President Obama meets with the families, and Billo is a wackjob...

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news abouth economy

Finally, can we put to rest the talking heads rhetoric that President Obama is emotionally detached from the Gulf disaster? According to Keith Jones, whose son Gordon died in that horrific explosion, his visit to the White House was very nice and the president spent a lot of time talking with  family members of the 11 killed that day in the Gulf.

Then we have Bill O'Reilly on Glenn Becks radio show, what he says about progressives is pretty sickening, so much so it's laughable. These moron rightwingers really should take a look at themselves in the mirror. What they accuse progressives of being is EXACTLY what the wingnuts are!!!

Like anything Ed Schultz or any of "those" talking heads say is credible.
I've seen more meltdowns on MSNBC by "progressives" than Chernobyl.

lets get one thing straight here, the first video is a Gulf disaster victims father talking, HIS words, not Ed Schultz.
AND the second video is Billo spewing stupidity, HIS words not Ed Schultz.
That's the difference between the MSNBC shows and Fox, MSNBC uses the people themselves unlike Fox who just makes up what ever they want to talk about that day.

It took critism of him to meet with the families and the CEO of BP.
Of course he was nice to them what did you expect him to do "Kick their ass"?

You know.. if your comment lisa wasn't so ignorant it would be laughable.

There was no criticism of him not meeting with the family members... It is called giving them time to grieve before talking to them.

Good grief, the president respects what they are going through and has given them the time they wanted before meeting with them...

When I have lost someone I cared about I needed time before I could even think about talking to anyone about it... and I sure wouldn't have wanted someone to intrude on my grief.

As for Hayworth... why should he talk to him. His reps are talking to him daily... what more can the President say to him... Besides its not just Hayworth... there are the others involved with this.. Haliburton and TransOcean. He hasn't met with them either.. and I don't blame him... I wouldn't want to talk to them.. because I would be tempted sorely to kick their asses.

Bill O'Reilly's comments are just another example of republicans accusing progressives of doing the very thing that republicans do all the time.

If you want to know what republicans are up to, just listen to what they accuse their opponents of doing.

Personally, I think the best thing that could happen to this country would be to take Lisa out in the Gulf, tie an anchor around her, and drop her in some oily water. Maybe it would clear her head of stupidity.

JC's right. I read on some rightie blog, but can't verify, that Obama refused help from other countries. Remember Katrina when Cuba wanted to send doctors and medical supplies? Guess who turned them down.

there is no reason to explain anything we do and our president does to morons like lisa. Its a waste of good typing and a waste of our precious time.

Leslie, I like that idea. She probably won't understand what you said tho...:-)

I know Sue... but I just couldn't help myself.. You know I usually don't comment back to her.. I normally ignore her ignorance... but I just had to vent a little.

I know everyone wants him to do nothing but concentrate on the gusher.. but there are other things going on... and if there is one thing this President has proven.. He can do more than one thing at a time...

Life goes on... I feel for the people in the gulf area.. as I think most of us do, but there is more to do than sit on the gulf and be a nuisance to the people there.. what with everything that is involved with him visiting... So I guess he should just stay in the White House and do nothing but think about it... How would that help anything?

I can understand Annette, sometimes her comments are so extremely ignorant we just can't help but comment back, but I usually just delete her.

I think the president has handled the situation well, but there are those who are so jealous of his competence and knowledge that they must say something even if its outrageously STUPID. Has there been a rightwinger this year say ANYTHING nice about our president? No, I don't recall any. But what they will say is "You did it to Bush!" Big difference, Bush deserved it...

Leslie Parsley said...

Plus Bush was no where near Obama in the intelligence department.

I just had another idea. ;-)

Take her down for a mile and plug up the hole with her head.

Annette, she's not only dumb, she's also rude and mentally unstable. I don't have any reservations about slamming people with bad manners.

If Obama was respectful of people he wouldn't have passed trillions of dollars of legislation that clearly people were against. In case you missed those protests.
It's disrespectful when people are struggling and he is partying it up like it's 1999.
It's disrespectful when you purposely make the country you are supposed to be helping thrive and strap it with unsustainable debt.
It's disrespectful when government is supposed to be "of,by and for the people" and turn it into "of,by and for Obama,Pelosi and Reid"

Lisa said...

correction-It's not disrespectful,
it's contemptible.

WHAT???? A few thousand teafuckinbaggers are gonna dictate what our president and congress pass as a healthcare bill?? You are joking right??

People struggle in this country year after year, president after president. Whats he supposed to do kneel in prayer 24/7??

This president is correct, in order to come out of a recession you have to spend money to make money. There is plenty of time to start reducing the deficit. Dem presidents have done it in the past and if the people let Obama he will accomplish it too!

NOW grow the hell up lisa and stop your stupid whining!

Jerry Critter said...

Spending money to make money makes a lot more sense that cutting taxes to raise tax revenue.

Lisa said...

creating jobs to raise revenue would be better and how do we do that? Not adding more social programs that's for sure. Oh and governmnet jobs don't count.

The republicans got us here in the first place. It will take the Democrats to get us out.

bill o'reilly's own words:

So anyway I'd be rubbing your big boobs and getting your nipples hard, kinda' kissing your neck from behind... and then I would take the other hand with the falafel [sic] thing and I'd put it on your pussy but you'd have to do it really light, just kind of a tease business....

and he's calling other people disgusting?

Sue said...

Jerry it's a cycle, rethugs destroy it, dems fix it. We'll do it as long as the country stands with us!

Nonnie, GROSS!!! When and where did he say THAT??? What a PIG!

dmarks said...

Sue: It was O'Reilly spinning like crazy, back when he was caught committing sexual harassment. The "falafel sex" thing is from an actual transcript that turned up as part of this. Yes, he was very Clintonesque.

Sue said...

Oh Clinton, I sure do miss that guy! I'd love to see TODAY all those hypocrite GOP try and take down a Democrat for something so trivial as what they did to Clinton back then. That was pure theatrics watching those hearings!

sue, that's from a transcript of one of the phone calls bill0 made to andrea mackris.
