The oil floating in the Gulf is about the size of the state of Maryland and it will just keep growing. There are claims now that a device costing 500,000 could have prevented this disaster. The remote activated device is considered a weapon of last resort when it comes to sealing off ruptured offshore wells, BUT ISN'T REQUIRED ON PLATFORMS OPERATING UNDER U.S. LAWS! BP, oil giant, will pay out more in fines, cleanup and law suits then it would have safe guarding the rig. America and her greed....
An acoustic trigger is a football size remote control that uses sound waves to communicate with the valve on the seabed floor and close it. It costs about $500,000. This rig had a replacement cost of about 560 million. The cleanup costs are still spiraling....
Right wing bloggers are already screaming about President Obama not moving fast enough, saying this is his Katrina. Why of course, make sure the Dem President gets treated like the repub Bush, even though Obama does not deserve such criticism. But even worse then the big mouth righties is Limpy.....
On his radio show today, Rush Limbaugh unveiled his brand new conspiracy theory that environmentalists were secretly behind the oil rig explosion that has spilled hundreds of thousands of gallons of oil into the Gulf of Mexico. He reasoned, “What better way to head off more oil drilling, nuclear plants than by blowing up a rig?”
Limbaugh laid out his conspiracy theory, “Now lest we forget, ladies and gentlemen, the carbon tax bill, cap and trade, that was scheduled to be announced on Earth Day, I remember that, then it was postponed for a couple of days later, after Earth Day…This bill the cap and trade bill was criticized by hard core environmentalist wackos because it supposedly allowed more offshore drilling and nuclear plants, nuclear plant investment, so since they’re sending swat teams down there folks, since they’re sending swat teams to inspect the other rigs, what better way to head off more oil drilling, nuclear plants than by blowing up a rig? I’m just noting the timing here.”
WOW, what a sick pig! Wonder who will come out with the God theory. The one where God's wrath is upon Louisiana because of "them thar gays".

Grassroots Organizing, the Democrats know how to do it!
Organizing for America, MoveOn.org, Democracy Now.org....These organizations worked their butts off to get Barack Obama elected and they are still working hard to make sure Republicans DO NOT win back the House or Senate in November. When I get a letter like this it gives me hope and renews my faith in the American people.
Sure, the republicans have to boast about BIG WINS, but we know it's a bunch of bull. They have no plans, no ideas. They say Obama is moving us in the wrong direction, but they give us no reason to trust them with the road map. They've already proven they can't drive and read the map at the same time!
"Republicans win back House, Senate." "Voters reject Obama's agenda."
If you listen to the talking heads on TV, it's like November 3rd's headlines are already written.
But here's what they don't know -- and it's why they're dead wrong: The same grassroots movement that knocked on the most doors, made the most calls, and inspired the most first-time voters in history in 2008 hasn't gone anywhere. In fact, we're gearing up to do it all again.
You heard it from the President on Monday. We've been planning for the fall campaign all year. And we know full well that winning nationally means organizing locally. Every House district holds an election this year, and all but five states will vote statewide for a governor or senator.
Republicans are already calling 2010 a "referendum" on the President's agenda. They're campaigning to win majorities in Congress, so they can roll back the progress we've worked so hard to make. In fact, hundreds of candidates have signed a pledge, circulated by the conservative Club for Growth, to repeal health insurance reform.
If history is any guide, this is nothing to scoff at. In midterm elections, the president's party regularly loses seats. And an economy that's still recovering only makes our job harder.
But history has never seen anything like us.
While Sarah Palin gives big speeches mocking "community organizers," we're investing in them. Our field operation is far and away the largest of its kind in history. OFA staff and volunteers are pounding the pavement across the country.
From the earliest primaries in 2008 to the fight for Wall Street reform, while the attacks ads were flying and the cynics were talking down our chances, we've done what we know best -- keep on organizing. Investing in these resources is what will make it possible for us to set records again in 2010.
The headlines we wake up to on November 3rd are in our hands. But we can't succeed without a strong start -- and we can't do it without you.
The fight ahead is going to be tough. With your help, Election Night doesn't have to be.
Thanks,
Mitch

Teabaggers DO make exceptions to THEIR rules
Tea Party activists go out of their way to insist that they're not partisan, racist, or filled with hate; they're just patriots who want to stop a socialist government machine from controlling our lives....
SO... why aren't the teabaggers in Arizona protesting the immigration law?
Activists for Latino and immigrant rights — and supporters of sane governance — held weekend rallies denouncing the new law and vowing to do everything they can to overturn it. But where was the Tea Party crowd? Isn’t the whole premise of the Tea Party movement that overreaching government poses a grave threat to individual freedom? It seems to me that a law allowing individuals to be detained and interrogated on a whim — and requiring legal residents to carry identification documents, as in a police state — would send the Tea Partyers into apoplexy. Or is there some kind of exception if the people whose freedoms are being taken away happen to have brown skin and might speak Spanish?

