This is your GOP, this is their plan for America. Look at it and weep, you can not take back your vote though. Too late now..

Depressed are ya?

How do you like your parties plans teabaggers? How do you like the fact these GOPers want to blow a hole in the national debt, ALL because they are in bed with the rich.....Oh yea, sure we all would love to be rich, we don't fault the rich for being rich. But give this country and her people who kill themselves every day just to get by......oh never mind, you and your party don't give 2 fucks about the middleclass working men and women.....

UPDATE:

House Minority Leader John A. Boehner on Wednesday signaled he isn't willing to budge in negotiations with Democrats on his stance that Bush-era tax cuts on wealthy Americans must be made permanent, saying they are needed to boost investor confidence and create jobs.
"I think extending all of the current tax rates and making them permanent will reduce the uncertainty in America and would help small businesses," the Ohio Republican and the presumed incoming House speaker told reporters at the Capitol. "You can't invest when you don't know what the rules are, when you don't know what the tax rates are going to be next year.
"And that's why making these [tax cuts] permanent would be the most important thing we could do to help create jobs in the country."

But Mr. Bonehead, President Obama has told you over and over, the tax rates will be the same as they were under Bill Clinton. What is it you don't understand? Please sober up and pay attention.. SHEEEEZ!!!

They loved it, is the answer to that.

they love it? They are for small government and complain about our huge deficit problem, but they love this chart?? They Agree with this chart, and are happy?? They are fuckin wackjobs and don't need to call themselves patriots...

Sue ~ Big spenders in the government (no matter their label) should have heard the message. Smaller government would mean less spending, less waste, and lower taxes for everyone...not just the "evil" rich. The Obama definition of rich includes a lot of small businesses who will be hurt by the higher taxes under Obama. That, in turn, will make your goods and services more expensive.

Why can't liberals see that those with money are the people who build businesses and hire employees. If you tax them out of existance, then who will do the job creating? Government?...hardly.

Jerry Critter said...

Yes, we can't tax those rich people who create jobs. All those jobs they are just waiting to create when we extend their tax cuts. They have had their tax cuts for about 10 years.

WHERE ARE THE FUCKING JOBS?

The Wool Cupboard said...

BTW, Sue...here is some information on the source for your chart...great source....yeah...great.

"Ezra Klein writes an opinionated blog on economic policy, collapsing banks, cap and trade, health care reform and pretty much anything else you can attach a chart to. His blog points to the hottest policy ideas on the Web and provides his own up-to-the-minute take. Before coming to The Post, he was an associate editor at the American Prospect. Klein has appeared as a guest on CNN, MSNBC, NPR and C-SPAN and lots of online radio shows you've never heard of.

Klein, who makes a mean kung pao, will also be a regular contributor to The Post's Food section. He contributes to the group food blog the Internet Food Association."

Jerry Critter said...

What does that have to do with the accuracy of the chart? Should we discount your statements simply because you are opinionated and maybe know how to cook? How about attacking the numbers instead of the author?

Leslie Parsley said...

At least he isn't one dimensional.

Sue said...

Only a tiny teensy number of small businesses fall under that category Linda, Listen to the experts they have been saying that for 2 yrs. NOW ...Jerry is correct, these rich million and billionaires have had their tax cuts for YEARS, so where are the jobs. And this excuse they are sitting on their money because of Obamas policies is a crock. The GOP and the corporations don't care a bit about Americans and jobs as long as they have their jobs and no taxes to pay.

BTW, you guessed it, I love Ezra Klein..

Sue said...

Leslie don't ya love a man who can cook? Jerry do you cook for your wife?

The chart speaks for itself, and it's the damn truth.

Tongue-in-cheek, Sue.

Why can't people like you see that people who have that money want to make more and they'll do it the best way possible even if it means outsourcing. Face it, they don't give a damn about American jobs, just ask Meg Whitman and that's just for starters.

When people who have that kind of money hold it over your heads as if to say, "Work with me or else" they are a traitor to humanity and deserve to lose what they swindled out of people to get for themselves. That goes for EITHER side of the aisle.

Watching g.w. on the Today Show this morning we got a great look(once again) at his "I reject your reality and insert my own" when faced with his justification of his tax cuts and funding the war.

When will tea party people wake up and realize they got duped this election. It's already a reality that rand paul is back tracking on earmarks. This is just a start of things to come. In one year, tell me how YOUR hopey-changey tea party elected officials are workin' for ya. Idiots.

Enter phase one of "Operation: Tea bag the tea party".

Sue said...

I knew that JJ, my reply sounded smartass but I wasn't being to you, but to the teabaggers.

thanks C, well said!

The CDM said...

Sue - When g.w. created those tax cuts, we saw an aggregious amount of businesses moving outside the U.S. becasue they were allowed to and they let greed take over. They didn't give a flying fuck about saving American jobs.

I will give Linda this much(and only this much), her idealogy would have worked over 50 years ago, but not today. We are seeing greed at a level never seen before and it comes at the cost of the middle class.

Don't let that "small business" tag fool you. There are just too many loop holes that won't be closed be this newly elected(high on promise, low on return) congress. You'll see proof of this with the gridlock that's on the way. The devil will be in the details, look for it.

Empirical evidence does not support the claim that raising taxes on the highest incomes would discourage job creation. Under both Clinton and Reagan, taxes on the highest incomes were higher than they were under Bush II. Yet under both Clinton and Reagan, job growth was far more vigorous than under Bush II (even before the recession which Republican deregulation-mania eventually created).

