GOP wants NO regulation and aren't afraid to admit it

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

The GOP, they aren't even afraid to come before the public and say they don't want reform on Wall St. They don't think Wall St. needs regulated. They think we should leave the crooks alone to make their money. Hmmmm...Main St. or Wall St. who do you want your leaders to be on the side of? If you like the way Wall St. handled itself during the Bush reign then go ahead, support the GOP in their efforts to go back to that. And while you're at it, support their filibustering of the jobs bill too, that's supposed to happen this Monday. They don't have any plans to help get America back to work, their priorities lie on Wall St. and making sure they have what it takes to destroy America.

Of course they want no regulation.. they are the ones who pushed to get rid of it in the first place. Reagan started it back when he was in office and it has continued up until now.

They aren't going to change.. They have always been for less or no regulation, letting the "free market" do what it will.

Wall Street might not have what it takes to destroy America, but the Republicans sure as hell do.

Speaking of deregulation, has everyone been reading about what Chevron is doing to the Amazon basin in Ecuador? Dumping tons of toxic waste there? I got an email from Avaaz about this this morning. Avaaz compared the situation to Chernobyl.

The Republicans don’t care about the rape of Mother Nature in their support of big business.

what makes the people of this country put rethugs in office? They are blind to the truth!

Go check open secrets and see who Wall St gives more money to. Hint: It ain't Rethuglicans...

silver, I know Wall St. gives money to dems. But guess what, Wall St. needs regulations in place so we don't have another meltdown and bailout, it's dems who want to put the regulations in place and Wall St. I understand welcomes it. Why rethugs want Wall St. to run amuck and gamble with your money at will is just plain stupid. OR is it genius, they want another meltdown to happen under Obama so they can say "see, I told ya so"

The republicans only concern is that Obama fail. If American fails in the process also, their reply is "Oh well, not our fault".

Jerry this is gonna be one hell of a year. I'll be looking forward to the jobs bill vote supposed to be happening on Monday. How can rethugs keep voting NO on things they would normaling be for, like tax cuts? How long can their followers keep supporting them just because they hate Obama, while watching the country suffer? I guess we can say go ahead thugs, filibuster everything that would help the citizens, and maybe something will trigger the brain cells of the dumb.

How can Republicans say no to bills they sponsored?

easy, they hate America and her people!

look at Wall St., they hate the drop in the unemployment rate. Can you explain that?

I think the reason Republicand get elected is that most mainstream news outlets repeat their lies without challenge or fact check. In addition, the 25% of the US that watch Faux Noise as their favorite source of TV news watch nothing else.

You know I love how people say Wall St. gives more money to the Dems than to the Rethugs.. What it is, if anyone bothers to dig into the numbers is the employees give to the Dems not the corporations..

The money is then Bundled into a sum of money.. usually thousands of dollars and donated under the name of the company. This was discussed over and over during and right after the election and it was shown that it wasn't the Wall St. Firms who were donating it was the EMPLOYEES.. .. Let's set the record straight for the umpteenth time.. SilverFiddle is nothing but a shill for the right wing talking points and is as bad as lisa and Linda.