It looks like a Heinz 57, but not so fast.....
When Morning Joe highlighted this new Gallup poll I was shocked even though I shouldn't be, we are a fickle nation afterall. So I Googled Gallup and read for myself. The right likes to look at the top line and stop there, But...... look at the chart, look at the difference between "very enthusiastic" and "somewhat enthusiastic". BIG difference huh? We just have to get Democrats enthusiastic now don't we!!!
Also note... President Obama has a 51% approval rating...
PRINCETON, NJ -- Although U.S. registered voters are closely divided in their 2010 congressional election preferences, those who say they are "very enthusiastic about voting" this year show a strong preference for the Republican Party.

Geezers and haters join together in Texas!
Texas lawmaker: Obama is ‘God’s punishment on us.’
Something very sinister is going on in our country. Elected officials feel the need to join in the rhetoric being spewed by right-wing hate groups. Saturday Gov. Rick Perry and several other electeds were at an event in Tyler Texas with none other than Mr. Insanity himself, the Beckster. Perry said he was proud to be in an army of anti-Obama Americans! Such sickening words coming from someone who holds some power in our free society. One theme at the event was that our country has drifted far away from it's founding values. Isn't that interesting? Maybe the righties need to take a closer look at themselves, they are the ones causing the DRIFT!
State Rep. Leo Berman (that's him, the Satanic looking old geezer pictured above) told the crowd he believes Barack Obama is God's punishment on us today, but, he says, "In 2012 we are going to make Obama a one term president." Dream on you old fart!
Remember the post I did saying Beck doesn't give 2 fucks about politics? Well at this event he claimed to be carrying out Gods plan! He said the U.S. Constitution was divinely inspired and our rights come from God. "If God is with us then who can possibly stand against us?" Well Beckster and fans, maybe you should be trying to bring all Americans together, helping spread the joy and love that God would like of you, instead of dividing and hating certain segments of our population and our President Obama?? That is more Godly, wouldn't you think?
Interestingly old geezer Berman told Chinese-American immigration lawyer Harry Joe from Dallas to "go home"and kiss his ass. This stupidity came after Joe criticized Berman's proposal to require all undocumented immigrants to be located in self-designated "sanctuary cities". OKAY.... now, recall Michelle Bachmann when she talked about refusing to complete the 2010 Census? Her insane reasoning for refusing to fill out the Census completely was because she claimed the data would be used for "nefarious purposes" including the imprisonment of Americans in concentration camps! So which is it you right wingers? Bachmann says our government wants to imprison Americans and that's wrong, but Republican Berman likes the idea. Maybe it's WHO they actually want in these concentration camps.

Just Imagine, makes you stop and think
A few things happened today to bring me out of my slump. First was conservative blogger Malcontent making fun of the Obamas because they ate a fattening meal, then saying they made him physically sick when he looked at their picture. Second was lisa accusing liberals of always talking about race, third and most importantly was a post by Shaw Kenawe quoting Tim Wise. PLEASE go read it here.
Tim Wise is among the most prominent anti-racist writers and activists in the U.S. Wise has spoken in 48 states, on over 400 college campuses, and to community groups around the nation. Wise has provided anti-racism training to teachers nationwide, and has trained physicians and medical industry professionals on how to combat racial inequities in health care. His latest book is called Between Barack and a Hard Place.
A snippet...
Imagine that hundreds of black protesters were to descend upon Washington DC and Northern Virginia, just a few miles from the Capitol and White House, armed with AK-47s, assorted handguns, and ammunition. And imagine that some of these protesters - the black protesters - spoke of the need for political revolution, and possibly even armed conflict in the event that laws they didn’t like were enforced by the government? Would these protesters — these black protesters with guns — be seen as brave defenders of the Second Amendment, or would they be viewed by most whites as a danger to the republic? What if they were Arab-Americans? Because, after all, that’s what happened recently when white gun enthusiasts descended upon the nation’s capital, arms in hand, and verbally announced their readiness to make war on the country’s political leaders if the need arose.
Imagine that a rap artist were to say, in reference to a white president: “He’s a piece of shit and I told him to suck on my machine gun.” Because that’s what rocker Ted Nugent said recently about President Obama.
Go to Shaws and read the rest.

