It feels really good, Sue. SJ and I are having a Burbon in celebration.
This is a big fucking deal!
Somebody play the "Rocky" theme!!!
Just saw on the Associated Press wire that Obama's next big initiative will be keep people from losing their homes or from owing more than their homes are currently worth.
So on to the next victory lap@
BJ
P.S. When all you naysayers finally figure out thsi this is a good thing for America, remember that not one single Republican Seantor or Representative voted for it.
Good to see you Mycue!! It feels great, wish I was there to have a drink with you! :-)
C, It is a big fucking deal, but kinda quietly reported. The bill signing will be exciting tho!
Good to see you too BJ! I saw that report too, Obama wants to have unemployed be able to skip mortgage payments. Seems like a big fight brewing to me!
Absolutely Democrats need to pound the fact that not one repub voted for the biggest bill to help Americans since Social Security!
BTW, I posted this news the minute the vote went down, Mr. President is THE Blog to read for up to the minute political news! :-)))
I am proud of the way the Democrats held together..
Well most of them. We have a few.. 3 in the Senate and 20 something in the House who voted against the bills..
My Rep. Ike Skelton is one who voted against it.. and I have already sent him a scathing letter letting him know what I thought and that I would not vote for him this fall.
As far as I am concerned the ones who voted against this bill are nothing more than Rethugs in disguise and should lose the D after their name.
CRAZO QUOTE OF THE DAY:
From the Associated Press, 3/26/10:
"We need to repeal Obamacare and replace it with policy that will create more access, create jobs, which will lower the cost of health care and not be a government takeover of the health care system," said Rep. Paul Broun, R-Ga.
Thanks BJ!!
thats the truth Annette!
Have you heard anything about the bill signing?
Broun also wants to jam the Ten Commandments down all our throats, and he's also an afterbirther, IIRC.
