You've got to love the leftists who equate socialism to social justice and say that freeing slaves was social justice, so let's tax the hell out of the rich and give it to the poor because its the same thing. Well, no, it is not. Ending slavery righted a very great wrong because some people were denied the rights that others in our country had.
However, say I made a million dollars last year, by socialists viewpoints I would have no right to money taken away (through taxes) from someone who made two million dollars last year; however someone who made $10,000 last year could take from both of us. How is it social justice that the person who makes $10,000 has more rights to be able to take from others? If I made that million legally, let's say I invented the Snuggie and people willingly forked over $15 a piece for them, then why is it proper that I shouldn't be able to willingly decide how to distribute my money?
This is where the leftists lack of knowledge of economics fails miserably. If I paid less in taxes, then I (along with millions of Americans) could decide how we want to "stimulate" the economy, by being able to buy more, or invest more, and that creates JOBS. Or I would have more to donate to the charity that I want to.
Why is this so hard to understand?
I please leftists, do not think I have abandoned the discussion below on what I think God thinks of your socialized agenda. It all goes together. But I am curious what motivates you to be a socialist, so please comment below on that

Why is it that Congress (GOP and Dems alike) are the first to tell us we don't need the stipends paid out while our jobs are disappearing faster than cockroaches when the lights are turned on? (and by cockroaches, I am most definitely referring to members of Congress :-) Let’s have a few job-cuts in Congress and see how fast they scream for their bennies.
Personally, I think we should return to Benjamin Franklin’s idea wherein elected officials receive NO pay, or at least a per diem payment such as those WE receive when we are called to OUR “community responsibilities” such as jury duty.
Hell, we even have to pay for our friggin parking during jury duty.
No lobbyist activities vying for our vote, so why in Congress? BTW when was the last time a juror received a free trip to the Bahamas?