Conservative Nostalgia, I don't get it....
I don't get it, college republicans LOVE GW Bush and want to honor him with his very own day, "W" DAY! I felt it was our duty to show that there is a fair number that support President Bush and appreciate what he did for our country,” [student Timothy Gilliam] said. [...]Sorry Bush lovers but this makes me laugh! This is happening at Western Kentucky University, a booth is set up and a giant thank-you card is waiting your signature, when it's so full they can't fit any more names then it'll be sent to Bush in Texas! While you are standing in line waiting for the 2 people ahead of you to sign, you can watch some of Bush's most famous speeches on video and pick up a flier highlighting his accomplishments. OMG, it's too friggin' funny! Gilliam says so far 200 fliers have been handed out and 100 signatures are on the card. Also said it's been so successful he's going to share the idea with other universities. What is it with Republicans and the past?? Why can't they live for the future and accept when we have legitimate elections, even if it is Democrats that win?? Bush was NOT a good president, face it and move on!
A new NBC/Wall Street Journal poll finds that Americans are entering 2010 with a negative view of the events of the past decade, which was largely marked by President Bush’s tenure from 2001-2009:
According to the poll, a combined 58% said the decade was either “awful” or “not so good,” 29% said it was fair, and just 12% said it was either “good” or “great.” [...]Look at these poll numbers. The largest numbers are the things Republicans today are still fighting. They don't listen to the people and this is more proof. 46% say ground on health and well being was lost, so they still fight HC reform. 54% say ground was lost on the nations sense of unity yet they fight this new president on every turn which leads to a divided country. 55% say loss of respect for others yet we have tea party activists showing a huge disrespect for our president and for ANYONE who disagrees with their twisted thinking. 66% say loss of morals, this is a good one. We know repubs use morals and family values as their platform but have jumped ship with that one. Way too many repubs are lacking in morals these days! 74% say ground on economic prosperity was lost but the righties continue fighting finance reform, jobs bill, and Main St. while embracing Wall St. and tax cuts for the rich.
Asked what they thought had the greatest negative impact on America this past decade, 38% cited the 9/11 terrorist attacks, 23% picked the mortgage and housing crisis, 20% said the Iraq war, 11% chose the stock market crash, and 6% said Hurricane Katrina.
But 37% said it lost ground on the environment, 46% said it lost ground on health and well being, 50% said it lost ground on peace and national security, 54% said lost ground on the nation’s sense of unity, 55% said it lost ground in treating others with respect, 66% said it lost ground on moral values, and a whopping 74% said it lost ground on economic prosperity.
I don't get it. We have a great president and a chance for making progress that was sorely lacking in the Bush years. Forget Reagan, he's dead and forget Bush, he doesn't care about you and the mess he made of this world, he's napping comfortably in his hammock, on his secluded comfortable ranch......

There's a feud running between Jon Stewart and Fox News, punctuated by the Daily Show host periodically urging to conservative network, "Go fuck yourself." The folks at Fox aren't thrilled, but they're out of their weight class. Every time they try to fight back, Stewart just brings the pain harder. For last night's performance on Comedy Central, there are no words. There is just Jon Stewart, and his five backup singers.

Angry gun lovin', freedom losin', Obama hatin', rednecks
I love The Ed Show. Ed Schultz speaks for me, he gets angry at the same things that anger me. Here he talks about the rally for gun rights, we all know most of these people are right wingers who think President Obama is taking away their freedoms and their rights, today it's all about guns....
Tell me righties, what rights and freedoms has President Obama taken from you??

Listen to his hypnotic voice, he is calling for violence, he is Satan I tell you, this man is pure evil!

It's been 15 years, things are worse, not better. Who gets the blame?
Tomorrow is the 15th anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing by an American terrorist, things have not gotten better, they are much worse. Chris Matthews, on his show today, showed a CNN poll that said 70% of republicans polled in February of this year fear their rights and freedoms are under imminent threat, in February of 1996 after the Oklahoma City bombing, 52% of republicans said the same thing. President Clinton was much too gentle in his assessment of the GOP and the role they play in ramping up the hateful rhetoric towards our government.
In an interview with the New York Times on Friday, Clinton warned of the effect that angry political rhetoric might have on antigovernment radicals like Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh; he pointed to Rep. Michele Bachmann calling the Obama administration and the Democratic Congress "the gangster government" at a tax day Tea Party rally on Thursday.
"They are not gangsters," Clinton told the newspaper. "They were elected. They are not doing anything they were not elected to do."
Clinton said that demonizing the government with incendiary language can have effects beyond just rallying a crowd.
The pouring of fuel on the fire by right wing leaders, "news" shows, radio hosts and tea party extremists is why the poll number has grown significantly.
The righties will say the left is fueling the fire by calling all teabaggers racists and extremists(not true, BTW), But as long as the GOP and prominent rightwing commentators continue to embrace these teabaggers and not condemn the hateful rhetoric coming from the rallies, then what choice do we have? The teabaggers are an extension of the republican party. They claim to be a movement against the government and not against a particular party. How then do they explain the targeted seats in the House and Senate are All democrat seats? These people are desperate to gain back republican power, why? After 8 years of runaway spending, lies and cover-ups from a republican administration they want to put them back in power is not only insane but just proves the agenda of the teabaggers. OUST all democrats possible and especially President Obama. Their hate for President Obama is not based on rational thinking, how could it be? He has not done a single thing to take away any citizens freedoms.
The militias, religious fanatics, extremists teabaggers, rightwing nuts, they are all in this together and the leaders on the right who stand in silence, OR stand right along side of these groups are going to pay the price. We can not afford to go backwards in this country and we can not tolerate hate and violence when it is not based on reality.

