Change has finally come to the White House regarding its visitor logs.
In a statement released Friday President Obama says for the first time in history records of White House visitors will be made available to the public. "We will achieve our goal of making this administration the most transparent not only by opening the doors of the White House to more Americans but by shining a light on the business conducted inside it. Americans have a right to know whose voices are being heard in the policy making process."
Compare this change to the Bush administration when the Religious Right thought it was going to be able to make laws, trying to turn this country into a dictatorship! And they say communists are in the White House today? Wow!
“The Obama administration has proven its pledge to usher in a new era of government transparency was more than just a campaign promise,” CREW Executive Director Melanie Sloan said. “The Bush administration fought tooth and nail to keep secret the identities of those who visited the White House. In contrast, the Obama administration – by putting visitor records on the White House web site – will have the most open White House in history.”

Now if he would be transparent as to who is set to make money off of Universal Health care and Cap and Trade then I would say we had "real" transparency.
I know you're probably tired of this but let's use Bush as an scenario. We are not going to post who has been to White House up until now.
All this is going to do is add to Obama's "Carbon Foot print" because instead of having controversial people come to him,he will have to be jetted off in Air Force One to go to them like he is doing today to address his cronies from the Labor Unions.
Because he can't thank them enough for helping him get elected. You know those people who get their great benefit packages courtesy of the rest of us. What an honor to have such "transparency"
Not to be redundant but just "suppose " Bush went Air Forcing One all over to meet with cronies.
for the record they are only releasing those lists in response to law suits and complaints.
So 3 months later we get to see the names.
It's like he's doing something so wonderful yet he's really not doing anything. But I guess everyone is entitled to their opinion about it.
If he doesn't release the names from January ntil now I believe it would be safe to assume he is hiding soemthing.
