Ripped from "The Economist" online edition.
Do I really have to explain this? I have told a certain...few to turn off the damn TV before and pick up a newspaper. Hell, make it a book. If you simply need the noise, there's always XM/Sirius. Just ask Sue, seems there's always something cranking in the background and it ain't Fox Noise.

I forgot to ad, my TV gets turned on at 6am and if I'm home all day, the TV is on til I go to bed, now sometimes its Elmo or a Dora DVD, but it's ON!
Sue between that and your computer doesn't that add to Global Warming.?
That will cost you 3 carbon credits.
When I was married we had 5 of the damn things in the house & I never even liked TV. Too much bullshit on it for me. It wasn't my idea,to have them all of course.
My ex-husband got a huge big screen TV as soon as I left.
I don't have one now & I don't miss it. I even feel a little superior about it. :)
rita I feel like my TV and computer are a lifeline to the happenings around the world, I need them to function!
I try to watch Olbermann and Maddow daily in addition to some time on Faux Noise. Why Faux? To keep my BS detector sharp.