New Jerseys rethug Governor. Same old tired rethug policies....
New Jersey put a rethug in the governors house last year. I was willing to give Christie a chance like most here, but just like when we elect a republican president, we eventually regret our decision to "give the other guys a chance". It's the same old song and dance, republicans can't govern and dems have to come in and clean up after them. Corzine was on the right track but the people were to impatient, they didn't want to give him the 4 more years he needed. So we are back to the same old rethug shenanigans in NJ. This my friends is what will happen all over this country if you don't give the dems a fighting chance. If you turn your back on the democrats when they are just beginning to make the changes and not give them the time they need, then it will be back to square one.
This was in my email today, read it and see for yourselves what I have to look forward to for the next 4 years. Maybe the liberals can do what the teabaggers are trying to do ousting Menendez"because they don't like how he votes". We could call for impeachment of our Gov. before he breaks the backs of the middle class in NJ for the sake of the rich. Same old, same old tired rethug way of governing....
With his poll numbers dropping and editorial pages across the state calling him out on his backward priorities, Governor Christie's administration is doing everything it can to distract New Jersey voters from the middle class crunching cuts and property tax increases he has proposed. No one is disputing that we are in a tough budget situation and action is needed. But the Governor continually tells us his budget imposes shared sacrifice on everyone in New Jersey, yet approximately 42,000 people who make over $400,000 will pay thousands of dollars less in taxes than they did last year. The rest of us are left with crippling property tax increases as a result of the cuts to our local schools and towns. As many as 134,000 low income seniors will have to pay an additional $310 for their prescription drug plans in addition to a doubling of their co-pay.
After a week of legislative hearings where many of these budget fallacies were exposed Christie and his treasurer had a new talking point, that Democrats were trying to make a political issue out of the tax increase. If Chris Christie thinks priorities like protecting poor and disabled seniors, supporting families struggling to pay their property taxes and keeping our class sizes at rational levels is a political issue he couldn't be more wrong.
To make matters worse, at the same time he is taking money out of our pockets, he wants to send tens of millions of dollars back to Washington by refusing federal matching funds for after-school programs, homeland security and library funding amongst others.
All across South Jersey towns are laying off township workers, there are HUGE cuts in the budgets because of HUGE cuts in funding from the state, especially for schools. Which means property taxes go up to make up the difference. When I moved here 20 yrs ago my property taxes were 1,600, they are now 4,000 and expected to rise again. The average for our state is around 7,000. It's insane! I need to move to Delaware....

Nutters are losers and they are stupid too!!
Poll: Obama Beats Romney, Huckabee, Gingrich, Palin — Got Anyone Else?
Polls, I don't like Polls usually, and a poll that shows the 2012 presidential race is premature but this report is mighty interesting.
CNN found Obama topping Romney 53% to 45%, Obama beats Huckabee 54% to 45%, also Gingrich was beat 55% to 43%, AND.....Obama defeating Palin 55% to 42%! GASP!!!
Obama beat McCain 52.9% to 45.7%, almost identical to the numbers for Romney in this poll.
Obama continues to poll very popular "as the person" but it's his policies they complain about. (That's what they say)
This could be a reason the GOP is killing itself softly,
The nutters have once again worked themselves into a frenzy of pure stupidity and fearmongering. The Obama administration has a new logo for the Nuclear Security Summit, OH the HORROR!!! The nutters describe it as a "kind of crescent moon you see on the flags of Muslim countries" , these words from The New York Post's Michael Goodwin and repeated on conservative blogs AND Fox Noise....watch for yourself, it's friggin hilarious!
Looks exactly the same doesn't it?? Ooooooh scary!!! lol

