human race, has taken religion to use as a toll to better themselves here on this lonely planet. Inner Peace is the religion i seek.

The Wool Cupboard said...

I think that some have misunderstood my comment about my assuming that some on the blog were athiests. I merely stated that that fact would explain a lot to me about their world view. I am a Christian, so that naturally affects my world view. No condemnation...just observation. I have not voiced any judgement on your particular religious beliefs nor will I. I have an opinion on your beliefs, but I will keep that to myself. (I KNOW you have opinions about my religious beliefs, as you have already made them known.)

TomCat said...

And assuming is not a form of judgment? Hmmm?

The Wool Cupboard said...

TC ~ I do not feel that assuming something about people based upon statements made by those people to be judging them. It's not like we are aquaintances or that there is a history here. I only know about you what I glean from reading your posts. When some posters made comments that seemed disrespectful or maybe better stated "not respectful" then I took from that to mean that they really placed little importance on whether their statements would be pleasing to God or not. I do not think this is the same as "judging" them. It is merely making an observation based upon their statements.