The economic stimulative effect of money in the hands of the poor and middle-class is greater than that of the same money in the hands of the wealthy, because the former are more likely to (need to) spend it immediately. Thus, if taxes must be raised, it's better to raise them for the highest incomes.

As for cutting spending, to make a serious dent in the deficit that way, you'd need to go after the really high-dollar spending categories -- Medicare, Social Security, the military, farm subsidies. I'd be happy to see farm subsidies eliminated, but the others are likely to require even more money in the future. There's a limit to how far you can get, in the real world, by cutting.

Unfortunately, people like Linda don't like facts and evidence that are in opposition to what Beck and Limbaugh tell her.

And finally, FINALLY, this week, the WSJ and reporters pushed back against another GOP liar, Sarah Palin, when she tweeted her made up factesques on rising food prices.

She was finally called out on her stupidity and shallow understanding of monetary issues.

Has anyone besides me noticed how the darlings of the TP movement are getting push-back from their party and the MSM? Finally? Palin, Bachmann?

Something's afoot friends. I think the GOP understands that the TP people like Bachmann, Palin, etc. have been useful idiots, but now could place in danger its ability to run a serious candidate against Obama in 2012.

I think we'll see more criticism of Palin's stupid tweets that will eventually delegitimize her chances at getting the nomination.

The primary concerns of many of those who already have a lot of money is to preserve their wealth and make even more money.

There are no guarantees they'll reinvest in America and create more jobs. The free marketeers will downsize and outsource if it means more money for them.

We've gone through the worst economic catastrophe in 80 years, and are still engaged in two wars, one winding down and the other apparently escalating. What I find appalling is the bottomline lack of economic patriotism of those who put tax cuts for the rich above such national concerns. Show me how the unemployed, downsized, or outsourced American worker will be helped by an un-targeted tax cut, or how war debt will be reduced, or how long term care for the disabled veterans of the Iraq & Afghanistan wars (remember them?) will be improved.

Once again, just minutes ago, a new GOP member of Congress (Bob Gibbs of Ohio on MSNBC) mouthed the same words from the same script....we'll cut discretionary spending....without mentioning one specific item.

Remember the last scene of THE CANDIDATE with Robert Redford? There are now 260+ Republicans, old and new, in the House- all of whom are asking the same question....now what do we do?

Sue - lisa is back with a capital L this time. I'm not going to bother with reading her link from the examiner - no less.

Linda - Under GW, there were a net 1M jobs created; under Clinton, 22 million jobs created. I'm not providing a link - you're a big girl and can do your own research.

These tax cuts have been in place for 10 years now; I have seen little to no job growth. (And it's 4% for Dog's sake - we're not raising it to even 50%) Remove the tax cuts (which are really restoring the taxes to the Clinton levels) and leave the middle class tax cuts in place. There are very few "small business" that would be hurt by the restoration of the tax cuts. Besides, Obama has passed at least 3 tax cuts to small businesses in the last 2 years. They are the ones spurring the economy. And what about the rich? They just sit on their money or invest it. Plain and simple. I'm with Infidel on this.

And let's start with the military budget - there's so much waste and fraud in there, it would make your head spin.

If they have their way, retirement from middle class down will only be a wild dream. Social Security: GONE, Medicare: GONE...

Gene I'm afraid I agree. The dems better get some spine from now til January while they still have all the majorities because come January we are fucked... I can't think of one democrat who could take Reids place and be a strong voice for our side, Isn't that pitiful? Dems are pussies no doubt about it. The big bad fuckin thugs scare the piss outta them!

Sue said...

C, as hard as they will try, the thugs will not be able to privative SS. It's been 75 yrs and they will not succeed. Bring these wars to an end President Obama, that's where you can start saving money, and only there. The wars and the defense budget, this is where we begin.

Sue said...

Lisa simply put, the thugs have to fight for the rich tax cuts as payback for the elections. This is our America, the rich get richer as the poor and middleclass get fucked. When will people like Linda wake up to reality?

Fucking assholes will give to the rich by taking from the middleclass and of course ending services for the poor.

Shaw Kenawe said...

Uh-Oh! Now Susan Collins of Maine is on Palin's ass!

What did I tell you guys?

Why are we witnessing certain GOPers call her out now?

I tell you. They sent out the memo and the little bots are falling in line to nix Palin's presidential ambitions.

Every time I think of Palin believing that she is remotely qualified for the most powerful position on the planet I either throw up a little in my mouth or fall over laughing.

The problem with our 24/7/365 cable news is that every little rumor is reported as NEWS! Here's what Mr. Obama actually said about the Bush tax cuts:

Source: CNN

President Obama declared Friday that his "No. 1 priority" is preserving tax cuts for the middle class, and sharply denied that comments by his senior adviser David Axelrod suggest that his administration is about to cave in to Republicans who also want to extend the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy.

"That is the wrong interpretation because I haven't had a conversation with Democratic and Republican leaders," Obama said of a Huffington Post article suggesting that in advance of negotiations with lawmakers next week, the White House has calculated that giving in on tax cuts for the rich is the only way to get the middle class cuts extended too.

"Here's the right interpretation -- I want to make sure that taxes don't go up for middle class families starting on January 1," Obama said at a news conference at the conclusion of the G-20 Summit in South Korea. "That is my No. 1 priority for those families and for our economy. I also believe that it would be fiscally irresponsible for us to permanently extend the high income tax cuts.

"I think that would be a mistake, particularly when we've got our Republican friends saying that their No. 1 priority is making sure that we are dealing with our debt and our deficit," he said.

Sue said...

Shaw I posted a link to the statement and I'm gonna try to trust President Obama that he will be strong in his convictions and not cave to the GOP thuggery. Thanks!