Crash the Tea Parties!
I read about this guy Jason Levin in my little hometown paper today, then RZ emailed me an article about him in Common Dreams. CRASH THE TEA PARTY, it's Levins plan to take down the tea party from the inside!
Levin is getting alot of support across the country, so far 66 groups are planning on integrating themselves in the tea party rallies on Thursday. What they will do is meld with the baggers so they won't look out of place, BUT Levin says their plan is not to shout them down, it's to infiltrate them and push them farther from the mainstream. For instance, whenever a teabagger says "Obama was not born in America", his groupie will be right there next to the bagger and say "yeah in fact he wasn't born on Earth, he's an alien!" These groupies will be completely indistinguishable from the baggers except they won't be out crazied by any of them!
Levin said he got the idea from a counter-protest (please click, it's too funny!!)to the infamous Westboro Baptist Church group held outside Twitter headquarters in January. Levin said the Westboro group broke up after counter-protesters showed up holding signs even crazier than the ones held by the church group. When the church realized they couldn't get their message out, they left.
The Crash the Tea Party has a website, it's managed by Levin and explains how the plan will work. He says "whenever possible, we will act on behalf of the Tea Party to exaggerate their least appealing qualities like "misspelled signs and wild claims in TV interviews"
His hope for this plan is the GOP stops listening to the teabaggers and they disperse and go back to their militias and cabins in the woods. Does it seem far fetched to you? I'm interested but sceptical.
Levin says the groups are non-violent and not interested in "perpetuating racism, homophobia or misogyny. He said if violence were to break out at a tea party rally on Thursday, or more epithets like the ones thrown around during the HC debates are heard, it won't be because of his group.
Upset tea partiers have posted Levins address and phone number on the FreeRepublic.com message boards, He said he's also getting silly threats against him and his family. Well, if I were him I would not take those threats lightly! The rally on April 19th will have teabaggers ARMED AND DANGEROUS. They should be taken seriously.
Pink Panties Hannity is talking these groups up on his radio show, I guess he wants to rile the base, but Levin says all the attention just serves to make his plan more successful. I hope he's right, I hope he succeeds!
Lots of NUKE news!
I got this email today, most of you probably did also but I thought it was important enough to post the way I received it. Also please check out mommapolitico, she has a great post about a nuclear near miss!
Good morning, I'm writing you from the largest gathering of world leaders that the United States has hosted since the founding of the United Nations 65 years ago. Forty-seven countries are joining forces at President Obama's Nuclear Security Summit to address the most daunting security threat of our time: nuclear terrorism. Securing loose nuclear materials is a good example of some of the immediate challenges being discussed, but the focus is also on how we get to a place where the threat of nuclear weapons to humanity is eliminated altogether. To go over the progress that's been made, President Obama will hold a press conference at 4:30 p.m. EDT that you can watch live on WhiteHouse.gov. But you don't need to wait until then: Deputy National Security Advisor Ben Rhodes will answer your questions in a live web chat at 1:00 p.m. EDT. So tune in to http://www.WhiteHouse.gov/nuclear-security-summit later today for both the web chat and the press conference. Three very important things have happened recently to make our Nation – indeed the world – a safer place. Last week the Defense Department released the President's Nuclear Posture Review, laying out a vision to, as the President put it, "reduce the role of nuclear weapons in our national security strategy and focus on reducing the nuclear dangers of the 21st century, while sustaining a safe, secure and effective nuclear deterrent for the United States and our allies and partners as long as nuclear weapons exist." Two days after that, President Obama and Russian President Medvedev signed the landmark New START Treaty, which requires the United States and Russia to reduce -- by 30 percent below the levels in a treaty signed in 2002 -- the number of nuclear warheads they have deployed on intercontinental ballistic missiles, submarine-based ballistic missiles, and bombers. Then, beginning on Sunday of this week, the President engaged in a steady stream of bilateral meetings before personally welcoming every delegation last night and holding a working dinner. Today, the President is chairing plenary sessions all day long to work toward solid, consensus approaches to this issue. It's been a very busy, but productive few weeks, and there is much to talk about. So bring your questions to the live chat and tune in after that for the press conference:

Tea Party Darling Running For NY Governor In Hot Water For Forwarding Racist, Sexually Explicit E-mails
What exactly do conservatives want us to think about them when they continue with this sexist, racist, bigoted, hypocritical behavior?
Buffalo businessman Carl Paladino, who is running in the governor race for the state, is the newest teabagger hero, do you know why? Could it be the fact he is outspoken about the liberal elites, or because he such a dirty old man? Teabaggers seem to like that type. Paladino has regularly forwarded pornography and racially degrading material to friends on the Internet, according to WNYMedia.net.
Amongst the nasty sexual emails was also a photo of President Obama and First Lady doctored to simulate a 1970's pimp and prostitute, and an email showing chimpanzees doing an Irish dance entitled "proof the Irish discovered Africa." There was a photo of dancing African tribesmen entitled "Obama Inauguration Rehearsal", that one was very popular in the White Supremacist community and was posted at the Neo-Nazi Stormfront website.
Today at a Tea Party rally in Buffalo, Paladino was asked about the emails and after denying knowing anything about them he finally blamed the whole thing on Democrats! Yup the Democrats are out to dirty his name. Poor guy, like he can't do that all by his dirty little self! Of course the teabaggers are standing with Paladino. They said he is not a racist he was just "passing on some nonsense in an email, everybody does things that are not 100% pure" said the teabaggers! OKAY....
The thing is, conservatives are supposed to be just that, CONSERVATIVES. They are the party of morals, right? It's not that we liberals think we are morally superior, it's that conservatives think they are, but NO they are not, they are hypocrites.
At least one GOP had the guts to come forward and condemn Paladino. Chairman Ed Cox said "the racially and sexually inappropriate nature of Mr. Paladinos emails is disturbing to say the least and stands in stark contrast to what the Republican Party stands for and the values it promotes."
They are having a hell of a time promoting those values lately, huh?! Republicans, the party of morals and values, LOL!
Medvedez calls Obama a "thinker", I like it!
At such a time as this, we here in the USA should be proud we have elected a great and wise man to be our leader, our President. I know I am. Listen to what Russian President Dmitry Medvedev says about President Obama.....OH and by the way...
A worldwide poll taken last month found that the Obama administration’s global approval rating is 51 percent, a 17 percent jump from the Bush administration’s approval rating during its last year! I find that interesting because the righties ALWAYS seem to claim "Obama is slipping DRASTICALLY in the polls". Wouldn't it be nice if our whole country could feel pride in our President?
Today and tomorrow 47 world leaders are gathering in Washington for the Nuclear Security Summit. That is pretty damn impressive, I am very proud of you Mr. President!

There, I said it!!!
Did you know there are people in this great country of ours who actually believe Lizard should run for president? I don't know who is worse, Palin or Cheney. They both continue down the path of lies and distortions against our sitting president. They both continue to undermine our sitting president. They said the liberals were unpatriotic and put our national security at risk if we called out the Shrub and Dickless during their reign of horror and terror.
I have said from the first day of blogging, I do not use the word hate on my blog, I could say with honesty I do not hate anyone. That was then, THIS IS NOW...... I'm fed up to my eyeballs with the hateful, evil rightwingers, they will stop at nothing to bring down our sitting president. How dare they say they care about this country. They care ONLY about POWER. They can't seem to get it through their thick sculls this country elected a Democrat because their party fucked up, get over it thugs!!
I HATE THEM!!!!!!!
A comeback for the right?? NEVER!!!
Sarah Palin can see Russia from her front porch, therefore she is an expert on nuclear weapons. She really does think she could run this country better than President Obama, or does she?? Are rethugs playing mind games with the left? Have they come to the realization the only way they can win in '10 and '12 is to convince us WE can't win? Who is their party leader? Who are their spokesmen for the rethug party? Don't you see what they are doing? They have NOBODY, they have NO message. All they can do is repeat over and over their plans to repeal, obstruct, and plain and simply stand in the way of EVERY single piece of legislation coming out of Obama's administration. They really believe it is the ticket to their success.
They are already planning the obstruction when they take control(so they have you believe) of the House and Senate. You see they have to talk like that or they will wither and die. They can feel death at their doorsteps and they fear it so.
So they plan, they plan for the takeover in '10, they plan for the White House takeover in '12. They rely on the left rolling over in defeat but they have underestimated us. They try and put a moron like Palin out front and center, saying we have underestimated her. It's laughable. They are all about dumbing down of America, it's the only way they can steal the power. IF they can get enough dummies to follow them they could actually win! Their strategy, how smart. The only problem is, who will they choose as their party leader?
70% or more of Americans hate Sarah Palin. How could she even consider a run for the presidency? It's horrifying, the thought of her in the role of President of the United States. The world would laugh hysterically at us! This moron from SNL fame as president?? Surely Republicans are not that stupid, are they?? But they think WE are that stupid, well not me and you, the righties. Keep 'em in the teabagger frame of mind, it's that dumbing down scenario.
If Barack Obama wants a second term, he has it. Don't let the righties convince you he is a one term president. Don't let them get away with saying he will go down in history as the worse president ever. It's all part of their strategy to pump themselves up. You see it was their party to put the worst president in history into the White House for 8 years and they know it!
Don't let them take us back to that horrific time when the right ruled! It is still fresh in our minds, remember it, always remember it!
“A nuclear war cannot be won and must never be fought. The only value in our two nations possessing nuclear weapons is to make sure they will never be used. But then would it not be better to do away with them entirely?” Ronald Reagan

He's a FRAUD, but we liberals already knew that
Guess what lisa, Linda, Pedaling, NCrumpett, and all you lovers and believers of the Beckster, He's a FRAUD! We tried to tell you but you wouldn't listen to "stupid liberals" so Beck has come out and is telling you he doesn't give a flying shit about the political process! Can you believe this revelation? You are free to stop watching, stop believing, stop the hypnotic trances you are forced into each day by this self proclaimed fraud!
With a deadpan, Beck insists that he is not political: "I could give a flying crap about the political process." Making money, on the other hand, is to be taken very seriously, and controversy is it's own coinage. "We're an entertainment company," Beck says. He says if you take what he says as gospel you are an idiot!
See, that's what I've been telling you! Now do you believe me?
So here we have this idiot telling you he doesn't give a damn about any of the lies he spews each day, while the teabaggers and government hating militias are riled up and ready for a revolution!
It's unconscionable!!
Are you fuckin' kidding me?????
Palin and Bachmann, DUMB AND DUMBER, together at a reelection rally for Bachmann, can you think of anything MORE hilarious?? Bachmann called Obama a one term president then spewed this fuckin' idiotic stupidness..."We are going to elect the boldest, strongest, most courageous, rock-ribbed, constitutional conservative president this country has ever seen". The crowd went wild!
Sean(pink panties)Hannity was there interviewing the morons for Fox, he asked the 2 if either had plans to make a run for the presidency(Bwahaaaaahaaaahaaa), Palin said she would not rule anything out and Bachmann for her running mate would be kinda cool! (Bwah Aaaaaahaaaaahaaaaa) OMG, I can barely type this I am laughing so hard....
Bachmann went on to say that if Palin wants to run, “she has tremendous support from the American people.” But Palin may have to worry about Bachmann’s support, as the congresswoman has previously called for Rep. Steve King (R-IA) to make a bid. And Bachmann may face some competition for the number two spot from Fox News host Glenn Beck, though he decided he would rather lead the ticket to prevent Palin from “yapping.”
OMG, I am not kidding people, this is all the Republican party has to offer in 2012?? I am so embarrassed for them as I can feel their humiliation. Their party sucks wienie, BIG TIME.
UPDATE: I just noticed if you click on the other videos that pop up after this one ends you will here Palin say no other president in history has taken the steps to reduce the number of nukes the way Obama is doing, Come on moron, read your history of God Reagan!!!!! hypocrites!!!
Here's the video where Palin and Hannity LIE about Nukes and Obamas national security! Fuckin lying morons!!!! They actually WANT America to use nuclear weapons!!! They are salivating at the thought of it!

Health Gestapo, according to Newt..
When will the radical right wake up and smell the public's distaste for their fear mongering and lies?
After months and months of lies about health care reform we finally had a bill signed by President Obama. It's all been kinda quiet if you ask me, except for the GOP I mean.
The latest fanatical GOP liar is Newt Gingrich. The stupidity and utter lies he is spewing on TV and radio this week have taken the cake and all the icky icing too! "Health reform includes 16,000 agents as "health police"!! What a lying piece of shit this guy is. Factcheck.org explains the new health law requires the IRS to hand out TAX CREDITS, NOT collect penalties! Politifact does report the number to be 8,000 workers hired, NOT AGENTS, but clerks, accountants, computer programmers, telephone helpline workers, and other support staff. Factcheck says the 16,000 claim is a partisan analysis based on guesswork and compounded by outright misrepresentation!
Nevertheless, Gingrich is pressing on, hyping his own false claim with hyperbolic rhetoric and Nazi Germany comparisons. He's on TV showing pictures of federal agents with guns and sledgehammers, saying every Republican candidate should campaign on a promise of defunding these government policemen. LOL!
This is how stupid Gingrich is, he says, "You don't need a health Gestapo in the US. And I think the Democrats are going to be faced with a real hard decision, do they really want to campaign in September, October favoring 16,000 more IRS agents to enforce the health law? And what does it tell you about a health law so complicated that you need 16,000 government policemen? It's sorta creating a brand new health police"
Gingrich, what does it tell you about the minuscule number of Americans who actually listen to and believe the hideous stupid lies that flow from your hideous mouth?? I guess they have to count on those stupid supporters who watch Fox, what choice do they have?
Senators Chambliss, Ensign, Ryan, Sessions and Stearns are repeating the same lie. Think Progress says "Despite the domestic terrorist attack against an IRS building in Austin Texas, conservatives are continuing to stoke fear and hatred towards the government agency. After the plane attack Rep. Steve King justified the attack saying that he too fears the IRS and wants to abolish it"
It's true, Democrats don't do a very good job of getting the truth out. The segment of our population that depends on Fox and ONLY Fox for all their news is being spoon fed ridiculous false information. The bill that was signed into law rules out any criminal penalties for people who refuse to pay the tax or those who don't buy insurance. Gingrich and the right wingers would have you believe that you will be locked up if you don't have coverage, just one of the many lies being forced upon the public. Those who don't take the time to investigate for themselves the truth in the reform, rely on Faux news for all the misinformation.

My Guy.....
Come on give the guy a break!
You know me I would NEVER make fun of my President Obama. Today he threw out the first pitch for the Nationals against the Phillies. The husband watched the throw, he said it almost went into the stands, bloggers are saying it went far to the left just like his policies! LOL. Thats not nice! But.... Mr. President, the khakis, I did not like the khakis and the rightwing nutters are gonna have a field day making fun of the pants, more than the pitch! They are so immature...
Phillies won 11 to 1, Yay Philly!!

Any unemployed Republicans out there??
On today's Fox News Sunday Jon Kyl was asked by Chris Wallace if the Republicans will support more economic stimulus and extend the unemployment benefits, all the while the benefits will end tomorrow for many Americans because of Repub obstructionism.
Late last month, Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK) announced that he was blocking unanimous consent to move forward on a measure in the Senate to extend unemployment benefits — similar to what Sen. Jim Bunning (R-KY) did weeks prior. However, this time, other Senate Republicans, including Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), are backing Coburn’s obstruction.
.
Senators are on recess until April 12, meaning people losing their benefits tomorrow will have to go without relief for at least a week. “I understand that Republicans are upset they didn’t get their way on health care,” Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) said, chiding the GOP’s obstruction. And on Friday Reid called on the GOP to stop blocking the benefits. “[T]heir obstruction endangers the economic certainty of millions of families,” he said.
Kyl does say they will have to extend the benefits because unemployment is still so high, but he also says it's not a job stimulator. He says by continuing to pay people UI compensation it keeps them home on the couch eating Bon Bons and watching soap operas. It's free money, and you all know how lazy liberals love that free-no-strings-attached-money! Yippee lets take a vacation!
Have you ever had to live on the small barely-get-by-not really-enough-to-buy-food-PLUS-pay the monthly bills unemployment checks Senator Kyl? I kinda doubt it. I also doubt those living in his state of Arizona could live comfortably on 500.00 a week unemployment check and not seek work. I wonder how many unemployed are Republicans, and do they support the GOP obstructing benefits for the unemployed all over this country. Do they suffer yet still blindly support the party of NO COMPASSION??

It's just a stupid religion..
Some might even call it a cult.
Don't yell at me, they're not my words.
The Simpson's talk about it, South Park does too, Why can't I?
I was demonized yesterday and again today with more hate filled comments that are going straight into the trash, to the dismay of some of my readers craving a bit of a circus atmosphere at the expense of my feelings.
I admit, I didn't know much about the religion, but today I learned some interesting facts about Mormonism. First I would like to ask you why it's OK to bash the Catholic Priests who have been in the news? I'm not saying they don't deserve the bashing, but don't be a hypocrite when I say something you don't like about your chosen "religion". I don't have to like your religion, and believe it or not, I don't have to respect Mormonism either.
Mormons are commanded to shun all non-believers. It is OK according to the Book of Mormon, to cheat, lie, steal from, scam and even kill non-believers, and they deserve it for being so.
Mormons must shun their family, friends, children and even spouses if they will not also be Mormons. Mormons should avoid doing business with non-Mormons or fraternizing with them at all, except to convert them or to take advantage of them for the greater good of the Mormon church.
People with dark skins are cursed by God. This must be why they hate President Obama and say he is not even an American citizen, ya think??The whiter you are, the more righteous you are.
All these things are in the Book of Mormon, and Mormons are commanded to believe them literally and to live by these commands in their daily life.
I would never read the Book of Mormon, so if these things really are in there then let the BOOK speak for itself. If you feel you need to defend it, fine by me. It's your religion. But I'm entitled to my opinion on MY blog. If you don't agree, don't read.
To you conservatives who speak evil of me, that's fine. I'm over it, I'll sleep tonight. I will not apologize
for my thoughts, you certainly don't apologize for the things you HATE on your blogs, now do you??
It's only a religion, don't freak the hell out!
This is a comment from Silverfiddle, I thought he was a friend.....'On second thought, Sue, you're a bigot, pure and simple.'
This one made me sad, I'm not a bigot SF, not one single bit.
and this one from an anonymous...'Face it. You are bat-shit crazy. You know that right? Or maybe you're just crazy enough to think that your twisted way of thinking is normal. You are a foul mouthed, uneducated person who clearly is filled with self-loathing to the point that you can't like anyone else either'.
This one made me laugh, probably came from a self-righteous Mormon
This is from lisa, one of MANY! 'So by ignoring all of those comments you've received, you're admitting they're true. Because we all know you don't comment on anything that you can't defend. Instead you say to f-off.'
No lisa, not true. You see, I am not going to publish your comments, I don't feel like I need to argue Glenn Beck with a close-minded person. Go play in the street...
Sorry lisa and all you voyeurs, the rest of the comments are too mean to post, I have a headache from deleting them all.
The Book of Mormon agrees with Archie Bunker, who said: "It ain't supposed to make sense; it's faith. Faith is something that you believe that nobody in his right mind would believe." 32:18
Why are religious people so uptight about their religion? I believe in God, but if someone told me that was stupid and my beliefs were a cult, it wouldn't bother me in the least. Maybe because I'm not a self-righteous, pious, pompous horses ass about religion. Ponder that.
oh yes, it's been a blast....

HYPOCRITES
right wing conservatives are hypocrites. They can call Obama a Nazi, a socialist, the anti-christ, they can call liberals an abomination, evil, the ruination of our country, communists, and that's all well and good. But let a liberal say one derogatory word about their preciousness and we are vilified. Fuck 'em.
I don't need any self righteous wingnut to come here and call me a bigot, I don't need or want your opinion on my blog posts. Don't like, don't fuckin read..
